There are a bunch of sources that all point to that number. You have to keep in mind you have 1% chance to miss no matter your hit rating, as well as player resistances to a given spell school that you also have to factor in. But in PvP there is a 4% chance you miss on a lvl 60 target with 0 resistances. 3% of that 4% can be countered with hit rating. Hope that helps. You can ask in the Moonking’s discord as well if you need further clarification. Cheers!
J T he said the bwl gloves would be uncontested, considering druid is not a horde only class, I thought the point that hpallys would be gunning for them as well was valid because alliance druids can also learn from this guide.
Love how boomkin look likes :b boomkin with rag hammer wet dream ! Just for the look! But yeah dreams are dreams... Sadly boomkin so bad in vanilla in general :(!I've heard feral becomes like stable for raid dps at naxx but req a BIG effort to work. For pvp I've heard around end AQ feral/resto should shine as well for pvp more so then balance/resto. Yeah I guess we first really shine once tbc comes out. :) Thanks for the video
Great video. Learnt a few things I wouldnt have figured out myself because i play semi casually. I just hit 60 and I mostly have agility gear. How could I transition into this build with the gear I have? Is going into Balance tree without getting moonkin form to dish out heals as well viable?
Yeah Druids are great healers so that’s a good way to get some gear with intellect for sure. The tier 1 set is good starting set and pretty ways to get!
yo good video, i really want that rank 13 armour for pvp maybe wear helm, shoulder and boots or chest i think that 3 set would be very strong, though its unlikely ill ever pvp that much. you know when you plan on streaming next?
Hey wuwi, i was wondering why all prebis and bis lists for boomies dont try and get spell hit capped? Am i being terribly silly by prioritizing spell hit over anytihng else in a purely pve dps environment?
i am not wuwi but ill try answering, its not that you shouldn't try to get spell hit capped, its just that there arnt many good pieces of loot will spell hit out there and the ones that are good; nef tear, band of forced concentration, bracers of arcane accuracy, are all highly contested items. As for other items star of mysteria and banthok sash are good hit items but the decrease in spell power from MC equivalents like choker and mana cord is too big e.g 34 spellpower lost from choker for 1% hit on star. i might consider the 2% hit belt on par with mana igniting cord. it varies from character to character but 1% hit is worth around 14-15 sp as a guideline. once zg hits it should be possible to hit hit cap or get close to it without gimping your stats as alot of really strong hit items are introduced. hope this helps.
Its a good question. I believe that getting hit cap or very close to it is going to be the biggest prio (at least for me in a PVE situation for raiding). We lose a lot of mana and dps down time for every miss due to the high cost and cast time of each miss. It is hard to really know as there isn't a lot of balance druid testing, and it currently isn't possible to test. Hit is generall about 10-12 +spell dmg equiv but if youre able to get full hit cap then i would personally pick lower dps pieces to do that. Getting hit cap also gains in value if youre using world buffs and consumables, in which cast I believe it is going to be the biggest priority. I plan to personally test all this once ZG is out and hit cap is actually possible.
These were just some clips from 2 games to showcase this gear set up. Wasn’t intended to be some skill based montage video. I’ll be posting some montage type stuff soon :)
Love the vids and streams dude there really entertaining. Just a quick one about Bloodvine. Are you planning on using bloodvine in a pvp build or will u only use it for pve situations? Just trying to figure out if its significant enough difference for me to invest into tailoring just for raiding or stick with other pvp build. Thanks in advance bro
I am not using bloodvine for PvP. I am actually in the middle of editing my phase 4 boomkin guide that goes through what I’m doing for PvP and what I’m doing for pve - gear and professions and how I’m making gold. It will be posted later today so check it out :)
I’m going to make a video on that this weekend regarding what I’m doing to prep for phase 4 specifically as boomkin. But TLDR I just got tailoring maxed for the bloodvine set bonus and have all the mats together. Phase 4 will be big for us and warlocks because of how important the hit gear is.
Mawb no I won’t use it for PvP. Since it has no stam and is cloth it isn’t gonna be a good PvP choice. PvP caster hit cap is technically 3% but you can still get resisted even if you have 3% depending on your targets nature/arcane resistances. I used to think that hit cap was the most important but didn’t realize that you can still get resisted at 3%. Ideally you hit 3% Spellbreak hit while losing very little stats - this will be a lot easier with ZG coming out.
Jake B I think if you are ranking and get the PvP gear the feral spec would be great. Once T2.5 is out it also would work amazing with the balance/feral build. The only issue with the feral spec is going oom
MR. J I’m not sure as alliance tbh. I’m currently just trying to get AB exalted so I’m only spamming those. I think if you can get a wsg premade and win most of your games that’s the fastest, if I had to guess
@O K how do i get to be as awesome as you? You are my hero. Someday I can be better than just and average player if I work really hard and really dedicate myself. Thanks, you have inspired me. If I really believe in myself, i can achieve my dreams.
@@Coakn11 spell pen reduces targets resistances to schools of magic. But a full resist is based on spell hit. Not sure what specific thing I said in the video you’re referencing but the way spell hit/pen works in PvP is pretty well documented at this point.
Yea there are honestly a bunch of different options in pvp gearing depending on what kind of playstyle you want, while playing the exact same talents. If I went through every gearing option it would be a very long video haha. But the T1 set is very easy to get compared to a lot of gear and is a really good starting point, and I did talk about most all the offset pieces and various easy to get options. Are there specific item slots you're having a hard time finding decent pieces for?
I’m really confused as to why you don’t opt for more spell damage gear? I get survivability is good and all. However, you’re putting out very little damage.
I have more offensive gear but it’s hard to have higher dmg and not sacrifice armor/stats. I’ll showcase some of my more offensive set ups soon but it’s a higher risk higher reward playstyle. Both work, just different :)
O K I really don’t understand what you’re trying to say? A good Boomkin in all cloth should be able to survive just about any situation. So the need for survival gear to “cast” is obsolete.
Ashley McTaggart it’s more than just cloth. A lot of the higher dps gear have a lot less stats like int and stam, making you oom pretty quickly in longer fights or have a very low health pool. If you’re going against a good hunter for example, and you’re in full cloth, if he viper stings you one time and you shift to cleanse it he can global you if you’re full glass cannon. There are infinite combos of gear you could use. This is just one example that is pretty feasible for most people to get. The gear I use now for PvP is a lot higher dps than this specific set, but also not realistic for everyone to get.
WUWI my reply was aimed at “O K” not you. However, I understand what you’re saying to a degree. The way I see it, and always have, is I don’t use much Stan/armour gear due to the fact I’ve always survived just fine without it. Most spell power gear has plenty of Int on it and the gear has “increases damage and healing”. Therefore, your healing is also increased with said gear. Also a hunters viper sting can be cleansed..
Haha, this was fun...makes me wanna play my Tauren again - thanks for sharing!

Whats the addon that show you the spells you cast?!
It’s called TrufiGCD. I have a link in my addon video
fight starts at 12:43
What addon is installed that shows rank and pvp info on the screen?
Not sure what addon you mean. I don’t have honor spy or anything. Maybe if you tell me a time stamp in the video I can look at what you mean.
WUWI 14:21 for example
Sultanbek Markenov oh I think you’re referencing the tiny tooltip on the bottom right of the screen? That’s what the addon is called. Tiny tooltip.
WUWI thanks
Your previous build went Feral insted of resto...why the change?
Because I need the reflection talent for PVE. The mana regen is too important for longer fights

Sir, Hit has nothing to do with resistence
in pvp players (lvl 60) have a 3% chance to resist/miss. so pvp "hit cap" is 3%.
@@wuwi5833 hit doesnt affect enemy resistance(nature from nightelf racial).thats spell penetration which you get from some naxx epics
