From someone who played alot of Vanilla/TBC Servers: Play what you want and don't focus on numbers only. I personally haven't Recount installed anymore and only check logs if im interested how I performed. It's better not to be Top-DPS and have fun instead of the opposite. Paladins are hella underrated in Classic. Great tanks, and Ret is a better healer than Holy because you can fill a second role while basically losing zero healing efficacy
I never leveled a Paladin in vanilla before and want to play one in fresh first. I do like healing are you saying going a ret spec is fine to heal dungeons?
@jayfrein2630 Ret is fine to raid with. I don't recommend Prot to tank 5mans until like 55+ and I don't recommend Holy to do anything past like 20 points in the tree. Ret also makes a better 5man tank than Prot does and I have the perfect hybrid build if you're interested.
@@ThoGreyClassic 21/0/30 going down Holy to get 5/5 Illumination and down in Ret to get 5/5 Vengeance. You basically lose Holy Shock, which nobody uses anyways, and 5% spell crit.
@@Jvstmthe problem with this build in a raid scenario is if you're ret but going to be healing you may as well just be holy. Because of this you'll want that 5% spell crit since critsmake pally heals free. Your build may work in 5 man's and pvp though
All I wanted was classic tbc a year is to short for phases in just going to level and shelve my class or just wait a year for tbc pre patch and level. I may wait a year and level an alliance shamans.
I think that warriors are going to be quite "lackluster" this time, because raids will have far less resets with just 11 months for all the classic raids... consider the low drops on classic and how warriors heavily rely on gear... a lot will be set for disappointment having classic and vanilla expectations. On the other hand, less gear dependent classes will shine much more.
It’s going to be tough to convince myself to play Paladin again after playing Season of Discovery. I loved playing my Prot Paladin which isn’t an option in Vanilla sadly. Same with Hunter too. Just leveling up with a functional pet taunt and combat trap mechanic was so nice.
@@ThoGreyClassic I could be wrong since I stopped playing SoD at the end of MC but we never ran pets in raid. The biggest thing for leveling was the BM rune taunt and being able to drop traps in combat / launcher.

FrostFire Mages were goated in pvp AND you could have a heal. Boomys could have Wild Growth! Runes were awesome.
In classic '19 I mained a Prot Pally. Excellent dungeon tank. Excellent OT in raids. I OT in all raids except Naxx and that was because our guild didn't make it in there before TBC dropped. The lack of a taunt will always be a handicap, but don't let that sour you on prot. Holy is an A to S tier healer and Ret is a blast to lvl with. With all that being said, all but sweaty try-hard raids will welcome multiple paladins just for the blessings alone.
2h slam fury warrior is one of the most compelling rotations in all of classic (imo) and it actually is pretty viable on both sides (10-20% worse than dw fury on alliance, but still capable of parsing 90th percentile + in the right situation). Grab The Untamed Blade or Bonereaver's Edge and give it a go!
Warrior is a great class in general. Would you play 2H slam Fury warrior as Horde only or would you think Alliance is also viable for it ( I know that 2H Fury War is a thing as horde because WF totem )
@@ThoGreyClassic If you want to put up bigger numbers as 2h warrior, horde is probably better, but vanilla WoW raids are easy for the most part in 1.12 (Naxx as a possible exception) you really don't need that extra 10-15% dps. It is still viable on alliance side as well due to the human racial combo with strong 2h swords/maces and how salvation allows you to dive in much harder at the beginning of a fight without risking the boss being pulled. I played alliance side my first go around and absolutely loved it (cleared AQ40 as 2h slam fury, but had to quit raiding before Naxx). People always assume that it is a meme in terms of its ability to parse, but my Best Perf. Avg (on warcraftlogs) for BWL when it was current content was 94th percentile and AQ was 90th percentile. So, it definitely can clear all content without being a burden (even on alliance), especially when you consider that you do great damage without being another person who needs strong 1handers like the dw warriors and rogues.
Hunter I find the most fun in classic followed by 2h slam fury warrior. It has so much depth whether you want to play it casually or minmaxed. Gonna main Hunt again this time around, warrior will be a nightmare trying to get loot lol same with mage and rogue.

Don't get me wrong. Not here to bash you but making a tier list with the title "most fun" is very subjective and has a lot of personal bias. Some dont care what is most fun and just roll whats best (meta) while others do play w/e they prefer. For example all from a S-tier class to a disc/holy dps priest for BGs/dungeons/raids. What are good (and fun) duo combos for Classic is a better asked question. Warrior alone, ugh...wake me up once we're at max lvl. Add a pocket healer to it and it's crazy good/fun etc.
I mean that's litterally what it is, a bias, opinionated list. Which I say at the start of the video. Fun is subjective, anyone that clicks on it should ''know'' that it's an opinion video with no pure hard truths although I do give arguments on why these classes AND specs are fun or not TO me. Have you watched the video before writing the comment tho.. I don't take it hard or take it as a bash, but it's like, I say it's bread, it tastes like bread, it looks like bread, I say it's bread, but then you point out that yes it is bread..
Imagine if they did a minor tweak on it this time around like give us some extra talent points... Like 31 extra right at lvl 10. Imagine all the new theorycrafting it would unlock while you could basically be 2 specs at once 🤯 Idk I was just thinking I loved SoD but a lot of people didn't for whatever reason 🤷 At least something like just stright up giving us extra talent points wouldn't be anything crazy hard for them to implement while still putting a new spin on things 🤔 I know it's probably too late for them to change it at such short notice but I just thought it was a neat idea. Doesn't seem like the Vanilla Freshers really care if it's balanced or not 🤷 I mean imagine that... If you could be 2 specs at once 🤔 😂
I think that would be too strong for current normal classic world. Maybe some TBC spells into Classic? But even then, it starts to be Classic+ at that point. Dual Spec is something that i'd like to have without breaking the world.
Classic players: "I like the old talent trees because they gave you the option to play hybrid builds. But I wish they could fix the class balance issue." SoD: Comes out with runes that expand on that idea allowing you to play a Frost Mage with a mix of Fire runes if you wanted. And made the class balance better. Level up raids, new world buffs, world buff saver. Classic players: "I don't like it." 🤦
"fun while levelling" isn't a good metric I don't think. You'll spend 2 - 5 weeks leveling (depending on how sweaty you are) and then you'll spend a year + playing it in end game content. It is the year + that matters in the long run.
I think I’m going to co level all 3 paladin styles as much as port and ret suck ass. Probably run a second account with a resto Druid on my other computer to heal my ret pally while he levels so I don’t slow down….. I’ll be 40 when wotlk classic classic releases… dammit

They are lowky unkillable for alot of people! SP would be the only way I play priest tho!
@@ThoGreyClassicnah u go shadow when u get enough talents until u can get shadow form u play disc until then
You know what I would really like that nobody is doing? An ease of gearing tier list. I'm avoiding mage and dps warrior because I dont want to roll against 50% of the server.
Great idea, i'll write it down. Be sure to check it out in a few days :p
Trying to get gear as rogue/warrior even in a guild will be tough. Imagine rolling on rings, weapons and trinkets against 12-15 melee dps
Mained warrior since 2004. I know who i am and what i am.
Just be war tank, not war dps, and u would make so many friends :)
Don’t even need to spec prot for leveling either to still be a good tank! Only becomes more important later on
I want to play a spec that destroys hunters im still buthurt from my last era mage BG's..!
Hunters are great duelists hmmm, I did have some difficulties versus Ele shamans I guess? Because they could burst way harder than me. Maybe a Shadow priest? Tbf, Hunters are as good as they are piloted. It's defo a very strong 1V1 class.
@@ThoGreyClassic I fucking hate them ... (he says always wild eyed in jealousy - should i roll one maybe - NA...) SP it is ... Im coming hunters im commmmmmiiiiinnnnngggg for you.....! GLORY TO THE HORDE....!
@@julien1 Good luck in your journey ! :)
I can't decide between Druid and shaman
Play druid. They're rare and you'll get a raid spot for your brez and innervates
@@justinkedgetor5949 You'll also have a spot as Shaman tho! But both a great, it'll depend on what you'd like to do while leveling, pvp and pve.
People play what they like. Who has someone tell them what they should play?
Nobody tells them tho
Not having lock on s tier is wild ngl
It's a most fun tier list hahah, if for you Warlock si S tier, more power to you.
My list isn't here to impose unbreakable science. It's purely from my experience.
bots, bank cards, an 1-60 dungeon spam? those are my fears
You don't need to dungeon spam 1-60 mate. Alot of people are going to be out of in the world doing their thing. OBviously some levels are ''more'' enjoyable to dungeon grind ( SM is great, ZF is also great and BRD at one point) but that's not the whole 1-60 personally.
I thought my screen was damaged
Damn you guys keep on bullying me :'( hahaha
Hello there! Tnx for the video mate :) I will be rolling ally priest and will be looking for someone to lvl and do pvp later. How can I join your discord channel, its saying that my invitatio nhas expiried ....tnx
Hi mate, thank you ! the discord is discord.gg/VAunytcK but It's not really active.. I really suck at keeping it up lol
I am either gonna roll pvp rogue or pve priest
Or both :) You mean servers or just simply your playstyle for both classes?
@@ThoGreyClassic servers! I think a rogue would be fun at wpvp.
@@ogikay7056 Oh mate, play PVP. It's the first time we will have actual balancing on the server ( 55/45 is maybe the largest swing we can have, but with a factionlock, so it will never end up being a 90/10 server! )
Imagine all the new theorycrafting it would unlock while you could basically be 2 specs at once 🤯
Idk I was just thinking I loved SoD but a lot of people didn't for whatever reason 🤷
At least something like just stright up giving us extra talent points wouldn't be anything crazy hard for them to implement while still putting a new spin on things 🤔
I know it's probably too late for them to change it at such short notice but I just thought it was a neat idea.
Doesn't seem like the Vanilla Freshers really care if it's balanced or not 🤷
I mean imagine that... If you could be 2 specs at once 🤔 😂
I think that would be too strong for current normal classic world. Maybe some TBC spells into Classic? But even then, it starts to be Classic+ at that point.
Dual Spec is something that i'd like to have without breaking the world.
WHO plays regular Vanilla for the difficulty???
Classic players: "I like the old talent trees because they gave you the option to play hybrid builds. But I wish they could fix the class balance issue."
SoD: Comes out with runes that expand on that idea allowing you to play a Frost Mage with a mix of Fire runes if you wanted. And made the class balance better. Level up raids, new world buffs, world buff saver.
Classic players: "I don't like it."
🤦
"fun while levelling" isn't a good metric I don't think. You'll spend 2 - 5 weeks leveling (depending on how sweaty you are) and then you'll spend a year + playing it in end game content. It is the year + that matters in the long run.
To be fair, not alot of stuff would be high in raids mate. There are like a few exceptions that are ''fun'' to play in raids.
I think I’m going to co level all 3 paladin styles as much as port and ret suck ass. Probably run a second account with a resto Druid on my other computer to heal my ret pally while he levels so I don’t slow down….. I’ll be 40 when wotlk classic classic releases… dammit
Hahahah BUT I think it's possible to do, get aggro, do AOE, swap acc, HOTs on the prot paladin, swap account reapply Concecration !
Druid>all others
Good video! I am playing Druid on both the HC and Normal realms. Super cool class, versatile and fun to play, and pretty easy to level. I made a video on all my reasons if ya wanna check it out =)
enhance shaman all the way

DK not in the game anymore?
Not in classic wow mate
@@ThoGreyClassic yea my bad it was late here. thanks
people pvp in vanilla? wtf cant even see nameplates of chars more than 20years away, how is that even enjoyble? have to drink water after each kil, 50% of the time before a kill too
Go play retail , lay off the drugs.
I find it enjoyable, you can actually surprise people lol. I really dislike nameplates in retail to show you anyone and everyone in your sight. Kills the surprises lol
@@ThoGreyClassic i can still see their name very far away like 300yards, no no real surprise (you can increase name size in settings) i just dont see their hp so i dont know which oner to target as a ranged class even if im just at 24 yeards and clearly see everyone in range
huh?????? vanilla wPvP is legitimately the most fun i've had on WoW. if you have a friend or multiple friends to play with, it's the greatest thing ever.
lol put on ramshtein and pwn
My playlist is sooo ready.
lol you can tell he never played phase 1
Ah really? So I have dreamt 2019? Lmao
ppl still amazed by this classic garbage again lol have fun in botland once again.. we want a new mmo and not this garbage
But why do you click on 2 seperate videos about classic and decide to comment on it. You'll get full recomendations for these types of videos lol
classic is lame as fuck, warriors, priests, mage. terrible variety
But why click on a classic video :(.
And I don't agree with you on the variety. Let's stop pretending every raid group is all about minmaxing to the T with 25 wars.
@ThoGreyClassic I like watching the classic videos, I'm glad people enjoy it but for me it's an absolute nightmare. Like we played it when it came out, the game evolved for a reason. If you could mount at 20 I'd be all over it. Running around like a pleb is soul destroying

@@ThoGreyClassicit pretty much is though, you bring at least 1 of each other class for buffs and you try to fill with warriors.
