Las Vegas valley water works is the largest user of electricity in the state because they have to pump all the water uphill to their customers..

Spillways, located within the Hoover Dam, consist of tubes that pass through the dam and terminate in gates, all of which are susceptible to damage in the event of an earthquake. If these spillways were to become blocked, what would happen to the water entering Lake Mead above the Hoover Dam? The water levels would increase, causing it to flow into Las Vegas through the connecting ravines.

Don’t worry about that it’s going to be holding back nothing but hot air when the lake runs dry. it’s only a matter of time. They almost hit dead pool and that should have been enough for the wake up call to Las Vegas but it wasn’t they are still building and using water like the lake is full. They only have a little bit of time left when they start running like cockroaches to get out before the water is gone. That dam was never intended to help that many people in all those states.
