that killer instinct one is shockingly true, I fought a gally with those damn sails for like an hour with me mate and after I finally boarded them and got all 4 they sunk
When it comes to the stereo types for alliance flags, I'd say, if they got gold hoarder emissary they fall into two types, The Gits who just need more gold for pirate legend stuff, and The Pussies of the reaper emissaries. The second is because they are just reapers emissaries who are so scared of being seen on the map they hide at ports as gold hoarders and chase ANY ship (even if they got no loot or on a tale tale) to the fartherest reaches of the map and YES even through flameheart islands even if they get heavily damaged, Oh they are also more likely to triple board if they are on a galleon. I write this due to my many experiences with players who do this.
Order ships have random loot because it's usually easier to find good skulls through the RNG of island hopping. Bounty quests are a pain in the ass. Especially when you're a solo sloop trying to track down a single specific spawnpoint on an island the size of Thieves Haven.
Can't exactly blame pve reapers. It's one of the easiest to level factions in the game, since it takes every kind of loot. Everyone knows that as far as lore goes reapers are *supposed* to be all about fighting and plundering. For some reason rare didn't consider this with their mechanics though. And not everyone cares about rp that much. Should've implemented that you only get the maximum amount of gold and rep if the turned in loot was previously claimed by someone else, like with fallen flags.
I will never not chase down and try to kill any reaper who doesn't go after me. If I'm tier 5 merchants and a tier 5 reapers is an island away and doesn't come at me? I'm coming at them. You owe it to the flame when you sign that contract, raise that flag. You will plunder, loot, maim and destroy to satiate his neverending hunger for violence. If you fail this simple task? You shall burn with the rest. Hail flameheart, and let the seas burn. And on that note, why are you playing the most rp-friendly faction with the thematic cosmetics when you don't wanna actually play the faction as intended. It just seems like a very boring way to play.
@@ReddCrystal because that same rp-friendly faction is BY FAR the most profitable faction if you want to grind gold. Again, not everyone cares about rp or what the original idea behind reaper's was. People just see a faction with massive bonuses. Don't like it? Tell rare to remove the gold bonus for any loot that wasn't acquired through PvP, then you'll have a faction that's actually rp friendly.
As someone who is new to SoT, I use the hunter hull livery and plain black sails. I try to do my quests without being noticed but that doesn't always work out. Haha! I just subbed to your channel. Keep up the great content!
Addition: the shrouded ghost set, people who have this never actually killed a shrouded or probably even seen one. These guys only use the sword and sniper. They think there tough just because they spent 5-10 dollars on a Ship set. Advice: don’t use the shrouded set until you actually killed the shrouded and have the title that proves it.
i got the ship set, outfit and title since i killed it while teaching some noobs how to play, those two were so happy and iv been constantly using the set ever since
The reaper one is totally true. My friend and I were on an unpainted sloop once, a reaper galleon flying emissary but also alliance went past us, ran into a rock and sunk.
I was always curious if you were ever gonna talk about your “copywrite infringement” bit again. Man what a time to be alive where blasting “He’s a Pirate” actually makes sense and is very fitting.
The Merchant Ambassador is my go-to set (especially now that it's complete) or mixed in with the Merchant sails/hull/wheel/capstan and sea dog cannons (easy aiming with those). I never shoot first. I literally never attack first. But, if you attack my ship, the night is over at that point. We'll have a running naval battle on the seas until one or both finally have to call it a night hours later. I will run you by forts if I'm outnumbered and outmatched. I will firebomb your ship a hundred times over. I'll keg as many times as needed, and once the opportune moment arises I'll double back to chainshot and circle you until sunk (normally once you're on fire and at least one or two crew members are on the ferry). The exception to my never attack first rule is Reapers. They get sunk any chance I get.
I'm... surprised. My mates got me into sea of thieves 2 weeks ago and we've been playing on and off together. The one amongst us who's played the most started us off with a tall tale. He uses the wild rose set. I got it all myself since I thought it was pretty good good looking. Difference is I rock the Spanish Inquisition look and do whatever I fancy lol
i remember getting chased by a merchant galleon as a 2 man brig (third guy had to go) for like 40 minutes straight, they were running the full merchant set, emissary and all and were ruthlessly persuing us until they got distracted when we sailed them into a world event lol, i guess we can't interfere with their trade routes if they kill us xd

Me and my brother in our sloop being paranoid and watching a far away sloop who was approaching thieves haven, only for it to get instantly fucking folded by a ghost galleon just sitting in the middle which slowly emerged from inside the island to consume its prey will always be the most terrifying and cinematically cool moment in sea of thieves ever. This was back in like 2018 or so, and the ‘Athena 10’ ships as we called them were THE thing to fear
Awesome video! Just wanted to say even thought you funny post often, you are very active in the sea of thieves community, I see you on Reddit all the time, and am always happy to hear what you have to say
I just recently picked up this game, and I’ve been looking up tons of stuff about it to get good. One of the first things I did when I got the money was get the Hunter stuff, since I think it looks really cool and fits my irl vibe. I also mostly solo sloop. … …I think I am about to become a monster…
One I'd like to add. Triumphant Sea Dog ship set. This set is mainly used by TDMers who step out into adventure once every major update. They're good at pirate vs pirate combat but bad at everything else. Also if they manage to kill you once, they will bucket you like there is no tommorow.
A noob reaper 3 brigatine hard anchored and vollied our defensless fishing sloop to pieces while we were fishing at mermaids hideaway. After pistol/snipe two tapping the crew comming after us on the island and complaining about us being " f-ing sweat lords." we politly told them that if they knew better they would have left the fishing boat alone and now, theyre going to get sweated on. 10min later we dumbster them with default supplies in our sloop and then went back to fishing while collecting their salty reaper tears about fishingboats. Moral of the story: experienced players would have checked. Noobs, learn the hard way.
I use the full Castaway Bilge Rat set lmao, and the full clothes set except for the shirt because funny bare chested pirate, I guess I'm just a sea hobo at heart. If I was to make a stereotype for myself and my mates playing Sea of Thieves, here's what I reckon it would be. "If you see this guy, you can be absolutely sure he already sees you and he's thinking about how to react. These ships are usually sloops or brigs, and they're always paranoid about being attacked out of nowhere, and so they always have someone standing guard. If they're a Gold Hoarder or Order emissary, they'll probably run away from you on sight, but if they're a Reaper emissary, they'll charge you on sight and probably try and keg you. It doesn't usually work out very well for them, but you can be damn sure they'll try again if they see you again."
4:47 Alright let me add something to that I mostly smile when im on PC and if your on PC expect little 7 year olds who are new to the game and will also beg you not to sink them I experienced most players of the xbox ship set to beg you not to take there loot or be toxic over the mic.
Banger video as usual, additional stereotype: Full DA ship/clothing set is a pretty good sign that the opponent will be mediocre at fighting but will whip out every slur they can when you prove it to them in combat. Those also have some of reaper in them, meaning when their shit gets on fire or they have quite literally anything to lose they'll make a run for it
Me and my homies tend to go all black, shark hunter ship livery, pure black sails, turn all light sources off and become one with the murky void of the ocean… We also Viking burial at the end of every session! Always open to Alliance! If you see CharredRose666 on your travels, it’s me and i hope we have MANY travels together!
My friends and I related to the merchant stereotype, sometimes we dress in full merchant attire, rock the merchant ship and emissary. And we hunt any ship we can get our hands on. We’re basically doing what reapers can’t, pvp
The GH one is almost spot on, I am decent to good at fighting but I do also never have loot because I often do not hold onto it till grade 5 when Im solo slooping
The Sea Hobo is extremely accurate. Only one I’ve seen was a gally that sunk our 2 gally alliance 4 times each like it was nothin and we ain’t no slouch
I joined a captained gal in a pub and they had the wild rose set. Stereotype matched near perfect. I only kept lookout cuz the rest of the crew was already in the middle of the Heart of Fire tale. Also ouch on the Reaper one, I always try to see if they have treasure first cuz im not an asshole but i wouldn't exactly call that loser behavior. I mostly only do reaper for real whenever I'm grinding money tho. Other than that I normally do a Forsaken ashes set cuz I like the industrial look.
Ashen Dragon is me in terms of skill (or rather lack thereof), opinion of powderkegs and brig, and wanting to obliterate everything that gets within gun range. Hey, it's a pirate game. I might not be out for blood, but that doesn't mean that the other guy isn't!
As a representative, and member of the Parrot community, I just have to say that I'm stumped on how you got that so perfectly. Me and my friends just get drunk, play music, and dance around!!! Sure, we play a tall tale here and there, but we have fun in the process. Also, we would like to thank you for calling us cool guys. Thank you for your time. :D
I was doing Merchant stuff with my Merchant Inaugural Sails earlier in the day. I was sailing over to help a Reaper Emissary with the Burning Blade, but they sunk it by the time I got there. I was going to give them supplies since I had an abundance, but they just threw the Sword of Souls in the water. I decided to chase after them because I wanted to give it back to them, but one of them decided they would keg me and anchor me. I almost sank but managed to kill the player on my ship and repair, then just decided they're probably new and sailed off. They chased me, and I decided to sell the sword at an outpost, which caused them to go away.
As a person who was part of a merchant emissary squad, I can confirm the stuff about them. We would just be delivering stuff and we always found a frickin sloop at every island we had to stop at. Luckily they weren’t very good and we sunk them with no issue, but yeah, I can confirm the bloodthirsty monster stuff
100% agree with the merchants Me and my crew used to sail Reaper and we did alright, then we started representing the Merchants and all of a sudden we became gods, I'm pretty sure our best run was 16-1 K/D after many hours and the only reason our ship sank is because at the end of every session we burn and name the ship especially one with such good track record. I believe that ship was HMS Swiss cheese due to the extensive amount of holes.

100% weird comment or whatever since im tired and i have to be up in 3 hours so i am saving this for morning but based off of channel updates it seemed super stressful to produce and i am so excited to watch this because you spent a lot of time on it and i know it is going to be great :) seeing it uploaded made my night
Tbh I'm not happy with this one but it's the best I can do. My mic doesn't seem fixable. No amount of additional waiting would've made the video any better. If y'all like it, that's all that matters.
i really enjoyed it dude this was awesome AND it's made me want to play sea of thieves again, somehow (feat i previously thought impossible)! sucks about your mic though (i also have a shitty one that hates me), is it in every program or just what you use to record ? also, what kind of mic is it ? i have a few techier friends and had to fight with a ten year old pc every day for years so i have Some experience with digging up solutions
@@pilot7823 It's a Razer kraken, I use OBS to record. Can't find any other good recording software (X-Split sucks, fraps adds watermarks). I don't know if it's OBS or not, since my friends claim I sound way better ingame than in recordings, yet it changed the same day as an update, so.
that killer instinct one is shockingly true, I fought a gally with those damn sails for like an hour with me mate and after I finally boarded them and got all 4 they sunk
Me and my friends use the parrot kit for our ship. You described parrot crews really acuratlly
FINALLY, someone recognizes this as well
I will never not chase down and try to kill any reaper who doesn't go after me.
100% agreed. Its entirely Rare's fault for making them the most profitable pve faction in the game.
As someone who is new to SoT, I use the hunter hull livery and plain black sails. I try to do my quests without being noticed but that doesn't always work out. Haha! I just subbed to your channel. Keep up the great content!
Hey! Me too. I don't have a reason for choosing them, I just think they're neat. :)
Saaame
At night turn off all lanterns, it means you are less likely to be noticed
Addition: the shrouded ghost set, people who have this never actually killed a shrouded or probably even seen one. These guys only use the sword and sniper. They think there tough just because they spent 5-10 dollars on a
Ship set. Advice: don’t use the shrouded set until you actually killed the shrouded and have the title that proves it.
I bought it when I was new cuz I thought it increased the chance. I just reached 1k hours and refuse to use it until I kill a shrouded
You mean I shouldn't use a ship set that I like because I didnt kill some dumb rng shark? Yeah sure
i got the ship set, outfit and title since i killed it while teaching some noobs how to play, those two were so happy and iv been constantly using the set ever since
Are people who earned the sails and hull for free during the event allowed?
@@EverlastingIvy seeing as it’s earned I’d say so
The amount of times ive seen shark hunters replicate The Video is astounding… and each time they succeed.
ngl, this is pretty much spot on.
Thanks for the killer whale, I am not one but they deserve respect for there grind and they deserve better
The reaper one is totally true. My friend and I were on an unpainted sloop once, a reaper galleon flying emissary but also alliance went past us, ran into a rock and sunk.
I know these are supposed to be a joke but they are surprisingly accurate and actually helps me predict the approaching ship a lot.
Who said they're jokes? These are my honest experiences.
Stellar and worth the wait, as always
5:47 this is too accurate. This is exactly what I do except I don’t server hop and usually end up getting bullied by the person I charged lmao
I used to run the hunter set and he described me form a year back perfectly.
Ik I am late but Jesus that gold hoarder one was spot on
I was always curious if you were ever gonna talk about your “copywrite infringement” bit again.
NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION
i remember getting chased by a merchant galleon as a 2 man brig (third guy had to go) for like 40 minutes straight, they were running the full merchant set, emissary and all and were ruthlessly persuing us until they got distracted when we sailed them into a world event lol, i guess we can't interfere with their trade routes if they kill us xd
A shame they nerfed trade routes into oblivion. They used to be great money.
As a Nightshine Parrot user, yes, I am a fort vulture.
Good for you go touch grass let me know what it tastes like
Shark Hunter/Hunter; "youll never see these do a Fort alone but that one sloop in a 4 ship alliance is usually them" me... that's me, nail on the head.
It's too late, Randy-Bo-Bandy's grease runs deep, once he touches something there is no getting it out, wonder if that is why Duke went all rotten, grease was too strong
The grease cursed graymarrow
Full Bone Crusher ship and outfit is my favorite to run, love the aesthetic
6:18 you know unless something unexpected happens in the next few weeks, this stereotype is gonna apply to the party boat set
Nah, in my experience, fireworks ships are always hostile galleons.
@@Bacxaber that is HELLA ironic
@@Bacxaber there was one time I confused the fuck out of a buddy by loading a fire work into his cannon right after he fired (we were fighting skellies on an island so no harm no foul and such) he had no clue what was going on while was just laughing my ass off
5:57
Good thing I’m not such stereotype, I got his set cause I was a massive fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and got to meet Depp while I was in the hospital for cancer…
Gotta love those 480p bangers
2:30 idk about the stereotypes but the kraken ship sets look amazing, all three of them. Totally overlooked and underappreciated
8:48 oh thats why i sank so many times, my friend always picked this
“Every postal 2 has a postal 3”
I just found your channel and haven’t played sea of thieves for years but, I already love you holy shit
I have been waiting for this video for so long keep up the good work
I wouldn't call this good work.
Been waiting a while and so far I am NOT disappointed, great work.
Honestly, mic isn't bad at all. Good vid man, I enjoy seeing the hilarious shit you cook up.
The mic is atrocious, but thanks.
I got the mentality of a Shark hunter, the skins of a ghost, and the combat ability of a Morningstar.
Always an elite series
As a Devils roar guy the reason I go there is because like 80% of the time theres noone there meaning i can grind in peace.
As a parrot ship player, I have never been offended by something I 100% agree with
as a nightshine parrot i dont agree with what they described
it looks good but im more akin to the wild rose people in nature
I can not agree more
Me and my brother in our sloop being paranoid and watching a far away sloop who was approaching thieves haven, only for it to get instantly fucking folded by a ghost galleon just sitting in the middle which slowly emerged from inside the island to consume its prey will always be the most terrifying and cinematically cool moment in sea of thieves ever. This was back in like 2018 or so, and the ‘Athena 10’ ships as we called them were THE thing to fear
6:45 thank you, its annoying to be a fisher these days
You described me so perfectly with Wild Rose I can’t believe it
Awesome video! Just wanted to say even thought you funny post often, you are very active in the sea of thieves community, I see you on Reddit all the time, and am always happy to hear what you have to say
Cliff the story guy is really the only one honoring the point of being a reaper’s bones emmisary and everyone else is a runner’s bones emmisary lol
I fight people as a reaper too. I fight anyone regardless, actually. I love PvP.
never go above 480p
Me as merchant:
I can already feel like I am turning into what exactly you just said
I just recently picked up this game, and I’ve been looking up tons of stuff about it to get good.
One of the first things I did when I got the money was get the Hunter stuff, since I think it looks really cool and fits my irl vibe.
I also mostly solo sloop.
…
…I think I am about to become a monster…
You did the same thing I did.. Looked up a bunch of stuff about the game early on. Smart move, I respect that
One I'd like to add.
After pistol/snipe two tapping the crew comming after us on the island and complaining about us being " f-ing sweat lords."
we politly told them that if they knew better they would have left the fishing boat alone and now, theyre going to get sweated on.
10min later we dumbster them with default supplies in our sloop and then went back to fishing while collecting their salty reaper tears about fishingboats.
Moral of the story: experienced players would have checked. Noobs, learn the hard way.
Barely sny comments about how funny the mercenary description
I thought it was pretty funny. But everyone just keeps going "bad joke, betty white died" as if she wasn't a 99 year old when I wrote the joke.
Another banging vid lad.
Though I can't agree, cheers lad.
Finally.. after all this time..
Bro I'm with the gold hoarders and you perfectly explained my pirate
4:47 Alright let me add something to that I mostly smile when im on PC and if your on PC expect little 7 year olds who are new to the game and will also beg you not to sink them I experienced most players of the xbox ship set to beg you not to take there loot or be toxic over the mic.
Banger video as usual, additional stereotype: Full DA ship/clothing set is a pretty good sign that the opponent will be mediocre at fighting but will whip out every slur they can when you prove it to them in combat. Those also have some of reaper in them, meaning when their shit gets on fire or they have quite literally anything to lose they'll make a run for it
Me and my homies tend to go all black, shark hunter ship livery, pure black sails, turn all
light sources off and become one with the murky void of the ocean…
We also Viking burial at the end of every session!
Always open to Alliance! If you see CharredRose666 on your travels, it’s me and i hope we have MANY travels together!
I like it
"no one owns the Merc ship set"
Me a merc: I have the se- wait do I?
4:57 so he’s basically saying:Fuck you because you won’t/can’t buy a 2000$pc
Gaming PC: $1000
Modern console: $700
Not an excuse. Stop holding gaming back.
"THE BLUE GUNS!" gets me every time.
E?

@@Bacxaber good
My friends and I related to the merchant stereotype, sometimes we dress in full merchant attire, rock the merchant ship and emissary. And we hunt any ship we can get our hands on. We’re basically doing what reapers can’t, pvp
The GH one is almost spot on, I am decent to good at fighting but I do also never have loot because I often do not hold onto it till grade 5 when Im solo slooping
I waited 69 years for this, and I am not disappointed. Great Video
Bacxaber: *Says a bunch of stuff about the Cutthroat set*
Me: Dude, I just like Killer Instinct.
Unpainted Sloop for the win! My father and I love doing arenas, which has helped me so much in PvP
The Olympic sprinters that happen to be reapers give us a bad name and I happily hunt them down for hours
Good stuff.
“Violence is the question and the answer is yes”
-Bacxaber
I didn't come up with it, but I do agree with it.
Yes.
Meanwhile I'm over here rocking the gliterbeard sails
100% agree with the merchants
Me and my crew used to sail Reaper and we did alright, then we started representing the Merchants and all of a sudden we became gods, I'm pretty sure our best run was 16-1 K/D after many hours and the only reason our ship sank is because at the end of every session we burn and name the ship especially one with such good track record.
I believe that ship was HMS Swiss cheese due to the extensive amount of holes.
Merchant - literally me. Every goddam word
6:48 The Killer Whale is my main go to. I am one level away from level 50. I won’t attack unless attack and I’ll keep coming back for more.
i can proudly say i use Ashen Dragon set because it's gorgeous, not to scare people (not like i can be threatening in any way in a solo sloop)
