Great to see you posting again Jereme. Inflation has hit us hard in Ireland too despite our different governments, covid, the war in Ukraine and rising energy costs all impacted us. I work a job that I love, caring for others so my income is naturally low unfortunately but it’s in education and so I have a great work life balance and have time with my family too. I use YNAB to keep me on track and have found it so helpful that I’ve got rid of my credit card because I can manage without it comfortably. I think a key thing is to be content with what you have, you don’t have to impress anyone else with your purchases and take very good care of what you do own, if you do reduce, reuse and recycle you are also minding our planet too, which I’m sure God appreciates. I knew you had one kid so huge congratulations on having more than one now which you mentioned in your comments. My best wishes to Grace too. Hello Ireland! Wife and I have always wanted to check your part of the world out - especially the islands out there. Absolutely, contentment really is key part to a satisfying life. It shifts focus from what we lack to appreciating what we already have, which can significantly impact our financial and personal well-being. It’s great to hear that resonates with you! You seemed to find peace during these economic uncertainty. God bless!

@@janelleg597 Hey Janelle, I hear you, and I totally get where you’re coming from. Budgets can be helpful as guardrails, and I’m not saying they’re worthless for everyone. The point I’m making in the video is that, during times of high inflation and volatile pricing, relying solely on cutting back or budgeting often feels like it falls short for many people. For me, I’ve found that instead of focusing on constantly cutting back, I’ve shifted my energy toward growing income and investing . After becoming mortgage-free three times, I realized that creating financial margin and increasing cash flow has a much greater impact than just tightening the belt or living on a zero based budget. At the heart of it all, I believe it’s about stewardship-managing what God has given us wisely, whether that means budgeting, investing, or creating margin. I’d love to hear more about how you’ve used budgeting as a tool and how it’s worked for you. Let’s keep the conversation going!
Good steward managing His resources. Not only $$$ including other thing such as recycling, food, purchases, subscription, health, & on. Look for how can we be blessing to others, live with the purpose. Be greatful for what we have. ❤

I’m over it! Going to grad school and worked full time, including overnight shifts, double shifts, weekends shifts. You name it. I got taxed almost 20k. Now I’m left feeling all sorts of emotions . Work, school, and everything else sucked the life out of me. I feel so much resentment because all that money that I worked hard for was taxed. Now I have 700 dollars to my name and can no longer work. literally. My mental health is so bad that even my job felt painful going to. We all deserve better.
Im sorry Jazz. That sounds rough. Grace and I have felt the same way. I remember living on the west coast, we paid so much in income taxes plus federal taxes, and health insurance, etc. The juice was not worth the squeeze so that's why we realized we had to think differently about money and life - even if it went against the status quo.
I bought a shack on an acre in a rural area. All paid for and live on able. It needs a few things, but that’s how I am dealing with exiting from Babylon. Hopefully in about two or three years I’ll be able to live mostly off my land. Right now I’ve got some debt and I need to keep paying for vehicle expenses, phone & trash service… I’ve got solar and will be adding rain water collection… but if it gets to the point where I can’t buy or sell, I can live on my land and all I need to do is pay the annual property tax. And hopefully my solar equipment and other tools that may need replacement or repair, will be able to be acquired. I do plan to purchase more back up. Worst case scenario is I’ve got about 45 years that I may still be living… I’m 55, so that’s aiming high. Hopefully, they’ll let me pay my annual property taxes if it gets to the point of not being able to buy or sell. And during this time, my goal is to get as many people as possible, ready and able to beef up food production in my area and we have a community system in place for trading and providing sustenance for those in need. The moral of the story is to live as close as possible to NEED as LITTLE amount of money as possible and to be able to live without utility bills. Now that I’ve been living off grid, I love it! It’s so much better than grid living. Once you are set up for it. But, it’s easier to set up an off grid situation than an on grid situation.
Awesome, I would love to do the same. I already use a wood stove (it’s nice and toasty in here right now) I have a resource for fire wood that we work for. I can and freeze from my garden but need better buildings for animals. Hoping to move in the spring and work towards off grid 😊
A budget is nothing more then a plan. A bad budget is still a budget, a good budget is still a budget. Track you spending for 3 months and then decide how to adjust. Inflation has nothing to do with a budget working or not. Not being honest with yourself on how much you plan on spending is the problem.
Good point that I agree with. Ive discovered that most people budget without knowing who they are or where they’re headed. That’s why I believe starting with the destination in mind critical- where are you going, what do you value, and why? For me, clarity about my vision changed everything. Once I understood where I wanted to go and the tools available to get me there, managing money became simple. It wasn’t about endless cutbacks-it was about using money as a tool to create margin and build a life aligned with my purpose. Thanks for adding to the conversation!
No, not poor…..my goal is to have enough money so I can comfortably help others. And I do think that people should use both budgeting and frugality to stretch their money as far as they can in these difficult time! Pray that God gives you the knowledge to make it during these bad times.
I struggle with this question too, but the more I read the word, the more I see that the problem is not money. It’s putting money first. We should put God first in our life. Then love and serve people. When you serve others, God will reward you.
I appreciate this so much. I have a request, we were devastated with 3 huge hurricanes and are starting minus 10 grand now. That's on top of our debt and paying off and everything. Our home and storage were flooded twice, including my car. We lost electric heaters, equipment like that for anything but super hot weather, large new area rugs, for winter, and all my clothes and shoes, except for the 115 heat index we had during this devastating weather. Our dog had to be put down, which was another expense that was completely unexpected. We have a mobile home and had to pay for new ductwork twice, new inspections, new repairs etc. FEMA money ran out quickly and I'm on SSI. Since our worst damage was after Milton, all of us received no help from FEMA or Florida. Can you do a video on starting at a point like this? I refuse to total out my car and we aren't able to get ourselves to physically work through everything yet. Do you have any advice? TY
Stop focusing on everything you have lost. It’s all gone, get it out of your mind. Only think of the future, and focus all your efforts on building that. Lean on each other, family, community, but dig in deep to your own personal motivation to make it happen. Understand that God is infinite, and the possibilities and opportunities are therefore infinite. Pray every day. He will guide you.
Hi new subscriber here from the UK. Spot on my friend, keep God first and foremost. He will lead you, be patient, don't try to rush Him. May God's blessings be on you and your family 🙏🙏❤️
I definitely believe that God wants us to be successful as work is in our DNA. We were designed to be working. Once we can partner with God and become successful, the goal shouldn’t be to amass a ton of wealth so that one has financial freedom and this abundance of free time. Jesus didn’t preach that free time is our ultimate goal in life. He preached about simplicity yes, but taking care of our families and kingdom work is priority 1. He also preached about generosity not being able to retire and reach “financial freedom” in our 40s. Work and earn a great income and decide what is enough to live on. Then give away the rest. Be outrageously generous. Don’t hold onto it and let money ruin Gods plan for our lives in the pursuit of being able to retire early.
There is nothing wrong with retiring from the workforce but remember that retirement is a relatively new concept in humanity. Most retire and sit around and do nothing or travel. That isn’t kingdom work. Volunteer in your community, your church or help out your neighbors. There is always kingdom work to be had and that’s where we become more like Christ.
@@Noah_527 in biblical times in Israel the working day because of the light was 12 hours max, but we know from Ruth etc, there was a long break at midday , also no one worked on the Sabbath, if you add up the feasts and the visits to jerusalem etc it equates to an minimum of 3-4 weeks vacation per year. week at passover another for the feast of weeks, day of atonement first fruits, etc etc Also children were generally with their parents, most worked very close to home so would be home for both lunch and dinner, people worked seasonally so longer hours at harvest and sowing times an shorter at other times. it was most definitely not a 24/7 society. people did not retire as such but most folks were in family businesses so the very old and young would not really be working as such. It just assumes parents have plenty of time to teach their children as they walked and talked with them
Not to mention, one of the most effective ways to love our neighbors and do what God has called us to do is being selfless with our time - investing that time to pour into others, volunteer, etc. Time is our most precious asset and by retiring early/not being bound to a job in order to provide for your family financially, you now have significantly more time to serve others and minister in some capacity. I think it’s all how you look at it and where the person’s heart posture is at like Jereme had said.
Your true wealth is your family esp your children and the legacy you leave them. Raising them to become compassionate and God honoring individuals. We also homeschool and we made daily sacrifices to do so. It's worth it, we are able to spend so much time with them. Our goal is to love them and raise them to be well rounded individuals. Thank you for your video it was inspiring. God bless.
I love seeing things like this because every family is different. As long as we use biblical disciplines and the scriptures we will see the fruit of it all.
How do you tithe if you just don't have it financially? Should you get rid of debt than tithe? We have been helping by sharing food with others from our pantry that we go too. I also have a special needs husband whom has an issue of understanding no spending and impulsive buys when we need to pay our mortgage or car payment.
Remember Christ has set us free from the law & if you put urself under it ur under a curse. You are completely free to do as you please but obviously should walk after the spirit. If you do give make sure it's to a ministry that preaches the true gospel that saves or else ur just helping the enemy ✌️✝️
What you should/could pursue is to drop all idols and icons. Be them money, security, a national flag, a diet, a skin colour etc. The kingdom is WITHIN you. You are the castle. Forget about all the rest, and it will be added to you.
We are just focusing on simple living - which seems to result in stepping away from the things the world values and pushes at us. There is so much peace in just shutting off the noise of this world trying to tell us what is important. We are the opposite of wealthy, but our bills are paid and we sleep soundly at night. We are not fashionable, but we have weather appropriate clothing in good repair. The Bible tells us that the Lord will provide for our needs, it says the man who works his land will have food to eat, and it says to seek first the kingdom of God, and all the rest will be added to us. We are just passing through this world - we are not a part of it anyway.

ive only boughten needs and not wants for close to a year now. no electronics as they fail. if im not gonna have enough one month then what i do have i spend it on what i want to forget that im gonna struggle that month for atleast a day since there's gonna be pain regardless. ive cut unnecessary expenses and maximized my income. i'm happier now though that i don't care about money as much as i used to for me dealing with whatever happens the best you can is better than fighting to not let something happen. im chasing peace not money.
Money is a tool that I have been blessed with that I can be a blessing to others..the Lord knows my heart...what I have given away to this world has been given back to me...yes goods and services are more expensive...but I don't forget about others..because everyday I am giving the opportunity to be a blessing to others...even in a small gesture of saying hello...a smile..buying someone a cup of coffee...buying someone something to eat...giving a dollar/spare change...food/clothes/toys to your local church...I consider myself blessed even in these hard times and help make this world a better place by giving back in small gestures of kindness! 🙏🙏🙏
"the love of money is the root of all evil" which we can clearly see from the way the economy in California has been handled, the fact that those in charge were busy lining there pockets cutting back OUR resources, you see how absolutely wicked they are for loving the money that isn't even there's. Only the love of money could victimize so many people in one single incident. Pray for LA , some of the victims are Gods people! Remember that!
If they are truly God's people, they will emerge from their trials with far more than they lost, much like the story of Job. As it is written, all things were written beforehand for our learning and understanding. But let me tell you, there are many who believe themselves to be Christians but are not. I tell you, California is burning for her sins. Let those who have ears to hear, hear!
Things that move the needle. But not Starbucks? At like $5 a cup (more if it’s a local shop) and everyday? If that’s not moving the needle, I don’t know what is 🤣
I have some to the conclusion that inflation is the same as unjust scales. If the prices change, but usually go up over the years, the money isn’t a store of value and we have gone old school hard assets. More chickens, less eating out. Repurposed goods, rarely buy new. Getting out of debt is the goal for now- minus the mortgages.
Don't love money, but do love OPTIONS. Options in life, for your life; what you want to do. Options cost money. So earn a LOT of money. Its not a bad thing to do, nor is it taboo, nor is it anti-Biblical.
3:41 is wrongly referenced. 1 Timothy 6:10 is... For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
money is a fraud....today it buys a a loaf of bread tommorow you need 10 times to buy a loaf of bread.....why?....what changed?.....answer this and you will understand the scam!
Money is a tool. I have year of wages so I don't depend on government or worry I got pay raises I didn't go buy new truck or bigger house 95% of Americans would have vacationed upgraded lifestyle instead of preparing for what may come and I'm not worried about a thing. My happiness is important. Now I quiet jobs took risk to have a better life and you should too. Small foxes should be focused on no coffees. You can't blame anyone but yourself. You must manage your household stop upgrading. Live within your means.
The coffee shop is part of the community. If nobody supports it it disappears and that doesn't do anyone much good. It says in the Bible to 'do your own business and have no lack'. The Lord wouldn't command something and then not show us how to go about it. God's got it and God will not fail.
It most certainly in..the rates just in increases of insurance of all kinds is enough for people to have to chose between paying utilities or putting food on the table.
I think crypto is pumped and dumped by the wealthy as a way to insider trade. They can increase their wealthy by 33%-100% in a short period of time, sell at the peak, and leave the rest to holding the bag.
I’m a Christian traveling for work all over the country, trying to rack up cash so I can buy a house. I want to travel all year the entire 2025. I’m single, and have no kids. Is it bad to pursue this, if I plan to have a family in the future and don’t want to worry about high a high mortgage rate (before I’m 30 yrs old)?
Nothing wrong with that unless the cares of this life chokes your relationship and duty towards your neighbour. Also, keeping the seventh day Sabbath is part of the commandments.
Price Gouging is much more of an issue, not inflation. Sure, I understand the problem with inflation, but I've done the math, and it doesn't add up. Companies charge what they charge cause they want to, and that's it.
FOLK'S~ 100 YEAR'S AGO🤔 WITH A WORKER'S WAGE OF ~ 1 YEAR👍THAT SALARY COULD'VE BUY A NICE HOUSE 🏠 EQUIVALENT TO ~ 300K HOUSE TODAY🥶,...WHO IS MAKING TODAY 300K? and WITH HONEST WORKING🤔? Little money makes big money be it spent or saved. Time is more valuable than money. I think everyone needs a budget, otherwise you can dig yourself into a unknowingly hole and have to fire the time you have machine to go make money to backfill the hole you made.
Yeah but tell people you are completely debt free and your mortgage paid off. If a person has debt and they are living paycheck to paycheck; maybe monitoring their accounts more than once a month is necessary. Same goes for buying daily treats. Perhaps that’s a luxury 🧐
Today I can budget my way out of inflation by not buying anything...have enough parts and supplies to keep everything going in my house and vehicles for the next 10 years, (food and utilities are the rough spots)...after 10 to 20 years that inflation will catch up with me when i need to start buying again.
Same here but I still purchase things when they are on sale and that’s how I beat inflation ( talking about food). I buy on sale, grow in my garden and can it ( making it shelf staple for years). I’ve saved so much money by doing this and I’m able to help others when they need it
You can GIVE your way out! Gods blesses a cheerful giver. God does care if you are poor. That is not His plan for His children. Do you want your children to have more than enough! Tithe, give and believe God for increase. Keep your words inline with God’s Word. I have given my way out of destitution.
I Think God expects us to put others first, Example if you see someone in need and you can help. That shows Godliness, Our rewards are on the other side. When we show the love of God that makes us Rich because he's guiding our lives

For me, clarity about my vision changed everything. Once I understood where I wanted to go and the tools available to get me there, managing money became simple. It wasn’t about endless cutbacks-it was about using money as a tool to create margin and build a life aligned with my purpose.
Thanks for adding to the conversation!
Hey Jeremy what a wonderful answer to the important question ☺️✨
Great commentary on money as a tool 🙏🏽😊
No, not poor…..my goal is to have enough money so I can comfortably help others. And I do think that people should use both budgeting and frugality to stretch their money as far as they can in these difficult time! Pray that God gives you the knowledge to make it during these bad times.
I struggle with this question too, but the more I read the word, the more I see that the problem is not money. It’s putting money first. We should put God first in our life. Then love and serve people. When you serve others, God will reward you.

Thank you!🥰
This was very convicting to me as a Christian. Thanks brother.
TY
You need to sell and leave Florida..!!
I like this conversation. I definitely do not believe in cutting anything out. I feel the need to do something so I don’t have to. 😊
God bless.
Thank you 🎉 Greetings from Europe Union ☕️

I love this question aswell, thanks for answering it .I really struggling between this two.money stresses me out weather I have Alot or less lol😂😂😂

Okay! Drop the camera setup, Jereme-very clean visuals. :)

If that’s not moving the needle, I don’t know what is 🤣
If you save in Bitcoin over time inflation doesn't exist. That's how you beat the money printer.
Yeah even truck stop gas stations are taxing
God changes the desires of your heart. Inflation never heard of it. My daughter calls me a minimalist.
He does say be the giver and not the borrower.
Even millionaires have a budget
I think Jesus was poor and would appreciate a poor person over a rich person
It’s difficult if you have a child to support, otherwise I wouldn’t care
I have some to the conclusion that inflation is the same as unjust scales. If the prices change, but usually go up over the years, the money isn’t a store of value and we have gone old school hard assets. More chickens, less eating out. Repurposed goods, rarely buy new. Getting out of debt is the goal for now- minus the mortgages.
Don't love money, but do love OPTIONS. Options in life, for your life; what you want to do. Options cost money. So earn a LOT of money. Its not a bad thing to do, nor is it taboo, nor is it anti-Biblical.
100%
3:41 is wrongly referenced. 1 Timothy 6:10 is... For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
You are absolutely right , my bad - I meant 1 Timothy 5:8
money is a fraud....today it buys a a loaf of bread tommorow you need 10 times to buy a loaf of bread.....why?....what changed?.....answer this and you will understand the scam!
“End times” God with us all always no matter what happens
(Last four years have been rough for us all) ❤️🤘✝️🇺🇸
It started in 2019
Money is a tool.
Ooh shoot where in Michigan
If you are not currently buying a car or a house.
Inflation isn’t that big of a problem
It most certainly in..the rates just in increases of insurance of all kinds is enough for people to have to chose between paying utilities or putting food on the table.
All we can do is get to a place of safety. GOD, GOLD, SILVER, BITCOIN.
@@patrickhamilton5829boss wants us to work 7 days a week
Absolutely not as long as you're walking by the Spirit & not ur own carnal mind...
Price Gouging is much more of an issue, not inflation. Sure, I understand the problem with inflation, but I've done the math, and it doesn't add up. Companies charge what they charge cause they want to, and that's it.
I think having a budget has nothing to do with chasing money. You have to have money to live. We need to be wise about it.

I’ve saved so much money by doing this and I’m able to help others when they need it
Why aren't you recording from your car running the heater?
We are all living on credi cards. Just to survive
$6-10 a day for a starbucks.. double that if a couple is going.. doesn't move the needle?
Bad advice it absolutely does move the needle.

You can GIVE your way out! Gods blesses a cheerful giver. God does care if you are poor. That is not His plan for His children. Do you want your children to have more than enough! Tithe, give and believe God for increase. Keep your words inline with God’s Word. I have given my way out of destitution.
America is going to hell no matter what! 😮😮😮
I Think God expects us to put others first, Example if you see someone in need and you can help. That shows Godliness, Our rewards are on the other side. When we show the love of God that makes us Rich because he's guiding our lives
Yup take care of immediate needs and family first then others.
Man made. Real resources used to be bartered. Not possible to print fake resources in the past. Money can be fun, but our loyalty is with our Creater.
People really get scared seeing the news when trying to make more money? Interesting.
Yup lots of people deal with that and make decisions based on fear.
