this process is probably the best for someone who's never painted/a beginner BUT i will say the first demo isn't going to be as successful because the solid areas of paint on there were already dry. for ombre to work you have to blend. and for blending to work, all paint that's being blended must be wet. So it's better to do it the way the live demo was done where it's done quickly while everything is wet. you can go back later with edits if necessary. you can work in smaller sections if necessary, but make sure the paint is wet when you go to blend it

I used 1 can of paint for initial 1st color at bottom.
2nd color i mixed equal amounts of initial color and white.
3rd color i mixed equal amount of 2nd color and white
4th color i mixed equal amounts of 3rd color and white.
By doing this the color became lighter and lighter.
It was more cost effective than buying 4 shades of paint

I'd like to do a whole room like this. But my concern and question is how do you keep the paint from drying when you have a large wall and room to do? Seems like it needs to be wet to blind.

Legend of the strings if you thin the paint with water it will take longer to dry. Or you can use extender.

How do you get the different colours float with each other? I did it and one can see the lines

I seperated my wall in 4 equal parts by using a pencil. I had 4 sections that wete 22 & 1/2 inches wide.
My next step was to mark with pencil a 2 inch line above and below my initial lines
This basically leaves a 4 inch gap between colors.
After my initial 4 areas were painted i filled in above and below my initial lines with the corresponding color for those areas and blended while my paints were still wet. 😊

It look easy but i need it not to blend so much i like when the colors blend but pop at the same time.

for that it's better to put down the first color, then the second and with the same brush drag and blend the color down into the first. so you're blending with the leftover paint on the brush - rather than doing the step where you redip the brush in each color and paint inbetween them. just make sure both sections of paint are still wet when you blend them

Adam Cool tones are actually happy tones which is why so many hospitals use it for their interior wall colours. It’s a calming color honey.
