She just brought tears to my eyes. It’s not only her magnificent voice, her movements and emotions, I don’t have words. It’s amazing. She loves music. Can you imagine being so explosive and beautiful with something you just naturally have. She was born for this.
To many singers today want to dance, move around the stage and interact with the crowd. Mistake! It's a rare singer that can do that well..The lost art of standing there and delivering a powerful performance lives in Morgan and Haley. This chick can sing! She don't need flash!
I have been reluctant to listen to the PMJ and Morgan James version of Dream On just beause of what you said, ya hate to mess with a classic. My loss!!! What a great production. Kudos to Morgan James for the amazing vocals and also to Scott Bradley of PMJ for the arrangement. Both are simply magnificent. ✌Peace
Thank you for posting this gem...MJ has some set of pipes on her. She can sustain a note longer than most singers of today. Why this woman is not a household name out there is beyond me...She hit this song out of the park. Great reaction as always...Peace!
You may have heard of "Method Acting" where the actor aspires to complete emotional identification with a part by seeming to fully take on that character. Well, I'd describe what she does in this riveting performance as "Method Singing". Amazing and spine-tingling when you witness the emotional power of such artistry.
Morgan James, Haley Reinhart, Adele, Floor Jansen those voices are real talent, no fake only pure gold. Real voices telling us stories in so incredible way!
First, Postmoder Jukebox is incredible. I reccomend it highly. Second, Morgan James is a Julliard graduate in opera. You can see it in her breathing and control. But, she places her voice elsewhere and creates the wonderfully resonate "jazzy" sound. She is also an incredibly hard worker. She sees her entire body as her instrument and maintains it. She also practices everyday and continues to take lessons which most people stop doing when they "make it".
This is God like... the power in her voice is incredible.. I love Aerosmith and their original version but I'm sorry Steve and the boys, this one is superior.. Great reaction video.. thank you
Not sure if anyone noticed but check out the guy at 2:53 playing the cello like a guitar and then switches back. Ive never seen anyone play a cello like that before lol
That's known as frisson (pronounced free-sawn), a French term meaning “aesthetic chills,” and it feels like waves of pleasure running all over your skin. Some researchers have even dubbed it a “skin orgasm.” It happens a lot when listening to Morgan.
I keep coming back to this song time and time again. I always liked it and Morgan's version? The best of all and incredible to say the least. Thanks for the review. You're fun to watch.
When I first discovered Morgan James (PMJ's cover of All About That Base) I listened to her every day for two years - no exaggeration, every day. I love her voice that much.
music good not too loud ...we can hear her singing very nice voice wow very good voice best i heard so far ..wow just right for a quiet bar ,,, WOWOW---AWESOME BETTER THAN THE LATEST I SEEN ON HERE ...VERY GOOD REACTIONS I WOULD GO TO A BAR AND LISTEN TO HER
Loud has its place, and mostly that is far from me. Just like food so spicy you don't actually taste it, I prefer flavor and texture. I hope this continues into a trend away from too much all the time, toward appreciating subtlety and nuance.
Just discovered the Postmodern Jukebox myself in the last few days. Just amazing. They also do a Lady Gaga cover of "Bad Romance" that I like a lot. I love how they can take a classic tune and recast it in a retro style, often revealing more than the original artist. Steven Tyler did not clearly enunciate, as Morgan James proves.
That's call frisson (pronounced free-sawn), a French term meaning “aesthetic chills,” and it feels like waves of pleasure running all over your skin. Get used to it. It happens a lot when listening to Morgan.
Morgan is one of the most underrated singers in the world. God only knows why. Not only is she gorgeous to listen to, but she's also gorgeous to look at. Maybe it's because she usually sings more jazzy stuff, and that style isn't as popular as it used to be. Still, I can't figure it. Anyway, here's a link to her PMJ version of "Maps" ruclips.net/video/8gO_lxThc1M/видео.html Not only is she brilliant with it, but when she finally looks you in the eye, you'll swear something is going to melt.
For a true musical experience, check out Morgan James & Postmodern Jukebox "Sweet Child O Mine" live, The posting by Haleys Tusk is the best recording. You'll thank me.
imagination time: all in black and white James Bond, 007, just lost his first major fight. Hes left bloody and bruised in the pouring rain as the villain makes off and his lady friend goes with him. 007, struggles to his feet and this song starts to playing in the background as he limps into the darkness, gun in hand, presumably to the final confrontation with the villain.
I'm a little late to the party with Morgan James....it's sad...but Jesus Crist!!!!!!!!! A PROFOUND moment for me in music for me is Morgan James vocals. I put her up there OR ABOVE the likes of "Whitney", "Mararh", "Areatha"! I'm just in AWE!
Aerosmith never sounded so good..... beautiful jazz from the most beautiful singer.... this is what happens when a Julliard trained opera singer steps in the real world ....I LOVE her
It was me about Morgan , and juke box. Don't forget Robyn it was all her idea . The first singer on modern juke box. Go to the beginning, she pulled in the rest of the girls. She's been out for while but she's doing new ones
Yeah, her long run there was like 7 seconds. Who does she think she is? Well Morgan obviously, but she was pushing that long run like Haley Reinhart. The problem is that Haley holds that long note in Creep and even switches style for 11 seconds. That being said, she is still an amazing singer.
The first time I heard this cover I just couldn't get Steven Tyler's voice out of my head. It wasn't until I listened for the third time that I could truly appreciate Morgan's cover. Now I'm like, "Steve who??? Oh, isn't he that guy that covers Dream On?" JK of course, no disrespect to Steven.
@@Daffinil1 I've wondered about that as well. I saw once where someone said Tyler liked it but no source was sited and I've never been able to find anything to confirm it.
She just brought tears to my eyes. It’s not only her magnificent voice, her movements and emotions, I don’t have words. It’s amazing. She loves music. Can you imagine being so explosive and beautiful with something you just naturally have. She was born for this.
Morgan James is a goddess... and the arrangement they made for this classic iconic song is just incredible
Yes she is
It's like this is their song now, absolutely iconic performance and arrangement...
To many singers today want to dance, move around the stage and interact with the crowd. Mistake! It's a rare singer that can do that well..The lost art of standing there and delivering a powerful performance lives in Morgan and Haley. This chick can sing! She don't need flash!
The problem is the music industry has been trying to pass off dancers as singers.
The genius behind the arrangements of these covers is the man playing the Piano: Mr. Scott Bradlee
W aaa
Agree..😊
I've read that this lady is fully trained in Opera. This is where that power & clarity in her voice possibly comes from.
@Aryan Bianca - Yes, Morgan is a graduate of the world-renowned Julliard School, and has also appeared if several different Broadway productions.
✌Peace
Even the folks playing the instruments were just staring at her. Amazing...
Listen to everything she has done that you can find. Incredible vocals! She kills it all
There are many fabulous singers that perform with Postmodern Jukebox. Part of Scott’s genius is matching the singer to the song and arrangement.
Thank you for posting this gem...MJ has some set of pipes on her. She can sustain a note longer than most singers of today. Why this woman is not a household name out there is beyond me...She hit this song out of the park. Great reaction as always...Peace!
✌🏾🧔🏾✌🏾
PMJ, Morgan, Hailey, they prove the old saying that less is more
Yes Indeed🙏🏾
MJ did not give us "less" with that performance.
You may have heard of "Method Acting" where the actor aspires to complete emotional identification with a part by seeming to fully take on that character. Well, I'd describe what she does in this riveting performance as "Method Singing". Amazing and spine-tingling when you witness the emotional power of such artistry.
It’s probably unhealthy the number of times I listen to this. Am always enthralled. You are so right. Morgan’s voice is fabulous.
Morgan James, Haley Reinhart, Adele, Floor Jansen those
voices are real talent, no fake only pure gold. Real voices
telling us stories in so incredible way!
Definitely blown away. She pays so much respect to the original, and then makes it her own.
Jamel you KNOW This ARTIST! It doesn't get much better!!!
I love how Morgan can take any song and make it her own, any style of music. She totally recreated this song.
This woman is outstanding
This is God like... the power in her voice is incredible.. I love Aerosmith and their original version but I'm sorry Steve and the boys, this one is superior.. Great reaction video.. thank you
Not sure if anyone noticed but check out the guy at 2:53 playing the cello like a guitar and then switches back. Ive never seen anyone play a cello like that before lol
"Who does she think she is?" I love it
People are still trying to find out where that slim girl keeps those extra two lungs hidden.
lungs hell, she doesn't breathe.
Seriously
She made it a new classic.
Morgan can really one take one to Church with her powerful voice !!!
Jamel, the reaction is as good as Morgan James knocking this tune out of the park. My goodness..............."She Got Some Pipes"! W O W!
Isn't it amazing how someone's voice alone can make you feel some kind of way. Like how does sound make hairs on your arms stand up? Amazing
That's known as frisson (pronounced free-sawn), a French term meaning “aesthetic chills,” and it feels like waves of pleasure running all over your skin. Some researchers have even dubbed it a “skin orgasm.”
It happens a lot when listening to Morgan.
Imagine being the person who can do that to people! This brought tears to my eyes. It’s so amazing, all of it
What does one say? Humbling. Moving. Worthy. Bravissimo!
Damn. She just blew Steve Tyler's boat right out of the water!... and I'll bet he would agree. Cheers, Steve E
what a voice ….. just fantastic love it
👍🏾
React to Morgan James singing “take me to church” she puts in work on that song and you won’t be disappointed I promise.
Yes Amazing
I keep coming back to this song time and time again. I always liked it and Morgan's version? The best of all and incredible to say the least. Thanks for the review. You're fun to watch.

Beautiful voice 👏👏👏
Dang, getting to more of your reaction catalog (backlog for me, alas.) Thanks, another great reaction, and thumb is up!
Little girl from Boise, Idaho. That's fantastic

Little gal out of Boise, Idaho with a rare instrument! Oh, and she went to Julliard!
This is what singing is.
Hip-hopers and RAPPERS, go back home, lock the door and never come back.
God bless you Jamel_AKA_Jamal. May the good Lord take you away many, many, many years from now.
I wonder if he's ever heard it and what he thinks about it.
@@Daffinil1 I've wondered about that as well. I saw once where someone said Tyler liked it but no source was sited and I've never been able to find anything to confirm it.
Best reactions on RUclips!
