My new favorite pastime is watching black people react to Chris Stapleton. This was hilarious... Get your plasticware, plate, drive around and show up. LOL
PeachQtPi That,s true..the first one I watched was a white man who reviews guitar playing and that lead to more.. BUT I found white people grew up ( I did) with radio and did not know the colour of the artists .I am the wrong side of 76...
I’m white and 59 but when I was a teenager I listened to allot of black singers, EW&F, temptations, Marvin Gaye, etc. my brother walked by my room one night and said I swear I believe you have some black in you because you listen to allot of black musicians. 😂😂. I said I listen to anything that’s real and has soul. Love my music.
Perfectly stated. I don't care about color or genre. For me, it's about seeing him shatter people's expectations of what they think they are going to hear. There have been many crossover musicians in recording history. But I've never heard of another artist where it's truly hard to lock them into any genre like Chris. His appeal is universal. When people hear Tennessee Whisky or see his Austin City Limits performance or even the CMA performance with Justin Timberlake they instantly become fans. He's transcended the country genre because he's so much more than that.
keep it up as long as you can. some other reactors have to do their pauses so youtube's copyright system doesn't take down the videos. As you get more subscribers you may start running into that. Keep up the great work
I'm here 2 years later to say that his wife sounds just as amazing, her voice compliments his voice beautifully, and the live version of him singing with his wife is even more amazing, as a matter of fact all the live versions song twice as better.
He makes the guitar sing the same way he does his voice! And if you watch the actual video of him performing this song and watch the way he looks at Morgane his wife as she sings with him,, it’s beautiful
First time hearing Chris sing this, when the song ended I just sat back and I felt like 'what just happened?'. It changed something in music to me. He sings out his respect to music in its most raw and natural form...
I’ve watched probably 25 or more reactions to this song and yours is one of my favorite!! You didn’t keep stopping the music to comment and you didn’t “lose you mind” (in a good way 😁) by commenting over the music. Your thought bubble 💭 comments are ingenious and amazing too!!!! And yes, as you say many many of your brothers & sisters have reacted to this video and have been just as amazed and totally immersed in his music.....soulful, the runs etc. I love it. Yes, I’m a white married (38 years to the same man) mom & grandmother. I for one cannot carry a tune in a bucket! I don’t remember names of songs, but I know what I like. I don’t know the terminology. But I love this song!!! Thank you for what you do Jamel AKA Jamal! 👍🏼👍🏼

How funny is it that watching black reactors respond to country music has got me listening to country music again. I gave up on the whole genre a long time ago. So i looked up the original and listened and Oh! Em! Gee! There as NO comparison! Chris Stapleton took this song with already great lyrics and turned it into his very own. I don't care how many more covers come off it,it'll never get better than this. The original singer would've been proud.
