I believe Kalevala means water, big lake or similar. In Kalevala you for sure have tons inspiration for a next theme.

Kalevala is actually a poetic name for Finland. So Kalevala is pretty much the same as Midgard is in the norse mythology.
The thought and research you put into the symbols used on this lure were fascinating, Mikko. And, as always, your execution of the complex carving and painting processes was stunning.

That's a really awesome art piece lure. As much as I want to see it catch a fish, it would be a shame to mar the intricate detail with pike tooth marks.

I have made a model of a one in the past but I never made a tutorial of it. Soo maybe I will correct that in the future
This wood "Pau Ferro" is translated as "Iron Wood" which is perfect, considering the theme!
