Why is the editing so bad? We are here to see how the fastest smash in badminton feels like. Truly disappointed.
Typical example of overdone.
love the part when we see the smash
Should be, fastest badminton smash in non-match/tournament
The world fastest smashers in the tournaments seen and laughed at this. They just did it to boost themselves and sell thier products.
Thats why its said Guinness world record not BWF record
I have a dream that one day Yonex will make semi decent videos 🙃
absolutely... such a shame... they have all the access and all the budget, but...
Jia Yi Fan, Yuki Fukushima, Mayu Matsumoto, Carolina Marin, PV Sindhu, weren't considered for this???
No.
they are not worthy.
I'm not saying Yonex is lying and bragging but truthfully there isn't any evidence to show that those players actually hit that super high-speed smash and actually broke the world record.
It's on the Guinness world record.... Go check it out.
Both Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Pearly Tan’s world record attempts were conducted under controlled conditions at the Yonex Tokyo Factory in Soka, Saitama, Japan, on April 14, 2023.
The marks were later verified by official judges from the Guinness world records based on the speed measurement results from that day.
Agreeed, just overly hyperbolic marketing
@@JinxyNZyes, it can even be bought out 😂😂😂
videos are probably coming in the following weeks. they need to tease as much as they can
theres literally evidence at 0:33 but you do you man.
恭喜Pearly締造人類新紀錄!真正的女神!
Excellent
I still thinking arisa's jump smash is as strong & natural like man player. Even English commentator like Auntie Gillian always ss mentioned about it and always praised for her athletic. Also thailand commentators will say it's the same no matter opponent throws the shutter to arisa or yuta cz both able to smash strongly 😂 🤣
Its look like she is but not that power as we see. But Arisa, Pearly, Vivian Hoo is the only female player use a jump smash often.
Athleticism helps in getting behind the shuttle fast and jumping. Ginting is good at that and Auntie Gillian ALWAYS comments on that. To have a fast shuttle spped, however, takes more than athleticism. You require technique (esp on the wrist) and power.
From viewer perspective, here the problems I found with this kind of publicity :
1. They don't exactly gather all women' athlete that consider have hard smash (since it's released by Yonex, I think it's safe to assume it's for Yonex contract's athlete only, but still the comparison for 3 athletes only???)
2. I assume the device used here is new technology speed tracker from Hawk Eye introduced at India Open 2015, which means the speed shuttle measurement is more accurate and there is bias with the record before the new device used.
3. There is no exact record of hardest smash in the past before speed tracker is used (or maybe it's just me who couldn't find the data)
4. It's done at control room, not in the middle of match where much pressure and intensity happen.
5. I am neither pro badminton player nor someone specifiaclly profession at badminton subject, but it's hard to accept they even didn't smash exactly at baseline, which make it easier to produce hard smash.
6. No offence, but this event done by one of the biggest sport equipment brands instead of other more objective institution.
Based on these reasons, I think it would be wise to accept this campaign it's more advertorial than neutral campaign from more reliable source. Yet, it does not imply (since it's said it's been verified by judges) the record is not legitimate or something like that.
Still, is it rightfully assesed and judged? Questionable. It might understate other athletes, especially who has harder smash in the past, but unrecorded.
Too much brainstorming buddy. Player presents gets to set the record. Any player who thinks they can do better can challenge the record. It's not like the record is final. It gets break all the freaking time.
3 persons only?!
No Arisa Higashino?
❤
Only 3 candidates?
The least scientific approach one could take to the quest of establishing the fastest smash. If the new racquet is what makes it possible then isn’t it logical a player who already can do 400kmh can now achieve 500kmh? What was Pearly’s fastest smash using her old racquet?
A combination of advertisement and getting the record I'd say. I was surprised they invited specific players but not all of them. Would like to see [active] players like Axelsen for the men record or Lee Zii Jia (but he's sponsored by Victor and this racket is Yonex so I can't really complain.
Dont think too hard about this. It's fastest smash by player not fastest racket. Any player can pick up the most advance racket and challenge the record. The Guinness World record is not final and has always been challenged throughout times.
Its a nice
Why so many bitter comments? If other brands/ organizations are willing to create new record themselves, go ahead.
Had PV Sindhu been considers fr this, results wud have been different
He's not from yonex

There are maaany different type of smash speed measure. This one is the most rediculous one.
I think they measure the speed of the cork coming out of the strings.
This is the one used in all tournaments and training. It measures the fastest speed the shuttle reaches, which is the moment it leaves the racquet. This is the best measurement for two reasons. 1)badminton is a reaction sport. If initial velocity is high, the shuttle will travel further per the same opponent reaction time. 2)assuming the shuttle is not sliced, the fastest initial velocity under the same conditions results in a faster shuttle at every point prior to landing, where it’s 0. That means it doesn’t really matter where you measure, faster is faster. But only initial velocity takes into account opponent reactions.
@@qwertyutopia4667 Lab conditions like this allow measurement way closer to the strings than in tournaments. Some of the videos of tan boon heong's previous record show technicians slowly analyzing the video frame by frame afterwords to determine the speed, rather than the instantaneous result you see in tournaments.
How did these three players get involved? Who decided that they are the BEST choice for breaking the record? Or this is just simply a marketing strategy for the new nanofare 1000?
what happens if these players use z force 2 or z speed?
Why on earth would that be better? Z-Force 2 is an ancient racket 😅

This is an advertisement for Nanoflare 1000Z.
@c-a-t-entertinment7075 yup, i'm seldomly play now due to my work commitments, but still have those z's racket, z-speed, z-force 2 legend vision, and z-slash. Don't have z-strike tho since i stop playing when it came out
why Pearly Tan not using 1000z?
It works on Doppler effect
Very poor, yonex. Where even is the actual smash? What a fake... lousy marketing.
🌼🖤
I think this is how most guiness world records are made, no? In a controlled environment. Others are welcome to break the record on their own initiative. Lets not be so negative. Yes critical thinking is valued, but lets not criticize everything 😄
I think Carolina, An se young, P V sindhu would be better choices.
Single players cannot hit that strong as their racquets are comparatively heavier than double players . They can smash at most 450km /h
No offence but an se young can’t smash. Watch all her matches and her smashes are not that strong
@@udenrameli4280 Okuhara then
@@Batega_Toh_Katega--HINDU Watch this if you want to know how fast is Okuhara's smash: ruclips.net/video/qK_VedSCyyQ/видео.html
Spoiler: She is probably one of the worst choices for this. She is a rally player who depends on speed. Smashes aren't her forte.
Testing should be conducted by BWF instead of Yonex which is trying to promote their product. That's not fair in my opinion.
Why not sindhu?
Tension and strings ?
where is the smashing sound? llmao
I guess someone have to do housecleaning now💀
First comen
Mana aksi smash nya ???😢
Correction: I've seen a lot of headlines forcing feminist or politically correct narratives to represent provocative headlines with gender neutral languages, "Guinness World Record Smash | Name of a female player"; and started off with some female athletes.🤦🏻 While the actual headline is: "Guinness World Record Smash Female | Name of the female athlete"
Unless they are considering that a biological 'male' dressed a woman can obliterate the current female record 😄
Trick to sell nanoflare 1000
Tye tzu Ying can hit well than Thinaa
Just my opinion
Also chinese player
Don't forget arisa higashino
shoulda got higashino lol
I used all brands I can say Yonex is the best even it's cheap price bat is lasting for years
Nice video editing
Horribly edited. Doesn't show the smash what so ever. Also, what are the conditions used to pick the 3 players listed for both male and female category? You had both Thinaah & Pearly Tan, which are the pair that are not known for their smashes in WD. During games majority of their points are not won through their smashes, and their smashes tend to be on the weaker side when comparing to other WD players. I'm a huge fan of them, but come on Yonex, do better.
man aquired 565. female 438 interesting
I'm wondering why they are using headlight rackets for powerful smashes? Why not Astroz or other head heavy rackets for powerful smashes?
1000z in not headlight
Guinness record isnt there so its the marketing for the new racket lol
Weirdly, she hardly smashed in Olympics 2024. Maybe she can get the Defend World Record as well? LOL
This is nonsense, and you know it.
yonex,,, only to show their power. where was the other player? better than pearly, off course you have.
Rankireddy just hit 500 km/hr jump smash at korea open 2023..so what kind of "marketing trick" actually do that?? 😂😂
So, Pearly Tan can smash stronger than Goh V Shem, Fu Haifeng and Mohammed Ahsan? Either Yonex is high, lying or they are using technology in game that's not allowed. Pearly tan is good but have some dignity Yonex.
The metrics were different in the times of fu haifeng.
In 2006 the fastest smash world record belonged to Fu haifeng at something around 310 kmph and btw after metrica were changed fu crossed more than 400 many times in his matches
also this is conditioned enviroment, in a real matched she wouldnt achieve anything close to that
@kio-3620 How many male players were in these most recent tests? I'm sure that I've seen Pearly Tan play in real life and her smash wasn't hard at all. 😂
Regardless of measuring method, why are you comparing women record with men? Go and pit your people with Rankireddy who got the Male's fastest smash record and leave Pearly Tan alone. LOL
@@kio-3620 that's why it's not done in this environment in order to set new records lol what's so difficult to understand maybe you are just too pissed lol it's still a record you can cry your balls out... It's crazy how much indos get mad when Malaysia achieves something lol the level of envy is unreal
RIP Melayu
Sindhu would have easily surpassed pearly
No matter how fast cb u smash... Ppl still can defend.. so what's the point ? Faster smash.... Still lose...
Just an easy way for marketing(new racket).
Out of so many female players out there, only 3 players were selected for the test
There are plenty of big hitter out there.
Guinness world record, a really big doubt for your standard 😂
sir can you gift me nanoflare 1000 z
Sure, of course you can. Its on the way, posting it as I type this message.
pov: /e free on roblox lol :/
