    If the BWF were to introduce an award category honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to badminton, my heartfelt recommendation would go to Jenny and Greg. They truly deserve it! I want to commend both of them for their remarkable efforts, and I hope they continue to create and share their amazing online videos.

    I really liked how you added situations where the shot should not be played and variations of the shot depending on your position. The most crucial point in this video was about being relaxed as I have always wondered how players that were much smaller than I were able to generate a lot of power. This has literally been a game changer for me in all aspects of my game.

    I was taught professionally for less than a year in primary school and uses to play every week until I got to secondary school and completely stopped. 20 years later I'm picking up the racquet again and plays with my partner every week (we try to). We are both amazed how much techniques we don't know and are so eager to learn and train!!! Thanks!!

    I had a practice session last week focusing exactly on the Forehand drive. Snaping the wrist was indeed the key to more consistent and controlled shots. Thank you for bringing this video, i can go back to it wherever I return to my bad habits of using my shoulder and swinging like a madman :D

    Hey, I used to be on my school badminton team a little more than a decade ago, and had a professional racket (it's sort of heavier). I recently bought a new badminton racket which is considerably lighter.
    I still have both of them but just not sure if the technology of rackets has changed. The racket is still sturdy, metal, but it's quite light (almost as if it's hollow). Whereas my old one that I used a lot, and still in good shape seems to not be hollow.
    I may be mistaken in all this, it may just be that there are heavier and lighter rackets around.

  • @boliussa
    @boliussa Год назад +2

    I've paused it after 4min 'cos i'm so blown away by how good this video is.. on so many levels. To give two examples, you making the point about the foot landing milliseconds before making contact with the shuttle, is so accurate.. Very few coaches know that and it normally has to be pointed out even to coaches, but you guys knew and say it as part of your coaching. Fantastic! Also when you talk about the wrist, you specified you were referring to bending.. So you specified exactly what wrist movement you meant.. Excellent super clear. Not like most others in badminton that blabber about using or not using the wrist, you used the proper term for the exact wrist movement you meant. And And not only that but you tell the whole story that if there's time then a big swing on it is fine. I am seriously wondering if you guys are sent by God. And in which case i'd have to no longer be an Atheist! And the point about the foot landing milliseconds before.. was similarly amazingly pointed by you as a thing in the overhead backhand clear that makes it easier to time and by making it easier to time, increases the power. And that solved a long riddle and debate i'd heard between coaches and mystery about the landing of the foot on the BH clear and it being a source of power and where that power comes from. You guys are a miracle.
