The music reminds of Viggo from Ghostbusters II. Love GH5 and Arri mix, such a great camera that still kicking! I just bought a GH5 for $399 and lenses and Ninja V too, the setup is amazing. So much easier to use for me with great menus than Sony, terrible menus and no easy White balance on Sony on custom profiles

I bought a second had GH5 just recently bit I don’t believe ot has the ability to shoot in VLog as it doesn’t have the upgrade…but I will still look at these LUTS…. loved watching this non the less

There is only one lutback that’s needed to convert the v-log footage to a standard or natural picture profile. That means, if you don’t shoot in v-log, you can still apply the other 80 lut’s from the library to create a filmlook, commercial, fashion…. it has all tipes

I'd like to ask a question: are your videos filmed in ALL INTRA OR LONGOP. and do you use V30, V60 or V90 memory cards? Finally, is a 56 mm 1.4 sigma worth it compared to a 50 mm sigma art with an adapter ring?
I'm filming in 24p 10bit 422 Longop using a card from scan disk V30 200mb/s 128Gb. I don't know the Sigma 50mm with adapter. I've never used it. But I can say that the Sigma 56mm 1.4 is good in low light and the autofocus works. The lens is also very sharp. That is all I can say :)
@@kenslyder Hey ! I just saw the C4K Proresraw on the GH7 is only available in Pixel to Pixel (about 1,4/1,5x crop, more or less the same mode than EXTELECONVERT mode on the GH5). Of course, it makes senses since Raw uses the full sensor so only 5,7K 17:9 full sensor is available when using Proresraw. This definitely make me reconsider my purchase since the IBIS is always slightly better in 4K and C4K modes, and also the files in 5,7K are just too big, about 3/4go per second.

isnt that arri conversion lut supposed to be applied on an arri log image in order to get a rec709 image (arri rec709 in that case)? you're applying it on a v-log image, so you're not actually getting arri colors. your title suggests how to get arri log from v-log (or from gh5 directly), which as far as i saw, isnt what you're actually doing. probably the best way to do it is to use ghalex conversion lut - the gh5 version, which was specifically designed and calculated for gh5, so i would suppose it's the best.
Yes I think you're right. This is what I said in the video. The arri log c3 is meant to be used with the GH7 and GH6 while filming in Arri log c3. But you can use it on the GH5 while shooting in v-log. It isn't very accurate but in this video I've also compared the panasonic conversion lut for v-log with the arri log c3 conversion lut on the v-log footage. And the ARRI log seems to be more accurate in colors than the original Panasonic conversion LUT. Of course it's not perfect but I'm showing what is possible to do even on the GH5. Not everyone is using the GH5 professionally and know how this all works, so I wanted to show and make it easy for everyone who wants to experiment it on he's own. Thanks for your comment! :)
hey 😃. The Gimbal I'm using is very good paired with the GH5 and is one of the cheapest and light wight! Since I bought the gimbal I've never needed to recharge the batteries yet and you can also replace batteries on this gimbal.
Yes exactly the same. If you can install the Lut's on your editing software, it will work with any camera. The GH5s is a very great camera especially when it comes to low light performance!
@@charliewilson3234 thank you so much. I put my GH5 on a tripod too and lot of times. I think every filmmaker should have a tripod even if their camera has an IBIS. Or, for instance: I also use a gimbal with the GH5 if I really want smooth footage. So I think if you just get a cheep gimbal like the (ZHIYUN weebill S) for more or less $200, you’ll be very happy with the results! Most professional cinema cameras also don’t have internal image stabilization and continuous autofocus. The GH5s is a professional video camera and I even believe it has a slightly better image quality than the GH5! Great camera 👍🙌

@@kenslyder It’s the very best thing out there to truly match an Alexa. Make sure to get the full 65$ pack, which include versions for Tungsten and Mixed light scenarios.. which is crucial!!! Also make sure you use it right (read the included PDF). It will completely transform your GH5! 😎👊🏻

@@kenslyder Cool, but I already know the answer here. The GH7 will have a better image quality, but the GH5 will have a much better Alexa match. The included Arri LogC3 in the GH7 is only a curve and doesn’t align the colors with the Alev sensor. It’s like having a built-in V-Log to LogC3 "CST" in the camera.. it helps matching an Alexa, but not much since you can achieve similar results with the CST tool in Resolve. Emotive Color is the way to go for the ultimate TRUE match (no manual correction required). It even fixes some issues that the official ARRI 709 LUT has (you’ll see when you’ll read the PDF). It’s incredible! But don’t worry, Emotive Color for GH7 will come as well! ;)

@@omaralcantara1142 The only thing you have to pay for is, if you want to unlock the ARRI Log C3 profile in camera. But this works only in the GH7 and the GH6 with an upgrade. But using their lut's to color grade is completely free. So when I'm shooting in V-Log on the GH5 for instance I'm able to get close to the ARRI look with a few tweaks. And it's completely free. Like I show in this video :)
