Bro, I think even Sony zv-e10 camera gives a more interesting picture. I love Panasonic, but I think their technology has been stuck in the past for a long time.
I color graded it that way in purpose
I'm not talking about the color. I'm talking about the overall impression. The focus is floating, the detail of the picture. Perhaps RUclips compresses the quality, but the simplest Sony camera will give a more interesting picture. It would be interesting to see a comparison with other manufacturers.

@@SoulofSiberiaRu I think this may not be true to all people. Seeing some vids here on YT some of them are awesome to look at. "The simplest sony camera" does not even have IBIS nor many of the professional features. Each camera has their own look, that is true, but your statement should be taken with a grain of salt.

@@minorrhoads5318 it was on animal detection mode by mistake. So it just focused on the eye and not my head. Haha
@@kenslyder Ha ha 😀, Well it was only that watching so many rushed reviews where there seemed to be an annoying subtle drift on the eyes that put me off , i was starting to think i might as well get the GH6 as i really like the rest of that camera too and even the GH6 is good for a DFD camera , Peta pixel did pretty good review with GH7 , but your footage has inspired and convinced me its fine . thanks again . and thanks for the reply's.

@@kenslyder Sorry, only noticed the 50fps. I can't really tell, but I guess it does look blurry like it's filmed at 24fps, but what's the 50fps? Not a professional, can't find info on a 24p/50fps mode on any review or spec sheet.
@@joonas.roosalu no problem :) you set your camera to shoot at 4K 24p 10bit 422 in the menu. Then you set the shutter speed at 50fps. the shutter speed has to be doble the frame rate of 24p more or less. Not essentially in this case but more for when you’re shooting moving objects to achieve motion blur. So thats what most videographers are shooting in. Or you can set the GH5 to the 180 degree shutter rule that way it will automatically doble the shutter speed when you’re shooing at 24p or 60p slow motion. I hope that helps

Wow wha a fab video, I was so chiled by the background music and your voice, i was able to concentrate on all the info. I bought a second had GH5 just recently bit I don’t believe ot has the ability to shoot in VLog as it doesn’t have the upgrade…but I will still look at these LUTS…. loved watching this non the less
@@ThisisDigitalden oh hello thanks! 😃 You can still use the over 80 luts on your footage! There is only one lutback that’s needed to convert the v-log footage to a standard or natural picture profile. That means, if you don’t shoot in v-log, you can still apply the other 80 lut’s from the library to create a filmlook, commercial, fashion…. it has all tipes

yeh I’m still happy with the GH5 for my work load and demands but i can see a slight degree of improved sharpness on the GH7 if that’s what ya want ! less filmic ?

Nice one! The GH7 is amazing, but as a GH5 user it makes me happy that the GH5 still looks very good up until 3200.

@@kenslyder Yes you're right, and on the S5II, V-log is even more important because all the standard profiles look extremely digital.
It's really interesting to see how much better the GH7 holds contrast especially from ISO 1000 and up.I personally think the GH7 looks better across the range. And this is coming from a long time GH5 user. I know a lot of people are talking about colors, but I don't think a low light example is a good way to judge color difference. Really great test, and love all your GH7 vs GH5 videos, especially as a GH5 owner and thinking about getting a GH7, and using the GH5 as a backup/b-cam. Keep up the great work!

Coming from the GH5 for 7 years, having the GH7 now it’s great especially for the autofocus and to be able to shoot in log in slow motion as well etc. plus, i can use all my M43 lenses from my GH5 and make the GH7 to my A camera. It’s always great to keep the GH5 for a backup camera and the image quality and colors of the GH5 still impresses. thanks for sharing your thoughts 😃🙌
To my eyes at least the gh7 looked much cleaner all the way up. GH5 was possibly usable...

The GH7 image is much cleaner and clearer, but I think most people will like the color science gh5 better.

Nice work Ken. I just received my Lark M2 in the mail and loving them so far. Going to try a run with it and my Osmo Action camera shortly. A new music video that I filmed and edited has been released if you want to check it out. Not shot on GH5 but my BMPCC4K with the Sigma 18-35. ruclips.net/video/6wWCbEfwXkA/видео.html It was a fun one to work on. Hopefully soon I will shoot one on the GH5.
I put up massive attempts using the GH5. Then I got the GH5 and I was like wait a second, this one of the best cameras ever.. Then I got the GH6 and was convinced THAT was the best camera and stabilization ever... I can only imagine how good the GH7 is now ! Although, that GH5 was keeping up, til' about 1600 ISO. Which, when I had those cameras, I never pushed an image above that anyway. Good to see, GH5 still quality !

I don´t know, Ken, but... I like the GH5 image more ! At least I don't see $2000 in the image quality of these shots. From 2500 upwards a slight difference is seen. Well, my opinion. Good!

I was really drooling over the Gh7 as an upgrade but then hopped on the Bmcc 6k deal for $1500 and have since learned that if you want a camera you can hand hold without a any attachments and get gimbal performance levels of stability lumix m43 is still luxurious in that department. But damn the pixels simply can’t match the efficiency of larger sensors 🙃

Was expecting better result from gh7. It’s definitely sharper , but can’t say it’s a big difference, as both can’t go with high iso
