I love to see Sheryl with that long dress, old styled shoes, her hair taken like an old woman and almost no make up, and yet still looks great and lovely....she is just so real and humble, and tell us that a great singer and artist doesn't have to be a clown of the show and cosmetic industries...making her feel a stranger in her own life...
One critic called it reminiscent of Keith Richards. Why? Because this song is influenced by The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil." The percussion that even starts the song is another clue.
Someone said, this is a great song that helps with depression for me who surfers from severe depression even with the medications it really, helps me a lot just-something so true to me!
This song got me feeling nostalgic over the outdoorsy, summer days of the 90s I never even had as a child. (I was too shy to go outside and play with other kids and preferred to stay at home and watch tv) Now that kids are being raised on brain rotting ipads, I wish I hadn't taken those days for granted. I was given the childhood golden era and I wasted it. Such a shame.
I played this video to my mother who was in the early stages of cancer. I'll always regret not being there on her final day. Never regret playing this song for her and trying to explain how important this song was to US.
Sheryl's work was a part of my week for YEARS. I especially loved her version of Cash's "Redemption Day". Excellent. And naturally, so too was "You're My Favorite Mistake". :) I think we all have one of those. If not two or three.
Underrated album from the 90s. Its quite edgy and the hip hop influence was well done. Very solid songs and nice guitar playing all over it. She was never this cool again, for for about a year she had it
This song refreshes me. It brings me back to reality to not take life so seriously, enjoy the moment and trust that fate will lead me to exactly where I am meant to be. Just let life flow and enjoy the ride and all it's curves.
You can’t believe how much I miss the 90s I have never heard this song before I listened to it in the of the film Erin brockvich it gave me a strong feeling of sadness and longing
I was just a young kid in the 90s, not even in my teens. Im 25 now. I think the 90's were the last *somewhat* peaceful time.A lot of issues were already surfaced and people were fighting, but in general I think humanity was more kind towards eachother. As a young adult I feel lost in the current time we live in. Peace, Love and Unity to everyone on this page.
Well, it probably did feel that way in the West due to the end of the Cold War... but then you also had the Yugoslav Wars, the Rwandan Genocide, the Gulf War, wars in Africa, the bombing of the WTC and other terrorism etc. etc. Maybe it was mostly relative optimism after the threat of nuclear war seemed over in spite of the other conflicts?
90's really were the last decade of great music. It has been spiraling down the toilet ever since. The fade out at the end of this song makes you feel like your losing something and you have no choice but to let it go and say goodbye. Sheryl was and still is one of the hottest women on the planet!
Cheryl Crow, I love you, I was asked years ago who I'd want to be stranded on a deserted island with, I said Cheryl Crow and a guitar, no matter the outcome, the music would be sensational. This song is the song we need right now, as we all wind our way through the pandemic, we get a little bit closer..
Thinking back to when I was a 90's kid, happy and carefree, listening to Sheryl Crow's album my parent's computer. She will probably never read this but Sheryl brought a lot of happiness and fun to people's lives... and still does. We love you forever, girl!!

Quite the contrary...I definitely realized when the 90's were over.
Best days ever
I'm here after seeing a thing on Janice Joplin. I've always thought that Cheryl is my generations' Janice.

2020, headphones on, Sounds epic!
Right with yh 🌸💃🏾
This and the Subaru commercials bring back too many memories of comfort. Pure fucking comfort.
sheryl crow is a brilliant poet with a very philosophical take on life great artiste
Well put. I agree she is not just a poet, songwriter and artist but she is also very human
@@Johnthedreamer1968 Great song please check out Sheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow Album Review on my channel
I loved Cheryl's music from the time she was a nobody, until now. Not only gorgeous, but such a great artist, her songs, lyrics, story, hits home with my life, God bless this beautiful woman, and all she has brought too, and has contributed to the music industry!!!! She is one in a million!!!
Its a prince song
When I heard the line, I'm a stranger in my own life, that hit me soo hard. Left a cult over 30 years ago, and still struggling thru life....
I have a similar story. I hope you're doing better now.
It's a song that makes you feel happy and inspires you to get off your backside and do things .
I love the part where Sheryls rocking out to a non existing guitar 🎸 ❤
One of the coolest guitar riffs of the decade.
***** That too!
One critic called it reminiscent of Keith Richards. Why? Because this song is influenced by The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil." The percussion that even starts the song is another clue.
ClassicTVMan1981X i. Love that song too
Roy Lay do you like that song. Too
***** h me too babe
Someone said, this is a great song that helps with depression for me who surfers from severe depression even with the medications it really, helps me a lot just-something so true to me!
I hope it s getting better!!!
When I feel great (happy), this song puts me on a natural high. It enhances my nice mood.
I love this song so much, she describes the journey of life really well, and how she kept on truckin'
Who plays guitar on this song-it’s amazing!
Peter Stroud and Audley Freed
She is so talented. I've loved her music for so many years. Great song!
Sheryl's work was a part of my week for YEARS. I especially loved her version of Cash's "Redemption Day". Excellent. And naturally, so too was "You're My Favorite Mistake". :) I think we all have one of those. If not two or three.
Enjoying a beer on Friday night listening to this song. Life is so good.
This song reminds me that everything is going to be ok
This is such a great and emotional song in a good way. It makes me cry happily like that.
Cheryl crow has a beautiful clear voice really like this song!!!
Not sure why, but this song just randomly popped in my head.
Underrated album from the 90s. Its quite edgy and the hip hop influence was well done. Very solid songs and nice guitar playing all over it. She was never this cool again, for for about a year she had it
This is her best song, hands down. Very philosophical without being obvious about it.
This song refreshes me. It brings me back to reality to not take life so seriously, enjoy the moment and trust that fate will lead me to exactly where I am meant to be. Just let life flow and enjoy the ride and all it's curves.
My gosh how I missed that song, it had disappeared in my mind, and now I feel fresh and young again 🥰
Sheryl was a genre all her own in the 90’s!!
Phenonmenon. This song has pure Northern California written all over it.
Sheryl is from Missouri... how do you get NorCal from this song?
We're all in it together.Let's tone down the nonsense like warding off the hate that some want to instill.
You can’t believe how much I miss the 90s
I have never heard this song before I listened to it in the of the film Erin brockvich it gave me a strong feeling of sadness and longing
The ECHOING vocals in this song is EVERYTHING!💯
yes
😍😍😍😍
I totally dig Sheryl Crow. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
This jam is tight and the tempo is ridiculous..very unique. I don't think if ever experienced a rhythm like this..one word comes to mind..spectacular
Nate Hodges Fair point. However, more and more youth are on the same page of peace & prosperity than ever before.
Peace, Love, Wisdom & Unity to you +Nate Hodges.
Peace love and Unity indeed!
Like hell they are.... What a stupid statement.
This song will always be the one that helped me get through depression as a kid when I was too young to even understand it. 👍
Glad to hear brudda. Pass it on!

Keep on rockin
you gotta love the 70s, 80s and the 90s music. its timeless
Saw her and her band a few years back. One of the best concert experiences I've ever had! And, at 72, I've been to a few!
Thinking back to when I was a 90's kid, happy and carefree, listening to Sheryl Crow's album my parent's computer. She will probably never read this but Sheryl brought a lot of happiness and fun to people's lives... and still does. We love you forever, girl!!
Incomparable! Is this your favourite song?
Damn, the end of the nineties were peak peak folk music. Everything went to sh@t after that. At the time, it felt it was going to last forever and we didn't pay attention.
I just love this song. It makes me feel calm and think positively.
Hearing this song on Saturday morning fresh air in the 90's... oh the memories.
"Sooo Good!!"🙏🏼🎵🌟🎤🎧
I remember buying this album on tape as a 12 year old and this particular song was my fave :)
This song is perfect for someone trying to overcome depression
My "I feel good" song!
🤪 gee golly it's that easy!?
"I'm just wondering why I feel so all alone
Why I'm a stranger in my own life"
Rock has the ability to bring out the best from most. The winding road comes to a point.
"I'm just wondering why I feel so all alone. Why I'm a stranger in my own life."
I love this song too
hi I like thi song too
'get a little closer to feeling fineee' ;-) Sheryl helping me today !
I was just gonna ask you that exact same question! Hell with it, I'll just eat the gun.

My sister's owned pairs of black high heels like Sheryl's wearing in the 90's how many other girls wore those type of high heels in the day?
There's no faulting this video shot in sepia tones. Has a warmth all its own. Oh, and the song is magnificent too. ❤
good God she is beautiful.
Cody Gephart She is a transsexual
Reptile Shapechanger That’s not true.

The 90’s was a great decade with some great music!!!
The era when music is pure art!

33 year old male. Sentimental vibes never die. One of the best songs ever. Cigarettes and caffeine are universal and yes bad. Don't tell my body that. Lol.
Yes!
I love this song 🎵 ❤️, and Sheryl Crow, this song is very relatable. Cause, everyday is a winding road. I'm glad that everyday brings something new and exciting. I love this type of music 🎶 🎵
I was 4 years old in 96. this song takes me back. still love it.
