These 2021 P790’s are awesome! I just had my first Iron Fitting, and settled for these. I went from hitting my old 6 iron in the AP2’s a total of 173 yards carry to hitting this 6 iron 199 yards carry! Swing speed was at 95-99 MPH! Believe me, I was as surprised as the Fitter was!! I hope it sticks out on the course.
I definitely need to upgrade I'm still using the old Taylormade Tour burner 2008's lol I would think I would see a good improvement overall with these new P790's. 😃
Great review! How would you compare it these to the new Titliest T-200? Specifically launch angle/height and distance? Which do you think feels better and which has a thinner top line? Thanks! And again, really great review
Club fitters were recently told that the TM factory that makes these is shut down due to Covid and earliest delivery is mid-December! Every week you wait to order pushes that out to 2022! Why even release these when no one can get them for 4-5 months???
The P series are the nicest looking irons I’ve ever seen and they’re expensive as well. There’s other fine equipment out there for much less. If I bought a set it would make me feel like a tour sponsor of sorts.
Had a fitting today and in my mind I wanted the titlest T200,s But after after my fitting I ended up purchasing the P790 2021 irons . The P790 went 6 to 8 yards further and felt softer and hotter of the bat compared to the T200,s The height when hitting both of these clubs are fantastic and both launch very high when hitting and was pretty much identical. This when means a softer landing and not rolling out for miles on end. The Dispersion went to the T200 but only just as it was very very minimal and not enough to sway me to the T200,s both are forgiving irons and both fantastic to look at. The top line on the T200 is thinner. But the overall look of these clubs would have to go to the P790 but that’s my personal opinion / choice. So I Purchased the P790 RH 4-PW Dynamic Gold 105 VSS Stiff Flex Std length 1D Flat . At £1,050. Now for the long wait until they arrive
Cosmetically the back looks neater and I like the satin finish, but I'm surprised that the top line looks chunkier than the original. Did you notice any change in the feel/sound with the different foam?
I tried the P770s and thought they were beautiful clubs. The 7 iron was going as far as my current 5 iron. Did you test the P790 PW? Did you start getting huge gaps in your lower irons? If the P790 PW goes 160 yards for you, how do you manage your Gap Wedge, SW and LW. Thanks for the review!

Seems like a nice improvement. Roughly same spin and distance but higher launch and better stopping power.

I've got the 2019 model, and looking at the data, there would no real gain to change them.

Stunning clubs but wow wow wow on the pricing. I played the 2019 P790s (used ebay $700) and while they were fantastic they're not $2000 fantastic.

I must be sponsored because in the last 7 months I’ve bought Mizuno JPX 921 HMP , Srixon ZX5 irons and I just ordered the 2021 P790’s 😂
