Sometimes it's actually more fun to try to keep the car on the very limit of its' rear wheels traction, rather than going into drift straightaway. This creates a situation where a small oversteer skid is efficient and without losing speed on the exit from the corners. The line between a clean line and drift is sometimes pretty thin and it takes a really great handling car to balance it. The Subaru BRZ is simply perfect for training this technique. Another car where you can get a similar feel and capabilities would be the new BMW M4 G82!

On a wet road yes but on a dry road this thing is underpowered for serious drift

@@s70driver2005 He's well beyond the "limits" of traction, he is intentionally trying to make the car slide, I would call that drifting.
@DriftNick is he though? He isn't roasting the tires like crazy but just minor slides and 4 wheel sliding. He is barely turning the wheel too.

Yes, the front grip and the balance of the car is surprising. Weight distribution (56:44) isn't everything.

I would say it's very difficult to do! I had some training on a wet handling circuit and low-mu surface test track in an M3 and it was very difficult to initiate and then control a slide. I could not do the 360 round a roundabout at all!! Always spun out. I'm sure with practice it will come, but a lot of practice! And this is on a closed circuit, purpose made for doing this kind of driving. I would never like to try learning on the roads!

Finally a driver thats driving this car the way its supposed to be driven.. its really disappointing to see other drivers using this for drag race.. its not the car for that.. im not saying you have to drift the car, atleast find a proper track/road not just a straight line.

Tohle je fakt nádherné video! Na některých místech - nejvíc na začátku - je krásně vidět, jak si pomocí plynu a brzdy řídíš smyk, tak jak potřebuješ a krásně si to tam překýváváš z jedné strany na druhou. Nepatřím k fandům driftování, ale takhle krásně si vodit auto po okresce, to je fakt paráda 👍👍👍

Looks very similar to a place somewhat near me. "Tar hollows" it used to be part of the North American Rally stage here in Ohio. Very Very fun roads, also Very VERY dangerous for a novice. This guy makes it look easy. He knows this car well.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider driving like that on a road like that with no rails or anything. Even the best people spin out eventually, and there is like no room for that kind of fuck up at those speeds.

This is a great way to have a lot of fun with a BRZ while not pushing too much G force in order to keep from blowing its FA24 engine.
