If my N54 didn't make me poor I'd pay top dollar for your services. Thanks for the DIYs man. You should try get some sponsors to give you parts for the B58, N54, and the N55
You can remove the as ash tray cover by prying one layer deeper and it will pop right off. Then you don’t need to glue it back together. You can also wrap over the silver accent and then just carefully cut it out. I wrapped mine in an Avery brushed titanium and it came out great. Best interior refresh you can do for about 60 US. I looked at the factory aluminum options and at over 1000 US it was an easy decision to try wrapping.
Let me be honest your videos are to a high quality and straight forward, love that. Every one of your videos are taken step by step and not many people do that rendering the view to guesswork. Hands down you are one of the best DIY channels I've watched when it comes to car content. Yet again I love your videos and hope many more to come.👍
completed mine today, ashtray top lid on my LCI was clipped together and came off and re-clipped back easily, so didn't had tonuse JB weld, the silver trim too came out easily, i used a pointed nail and gave a little hammer stroke from the back!!
Very nicely done. Sure made me happier to have the dark aluminum hexagonal trim in my 335is. Since I am an oldie, wood veneer looks more luxurious to me.
Thank you for being our Guinea pig!! I may try this on my X5, my wood trim is starting to show cracks. Still on the fence if I like it in the e90, it’s different, but looks good, thank you for the DIY!
This video is inspiring me to do my e93.I love that you can really go individual with the finished product.I have mineral white paint work so I'm going to go white carbon fibre on my trim.Great video thanks for sharing from the UK!!
Thank you for showing how easily it can be done. I tried doing this to my last car, an E36 which had wood. It came out ok but not great in some places, i suspect partly because the wrap i got was too cheap. I've got an E92 with brushed aluminium trim which is ok if a little boring. I'm so bored because of the lock down i might have another go but with some better quality vinyl thanks to you video 👍🏼
Wood trim in the 3 series just doesn't look right to me... Luckily (or unluckily, depending on who you are) I have the brushed aluminium interior, the matte finish and the fact it's real aluminum I feel just adds to the sporty feel of the car. However it is easily damaged and my drivers door trim has been heavily abused, as well as the trim right above the Idrive screen (someone stored their phone there or other odds and ends perhaps?) great DIY and personally I dig the wrap, different from the stereotypical carbon weave look people usually go for. Great informative vid, as always! Keep up the great work!
I have the brushed aluminum and I love it but you're spot on about easy to damage . I used a vent mount for my phone and it scratched up the trim below the air vent 😭
@@CarlosMartinez-tp3zl yeah it's very unforgiving, and if you don't live in Europe sourcing good replacements is expensive. $500 per side for just the front door trim...
You could easily fill and delete compartments with styrofoam and leaving the wrap over. And shaping the styrofoam to delete and hide a compartment completely.
Would have dug it if it was slightly darker. Its a bit too crazy of a pattern in an all black e90 interior with that level of contrast, then again I even dislike alu-trim so i guess im a bit picky
Yeah for what it's worth I have a super bright light shining on it. It looks a little darker in person. You can find similar matte wraps that are darker as well.
I want to see a video how u do retrofit cupholders on the dashboard. U will be the first guy who recorded it. I know this is possible, but i cant find any information about it... :D
Looks awesome, better than the traditional 4d carbons out there, all the boring piano blacks etc etc. Mine's all alcantara, but yours is a brave choice, and very well executed. PERSONALLY, I it very much
The work is amazing. Looks professional. Not a fan of any kind of CF wrap though. It always looks fake if you’ve seen and owned something with real CF. Covering stuff in CF is kind of ricer like now.
Did you have any problems slotting the aircon vents back in those holes with the Vinyl folded in at those areas? I saw from another RUclips that you won't be able to slot the vents back in perfectly because the Vinyl folds will get in the way of the locking fasteners.
Looks good. I am in the middle of wrapping my e93 with VVivid FCF in the matte finish. The texture of the film looks and feels amazing. I’m curious however, why you would use Windex instead of isopropyl alcohol? cleaning agents such as Windex could attack the paint or reduce the adhesive strength of the film.
One thing I do not like about gloss wraps is the orange peel look if gives. Did you happen to get that type of finish in the end? Otherwise looks awesome! Ive been wanting to do this in my Durango!
Awesome job. Not a fan of the pattern but it's not my car. You should wrap the ugly chrome trim on the outside of the doors. I'd love to know how to wrap around the mirrors.
Hey I already took care of that in my last video. I didn't wrap though, I changed the trim. If you watch the video before this you'll see what I'm talking about.
Looks great, I wanted to buy a black trim set, this looks like a cheaper solution thanks! I love your car wish it was stick though then it would be perfect ( in my opinion) keep the e90 vids coming!
You should have used the heat gun over the wrap once you had it all layed out and cut right .. so the glue would adhere better to the trim . If you don't do this .. sooner or later the wrap will peel back up on it ..
Bravo! Looks Awesome! I cant figure how I missed this video. Every time I saw your interior I was like when did he do that? I'm waiting on my wrap to be delivered today. Question: What the hell is forged carbon fiber? Thanks Brotha
You honestly have the best diy

Just wrapped my entire car with your instructions. Thank you very much keep up the videos
Hands down BEST interior wrap I’ve seen 😳
Can’t believe I found a video of the exact year I swapped my trim out for forged carbon 😳
completed mine today, ashtray top lid on my LCI was clipped together and came off and re-clipped back easily, so didn't had tonuse JB weld, the silver trim too came out easily, i used a pointed nail and gave a little hammer stroke from the back!!
All of a sudden I regret buying brushed aluminum steel. That pattern looks amazing.
That does actually look really good! Wasn’t sure I’d like it but refitted it looks awesome 👍🏼
Forged>traditional
Looks great!

Thanks man great video, appreciate the detail in which you described popping out the trim without damaging it
This is really cool, thanks for posting it.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I just ordered me some forge carbon wrap, will be doing this to my e92 next weekend 💪

I like it but I think the silver dates it so I’d make it black ideally
That's crazy... I JUST did this with left over Avery Gloss Black Metallic that I had used for my roof a while back! Lol Good shit man!
You have got a new follower from Dubai, the best DIY I have seen 👍🔥
Best e90 335i tutorials!!! Love your channel!!!
I plan on buying an e92 but it has the wood trim so I’ll definitely give this a try

Excellent video, was thinking about doing this to my E90. Thank's
Love the way this turned out. Can you please mention which one exactly you've purchased? And what sizes
Thanks in advance!
I really like it, dig it more than any other ones I have seen.
Would have dug it if it was slightly darker. Its a bit too crazy of a pattern in an all black e90 interior with that level of contrast, then again I even dislike alu-trim so i guess im a bit picky

@@VehicularDIY Yeah, white doctorlighting does alter the looks a bit ;P Im sure it looks awesome in natural light/nighttime
It looks great 👍 better than the wooden style which is like outdated. Very well done!
I want to see a video how u do retrofit cupholders on the dashboard. U will be the first guy who recorded it. I know this is possible, but i cant find any information about it... :D
Did you use the Avery wrap or the 3m wrap? Thank you.. looks dowp im ordering as soon as you reply...
Looks awesome, better than the traditional 4d carbons out there, all the boring piano blacks etc etc. Mine's all alcantara, but yours is a brave choice, and very well executed. PERSONALLY, I it very much
Do I need to disconnect the battery before taking off the electric connectors?
u did a good job ... i wanna do mine to gloss carbon fiber im just scared i might break some tabs
That looks mental, I'm definitely going to do this.
I think the forged carbon looks better in matte but the gloss is still dope
What size sheet did you buy it and do all the trim in your car like the dimensions?
You have the most monotone voice by good god you're videos are to the point and no nonsense. BZ to you. Does the forge carbon come matte?
I actually like the polished effect once it's on the piece. 👍 Great work!
Best explanation and installation video!!! Thanks!! This is going to help me a lot when I do my e92 in a few weeks 😁
Did you finish your 92 yet? If so do you have pictures of how it came out?
That looks amazing I have regular carbon fiber wrap on my e92 but I’m definitely considering redoing it with this stuff
The work is amazing. Looks professional. Not a fan of any kind of CF wrap though. It always looks fake if you’ve seen and owned something with real CF. Covering stuff in CF is kind of ricer like now.
Not a fan of the wrap but great instructions. I'll be using this video to replace my wooden trim soon.
Looks dope I like the forged carbon look👍
Looks badass as hell, nice work!
Try luxe forged carbon wrap it flashes and everything
Great tutorial
Love the steering wheel. Where is it from?
Looks amazing 😍
What exact options did you pick during checkout
how many stickers did you use?❤❤❤❤
Very clean bro i like it. Keep doing your thing!
Did you have any problems slotting the aircon vents back in those holes with the Vinyl folded in at those areas? I saw from another RUclips that you won't be able to slot the vents back in perfectly because the Vinyl folds will get in the way of the locking fasteners.
It’s leaps and bounds better than the wood look, but not my taste, reminds me of my kitchen counter top. Each to there own of course
great presentation. I have the exact same car so this is a god send. thanks
OH MY GOD WHAT THE HECK!!!! IT LOOKS SO GOOODDDD
Textured forged carbon wrap paper is so much better
Great wrap skills. Not my favorite look but crushes the wood trim.
Doing the same but with black matrix

Great work man!!!
Damn, nice job. What software do you use to edit vids? I like the flying info
I want to use the same material since its easy to work with but a different design, can you provide a link please?
And how many feet did you purchase to wrap the whole interior?
I did ist and i have Need 30cm x 3m
Nick Altmann awesome thanks i ended up buying a bit more then i did after this video just in case haha
I'm a wood guy but this looks nice
It looks so much better than the wood trim. Great job.
Very nice and a lot better than the wood print!
What brand did you use Avery or 3m?
Any other colors the website kinda hard to navigate. And will any wrap do? Or certain kind for interior ?
One thing I do not like about gloss wraps is the orange peel look if gives. Did you happen to get that type of finish in the end? Otherwise looks awesome! Ive been wanting to do this in my Durango!

nice film,nice work
I don't like wood trims, and certainly don't like "marble/tile" look too. And for carbonfiber, unless it's the real thing. Good diy regardless.
you did a good job man , it look nice
Awesome vid 👍 I was wondering what size or how much you ordered to wrap everything ?
I’m totally how many feet did you have to get to complete the entire car
looks amazing my friend
Great video man thanks!
Looks great, I wanted to buy a black trim set, this looks like a cheaper solution thanks! I love your car wish it was stick though then it would be perfect ( in my opinion) keep the e90 vids coming!
Ayeeee! Finally! Looks sick!
Just gotta update that gear knob 👌🏽
@@kennyb8412 he can wrap that aluminum part on the knob with the same wrap he did his interior.
Should’ve done the steering wheel plastic too!
You should have used the heat gun over the wrap once you had it all layed out and cut right .. so the glue would adhere better to the trim . If you don't do this .. sooner or later the wrap will peel back up on it ..
How much of it did you get buddy?
Nvm i see it lol
Great job, looking good.
if it had a bit of gold in it I think it would look awesome
where’d you get your steering wheel
How much did you use to wrap everything. Need an estimate of how much to get.
It's looks fantastic, will try to repeat)
Mmm im not sure about the forge carbon pattern, Id prefer the regular one. It looks like marble.
i think it looks great! good taste!
Looks fantastic
ur disconnect (-) battery to remove gear box trim wires?
Please advise which brand of vinyl wrap that is? I am in South Africa so can't order from the link. Is it 3M?
I love it boss❤❤❤
I love it, great work
Bravo! Looks Awesome! I cant figure how I missed this video. Every time I saw your interior I was like when did he do that? I'm waiting on my wrap to be delivered today.
Question: What the hell is forged carbon fiber?
Thanks Brotha
How many meters of wrap you bought to wrap the interior of your car?
how much do u recommend buying?
how much vinyl did you use? measurements
