    Greetings, Since Tacrolimus can cause cancer I’m wondering why my doctor dermatologist would recommend it for my skin and I am a cancer survivor!!!!
    Before watching this video, I just applied it to my face my neck and my ears but I also washed it off of my hands immediately and what I’m seeing that you were saying do not wash your hands immediately afterwards now what is a danger of that for me please give me an answer thank you Diana

    This has been prescribed to me. 0,03% but I'm afraid to take it as this is usually prescribed when others things are not working. (I've never been prescribed anything before) I've looked it up and it seems to be able to cause cancers or at the very least increase the risk. Should I not have been prescribed corticosteroids to try first before trying something like this?

      Vitiligo?

    • @Mcbuggler
      @Mcbuggler Год назад +2

      I was prescribed tacrolimus for my genital psoriasis. Let me tell you about my experience with tacrolimus, I used it for 5 years. When you use tacrolimus ointment all the time your body will build a dependency just like topical steroids. If you stop using that tacrolimus ointment, you'll get what's called Topical Steroid Withdrawal syndrome (TSW), I would look it up if I were you. When you stop using that tacrolimus, it's not just psoriasis that's appearing after a week or so, it's TSW syndrome.
      Now for my story. Luckily I was only using tacrolimus on my genitals, but it stopped being so effective after about 5 years. I would have to put more of it on, more often. I decided to stop using it, after about 1.5 weeks it got really bad and kept getting worse for a whole month. It was red, swollen, oozing, and scabby. It looked like my member belonged on a zombie, no exaggeration. It's been about 8 months since I've stopped using tacrolimus, and my member is back to where it was before I started using it. I'm trying non-medication methods for controlling my genital psoriasis now like I quit smoking and drinking and better diet. I'm noticing good improvements, honestly I think it was the cigarettes, even though I only smoked like 1 a day if that.
      The longer you stay on that tacrolimus ointment, the more your body is going to depend on it, the less effective it's going to be, and the worse the withdrawal is going to be when stop. I'm not a medical doctor, this isn't medical advice, just please do your own research. I'm only telling you this, because no one else will.

      @Mcbuggler Год назад

      @@RAJKUMARYADAV-ro7pc I'm not a doctor, so this isn't medical advice, but doctors really aren't going to explain the risks of tacrolimus. If you do use tacrolimus, I would only use it when you absolutely have to, and give it breaks. like use it for a week, take a month or two off, then use it again for a week. If you keep using it, just like any other drug you will build a tolerance and dependency on it, so be careful. I would try making lifestyle changes first, and any changes that don't involve drugs. Try changing your diet, quit smoking, cut back on drinking, all those things can contribute to psoriasis.

If i put it on before night the next morning it is still shiny and on the skin. Shall I put just a layer on top or first cleanse the skin? I am afraid rubbing with water or cleanser will make the skin more sensitive, not sure though. I can not speak to a derm in a short time..
