It's so great that Nishioka is willing to share these details of his serve with people. I don't see many active ATP or WTA players going into this level of detail about any of there strokes. Kudos to Yoshihito and Star Tennis Academy for bringing this type of content to the tennis-loving public. Cheers!
The more these guys ask detailed technical questions about where they put their weight, how they take the racquet back, how much they bend their knees, the more we find that good players generally don't think or over think about those small things. As Nishioka said in the beginning, he is just focusing on placing the balls in certain areas and having a high percentage go in. He's got a helluva good serve. Also interesting to hear how he watches and imitates other players. Many people are visual learners and perform by simply by having a certain image in their head.
I like his willingness to share his secrets to viewers. It looks like he’s thought about his strengths and weaknesses very much and tried to develop many weapons to beat the opponents. Hope to see him playing at a tour game more.
There is so much knowledge in your observations! I can't see nowhere else on the net such a fine analysis of every aspects of the technique! So interresting to hear Yoshihito talking about his height and how he manages his mooves according to, in a constant way to succeed. Your videos are the pure definition of what teaching tennis should be
Nishioka is so fun to watch. I really liked his Wimbledon match against Isner with the tight 5set game. Thank you for translating everything so that English viewers can enjoy these videos!
*No one in these comments can criticize Nishioka. You all are mere club players while he is a professional. His serve and groundstrokes, everything are much, much higher level than you. Please be smart and humble, you will win zero games from Nishioka!*
It’s funny how no one was in the first place but your arrogant self felt the need to say it. Also, you have no ground to call him good since you’re not pro, using your logic! Anyone, good or bad, can criticize anyone. Why can poor men criticize rich politicians? Because it is natural to do so. Also, criticism and calling someone bad are two totallly different things
Excellent video, I like the openess of Nishioka when he talks about the details from his serve!! When it's possible please interview him about forehand, backhand too!!
Great lesson, considering I too play left-handed. Would’ve wanted to know where Yoshihito releases the ball ... eye level? And how he holds the ball ... first three fingers? Keep it coming! Domo arigato.
Great serve for a little guy, But what l praise Nishioka more is how he plays very solid games both forehand & backhand that make the opponents frustrated.
Nice video, Excellent details. , I am 5.8, Nishiyoka you are my inspiration , I still dont get power and struggle to get wide serve. What racket does nishiyoka use and what are the specs
I am always curious about the trajectory of the ball for short players; whether to hit the ball slightly downward or parallel to the ground for fast serves.
A lot of lefties don't have great kick serves. Goran for example. Their slice to thr backhand is their most useful serve. For righties, we need to work on our kick serves to go to the backhand
Yoshihito, hi, I hope you can read this message or the people behind this video. We are a brand also that helps athlete to improve their tennis skills. This started by two brothers who used to play ITF tournaments internationally. In several tournaments we knew you Yoshihito, you used to play with your nintendo disctrated by that. We both talked to you. Now I would like to ask you if you know tennis player from your country or other countries who are good and good people who wants to study in USA Grace College. We are a NAIA Top 16th ranked in the nation. NAIA division 1. Our players are UTR 12, 11.5, 11s, 10s. We are lookikg to make the team stronger. Sonif you have good players, please let me know. We need players 11 UTR to 13. 11 UTR could be a 300 junior ITF. An UTR 12 around 150 and less. UTR 13 is a top 50 ITF junior. Thank you if you or other academies know about this spread the word please. Grace College offers a good opportunity in the athletics field and academics. More details will be given after to getnin contact with the player. Thank you.
like who? i mean the best serve is probably ivo... but it's unlikely i'll have a growth spurt to close to 7' any time soon... what i love about this guy, is that he's short (like me), and has less margin so has to have very good technique. also love that he doesn't serve huge (ie. dosn't have super fast twitch speed like kyrgios)... so with margin speed (eg. 180-200kmh), he provides insights on how he uses a "weak" serve and make it work...
@@darnellcaballes Yeah but i am not super tall and super tall, i would get tips from Federer becouse he is not super tall but he has a great serve and motion
This is the most stupid thing I ve Heard- in a long time... the skill difference between federer and nishioka compared to nishioka and you is pretty much irrelevant.. pretty arrogant
@@forgotmyname2462 Why dont you say something that is not stupid? I said that he has a bad serve. I would get tips from Federer becouse he is perfection in serve for me
Thank you for watching our video. We will resume updating from July! Please subscribe and wait! Thank you from Japan.

Nishioka is one of my favorite players. I always cheer for him! Incredible lesson. (I´m a lefty too)

You would think that'd be a no brainer. Sad you even had to explain the obvious.
All respect to Mr. Suzuki as he gave Federer a great challenge at AO -- ruclips.net/video/-CgYAkanDC8/видео.html
Especially considering his physique, his achievement is truely phenomenal.

Best video on youtube on the serve. So technical too. Just watched Nishioka take out John Isner at Wimbledon.
This is so great to have a current ATP pro share his experience. Looking forward to new videos!
I like these details and questions by world class players.

A good serve will be the initial capital for tennis players to get points and win the match. From fans tenis Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
It is an open racket face when he hits the ball Arigato Gozaimasu very funny very good I enjoyed very much

He is little compared to most of ATP players, but I praise him.
So literally you misunderstood me.

Great insight brilliant video
he is no 37 in the world now. i think he might be able to crack into top 30 soon
the sound effects when their names came up killed me lol!
This is a great channel for lesson, why don't you update it so often? ( I miss Kiwa-chan ☹️)
You guys are good! Greetings from Florida!
Solid serves...good captions to help understand Japanese
Awesome! Please do some videos about foreground strikes! Domo arigato
Awesome
13:36 for your reference
great lesson..great yoshihoto
Holyshit those spin serves. That's when you realise how massive the gap is between him and an average player.
It’s the racket and the strings that allow the serve to go in.
Than you

great vid-
Wow, i like his shallow knee bend, as i myself don't have deep knee bend. Turns out some pros out there also do that too 😀
great tips THANX

Good content thank you.
Hi Kiwa how are you doing I hope you are okay and well how is your tennis coaching going in these days and I am new person on your channel
What ATP Pro shares is the real.
Please make slow motion
I'm surprised Nishioka didn't do kick serve well. I thought that is something he can definitely learn, unless he has some shoulder or torso injuries?

He just beat Isner at Wimbledon!!!!!!!!🐲
His groundstrokes r not gd. His weapon is his height on serve.
Why does he remind me of Ryoma
200 kmph is not fast.... wow.
pitty Nishioka double faults to lose so many matches. Prefer Sugita Serve anyday.
Serve Technique by a player who barely hits any aces in his matches Lmao
I'm sure Nadal hits a lot
He is a bad server i personaly wouldnt take any tips from him becouse there are much better servers in the world almost any other player
