This is Kyrgios rebirth after the Wimbledon final he realized his true potential and he is applying dedication and motivation to his game and these are the results, we all knew that and for years we hoped his breakout that is finally is happening. Hope he can be consistent and make us enjoy the sport even more. Good luck for the upcoming tournaments ( better pull out from Montreal he played so many matches)
bro realized it before wimbledon
It happened way before Wimbledon. It probably happened after he tasted success in Aus Open doubles. His level and fitness since then has been much higher.
dont worry Octopus will pull him out in potential round 2 in Montreal
So this is what I have noticed: No wasting energy venting at the crowd/umpire for long periods, very few underarm serves, actually hitting through his BH finally, lots of "lets go" when before he acted like he didn't give care either way. Put an opponent to the sword today who had big scalps under his belt. Very impressive Nick. Long may it continue.
He's in love, he quit playing COD and pokemon and started to work hard.
All the focus will be on nick but massive credit to Nishioka on an amazing week- he’s a great example of a guy not having the most talent absolutely maximising everything he has
I agree. I just want to add that everyone in the top 300 have insane talent compared to like 99.999% of tennis players. However, when you compare someone like nishioka to sinner or alcaraz, it makes it seem like he possesses less talent than what he actually has.
Well said bud. When people think little of guys playing futures events we forget they would destroy 99.9% of guys, they’re great players!
He’s really hindered by his height. Plus he’s not as great at defense like Diego
@Roy Santiago and yet he’s reached a 500 final despite those difficulties. Exactly my point
he has similar game to nishi and djoko and considering that both of those are more of a hardworkers than talents it makes sense and its worth pointing out that the level he played this week could produce a masters win if he doesnt face the big guns with great form along the way. Unfortunately this week he faced that player and it was only "atp500"
This was the first tennis match I've ever been to!! Been watching Tennis for 4 years now ever since I became disabled and am home all day watching TV. I fell in love with Kyrgios at 2019 Citi Open and been watching his career ever since. Great first match to go to!!!
Awesome, must’ve been great. You’ve got a great hometown tournament there!
God's speed and light. Tennis is a great sport and I hope it continues to bring you joy.
nice, glad to have you in the world of tennis!
Pity hes a bellend
Same here, I had a great time watching this match and seeing one of my favorite players win
At his best, it really feels as though Kyrgios is simply toying with his opponent. Just that sense of calm (during the point, not between them), not forcing the pace, waiting for the right time and suddenly BAM 90+ mph forehand or a perfect dropshot. So excited to be seeing this Nick renaissance in 2022, and hoping he can make another deep run at the US Open.
I Jesus Know ybbmj
regardless of his words between points he looked entirely locked. He gave absolutely nothing to his opponents to take advantage of and is just so skilled. He looks in form now, hopefully he can show like this at the US open.
Its easy to Toy with someone who isn't a top 50 player
yeah.. the toying which he has been facing all these years..
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 He beat Brooksby, De Minaur, Khachanov, Evans and Rublev to make that final... good job in trying to undermine the achievements of both finalists...
Congratulations Nick!!!!
I love Yoshi’s style of play! I hope Yoshi can become stronger💪
I am always cheering for you from Japan.
頑張れ西岡良仁選手!
Congrats to Kyrgios! The Wimbledon final may have been the turning point in his career. Now he has to play the doubles final. Hoping he wins that too!
Fair point, but Kyrgios only made a slam final because:
- Russians were banned(Med, Rublev)
- Notable players withdrew because of covid(Cilic, Berrettini, RBA)
- Semifinal walkover
There is no way in heck that Kyrgios makes a slam final otherwise.
@@jacobschmidt2709 Krygios is better then meddy on grass though, not only that but the match he had with Djokovic was pretty close outside the 2nd set.
@@jacobschmidt2709 But none of that is on Kyrgios. Players get injured and sick all of the time. It’s just part of the game.
@@jacobschmidt2709 holy forgot Nadal didn’t play! Anyways he bested too 5 doesn’t that mean that he can beat other players too? What’s your point tho like, he beat the big 3 in his career is there any other thing that didn’t qualify to him to get into a grand slam final?
@@jacobschmidt2709 He can only play opponents on the other side of the net. He doesn't get to pick & choose them you know.
What did you want him to do, lose early because of the circumstances?
His maturity is showing clearly. The Nick of previous years would have fallen over well before the results he has reached this year.
Great week Nishioka! I remember seeing you on youtube and have been a fan ever since (star struck) love your work big Nish.
That video was really great! Nick Kyrgios is a tennis god who can do no wrong. I was able to travel to multiple countries in a year thanks to the great deals I got with Mighty ❤️ Travels 🦶🏼 Premium.
This version of Nick Kyrgios is the best version of himself. Hard for even the best in the world to play if he's in the zone. His newfound maturity mixed with his playful ignorance for certain tennis tradition makes for a different, yet fun experience.
I'm hoping he can keep this up for a while. He can be in the top 10 by the end of the year then.
If it weren't for the Russian Belarusian thing he probably would be
@@joshmooy2570 yup, but you can also get there through regular tournament play if you push hard enough
@@joshmooy2570 #15 if Wimby points were given.
@@bigrobsydney close enough lol
Tricky Nick again did his magic on the court. Congrats. Best of luck in your future tournaments.
Yoshi, Yoshi, Yoshi, Yoshi!!!! He definitely has been feeling it lately. Nick is too powerful.
@Rafa undisputed Goat How about Tiafoe? Can he do something...
Well! Guess so!
Very surprised, and impressed, by Kyrgios! I can't put my finger on what has changed about him, but it's definitely for the better! 💪💪 Nishioka has also been working hard, and the results are playing off big time. He's played very well here! Proud of them both!
Congratulations to Kyrgios on the win and Yoshi on a great week. Best wishes ahead 👍🏽
As a D.C. native, happy to call Kyrgios the Citi Open champ. He’s our home town hero. 🥳
Don't forget where he comes from ya dog. He isn't a yank
good to see the crowds getting around him outside of aus. one of the most fun sporting experiences watching him
@@bk2932 he gets full crowds worldwide.
@@ronita6917 ya don’t say? 🤦♂️ yeah, I know that. I know very well where he’s from. He’s become a crowd favorite at the Citi, do you follow tennis?
Congratulations to Nick Kyrgios for his victory he has matured recently in his state of mind on the tennis courts and he can potentially be a favourite to win at the US Open tournament When he is in this form he is a hard to stop he is also entertaining yaaa
First time saw Nick SMILE when he lifts the trophy! So good to see😁
Washingont is a beautiful city
Great win. Nick can simply do things others tennis players can't. So much fun to watch.
Djokovic and Kyrgios currently in best shape among mens tennis
Sinner still plays well
Nick is a fckn' rockstar... respect to Nishioka for reaching up to the final
Kyrgios in his best!Well done,Nick! He kept the momentum from Wimbledon! If he continues this form, will be a big gun in US open!Kudos!
So happy for nick ,2022 is good year .
kyrgios looks fitter than ever. Not a massive tennis fan but the way he hits the ball and plays is great to watch.
I can see nick now rising right to the top. Great to see !!!!
Someone's hungry to compete!!! AMAZING!!! The reaction at the end!!! Nick is someone who wants it!!! What a drive volley angle....
Nick is like a student who goes about enjoying his life while other students are studying hard for exams, staying at the library for long hours, hiring private tutors etc, but Nick outperforms them despite all that hard work. Bravo Nick 👏
great analogy
This true to an extent, but I think Nick puts in a lot of work behind closed doors.
Wow this was even more one-sided than I expected. Kyrgios could've probably bageled the 2nd set if he really tried
西岡お疲れさま!
良い試合だった
Yes. The japanese player made a such fantastic job.
Also he stopped behaving like a crazy chunk, which is very nice!!!
All our thoughts below on Nick's incredible run to the title in Washington last week 🏆⬇

Im genuinely happy for Nick Kyrgios
As a tennis fan, I just want to see how good he can be with his head right. I think we might be heading in the right direction.
Amazing Nick. Bravo.
Wimbledon final was like a reborn for Kyrgios
Kyrgios the enigma has finally come of age...
He has TOO much talent to be wasted.
Every genius has a crazy side to their personality but hopefully now, he has found that balance.
Keep going man
Some of the best tennis of the year
After his grand slam final, it’s as if Nick believes himself to be better than his opponent. And that, in turn, makes him play better than his opponents! Great confidence, angles, depth, and finishing points.
I agree with most of what you say but Kyrgios only made a slam final because:
- Russians were banned(Med, Rublev)
- Notable players withdrew because of covid(Cilic, Berrettini, RBA)
- Semifinal walkover
There is no way in heck that Kyrgios makes a slam final otherwise.
@@jacobschmidt2709 I actually agree with you. His chances are very slim. But regardless of how undeserved it was, I think he's playing better now that he made one, would you agree?
@@TheJJZeeman Absolutely. As long as he stays dedicated, mentally focused and works on his fitness issues, he can definitely make more slam finals.
Nick definitely deserved to win at Washingont 🙏
Med vs Nick will be great match definitely.
Nick’s game this year is better than I’ve ever seen it. I hope it really pushes him past his mental roadblocks and drives him to what we all thought he would be capable of.
The Washingont tournament is such a spectacle!
His forehand is so amazing. Idk why he does those off balance super top spin heavy slow shots all the time. He’s so good at stepping in and ripping the forehand.
It's a rally ball. You can't hit winners every shot, have to wait for the right moment to step in and rip.
He realised his potential
Enhorabuena a Niky y sobre todo a su equipo, que no sé cómo ha conseguido sacar lo mejor de éste gran tenista y lo que es más difícil; dar constancia y temple en los momentos importantes del juego!! Mis felicitaciones!!
@Rafa undisputed Goat How Rafa doesn't win US open you're going to lack places to hide...😉
@Rafa undisputed Goat I hope you're right!!
hei Tennis TV, will you also load double final kyrgios \ sock ?
Incredible video!
Great player to watch. Big ups to you Nick
he wins more if he doesn't lose his temper. stay focused man. he has definitely potential. keep it up Nick
Good highlights. Thank you.
Even though Nick has outburst they are not like his old ones they are much more about holding himself to a higher standard rather than something that he doesn’t control over. I love the new Kyrigois and I believe he’s going to go far in the US Open and Masters with his elevated game and better mentality.
He just gotta smile more n appreciate opponents
yayyy nick my fav 2022 player
@ 5:23 -> Commentators: “Look at that down-the-line shot”
Me: *go birdie 🦅 fly away 🦅
Please i wanna see quarterfinals of finals of Tsitsipas vs Medvedev, Kyrgios vs Nadal, Thiem vs Zverev and Alcaraz vs Sinner. Lets fucking go!
ah yes my favorite city, washingont
Nick reminds me of Will from Good Will Hunting. Brilliant, and carrying around mental baggage. Under achieving UNTIL he gets the help he needed, and then soared like an eagle. Truly hope this continues forever.
Good to see someone pull their head out. Keep it going, bro!
good to see kyrgios righting the ship this season, this is looking like his most consistent one results-wise so far both in singles and doubles
one of the best athlete ever !!!!
Nicks backhand is just killer.
I would love to see Nick to win US open this year. He deserves it.
Since the Australian Open he has started to be a lot more focused, Wimbledon proved it, and this title confirms it. He was focused, rather calm, determined... We like that performing Nick Kyrgios... Credit to his staff and girlfriend who seem to ground him, calm him a bit... When he shouts, it's actually because he cares, which wasn't always the case...
@Rafa undisputed Goat well... I hope not🤣. I just hope Djokovic will be able to play for a start... But I see Medvedev keeping his title...
@Rafa undisputed Goat different surface...
Talent isn't everything. With more work and dedication to this sport Nick would already have at least 1 or 2 slams easily. I hope he wins the US.
@Rafa undisputed Goat yes i think so, even more now knowing that Djokovic will probably be banned of US Open. However, I'd like to see Nick winning it.
Kyrgios buenas cualidades y felicidades 🏆👌‼️‼️
First time i've seen him smile at a trophy presentation
Never heard of a "bunt drop shot" before, but The Big K used it pretty nicely today.
Happy for Nick, he deserves it
Vamos Nick, Muchísima Magicccc
Good battle.
At 6:18 holy shit !! beautiful half volley
Drive volley
congrats to kyrgios for winning Washingont 2022!
Hopefully Kyrgios can build on this win.
has he got his head back straight? who knows, he looks more dedicated and that's a good sign.
Enjoyed it!
The BEST !
Beautiful
Great video
Really happy for kyrgios
Felicitari!
I think this is why rublev went out so easily. The last time he played kyrgios he was absolutely embarrassed.
Un plus para nishioka, espero siga en la misma senda y kirgyos tuvo que haber jugado al 50% , us open te espera
Thata boy, Nick!!!! Well done
Washington*
I have said this many times: should every tennis player ever play on his absolute best, none would beat Kyrgios at his absolute best.
Nick ya te merecías un trofeo..!!
where is the doubles highlights?
I surely think that they have improved their mentality
The problem with Nishioka is that he hits too much topspin on his groundstrokes (which isn't ideal on a hard court) and not to mention his groundstrokes aren't strong either. Kyrgios just puts the ball away with his strong flat shots 😂
Grear win, Congratulation, but it should be against nadal or Djokovic.
1:21 night mode
西岡強かったな
Jeez he won it.
Washingont?
You had ONE job...
Credit to Nishoka for making his first final at a 500 level. He may have been exhausted after having played so many tough close matches. He had little gas left in him, but still Krygios played amazing and deserves to win. Nishioka is likely to rise into the top 60 in the latest ranking. All that matters to him from now on is whether he can back up this result with another nice run in his next tournament. I don't know if he's entering Montreal. I doubt it as he would have had to go through the qualies to get to the main draw with his ranking as of last week. Having reached the finals here, he wouldn't have time to fly to Canada and play the qualies. Now he's ranked high enough to get a DA into Cincinatti, where I hope he will gain addition points and hopefullu he will record his highest ranking in his career there. Go, Yoshihito Nishikori!
Can you make more videos please
yes washingont
Dangerous trophy design but cool design.
If he take tennis seriously, he can win à slam
I am so thrilled Nick came through. Maybe all the doubters and naysayers will sit up and take note. Stop nailing his character (which is no different to several top players who were also full of it to begin with) and watch his game. This guy has the game. He is refreshing, progressive and entertaining. Keeps you wanting more. Just what tennis needs. AND he is vaccinated! Showing respect. Yet the establishment all flop around those who dictate the terms and are not.
Go Nick...well done!
Buen partido
