This is Kyrgios rebirth after the Wimbledon final he realized his true potential and he is applying dedication and motivation to his game and these are the results, we all knew that and for years we hoped his breakout that is finally is happening. Hope he can be consistent and make us enjoy the sport even more. Good luck for the upcoming tournaments ( better pull out from Montreal he played so many matches)

So this is what I have noticed: No wasting energy venting at the crowd/umpire for long periods, very few underarm serves, actually hitting through his BH finally, lots of "lets go" when before he acted like he didn't give care either way. Put an opponent to the sword today who had big scalps under his belt. Very impressive Nick. Long may it continue.

I agree. I just want to add that everyone in the top 300 have insane talent compared to like 99.999% of tennis players. However, when you compare someone like nishioka to sinner or alcaraz, it makes it seem like he possesses less talent than what he actually has.

he has similar game to nishi and djoko and considering that both of those are more of a hardworkers than talents it makes sense and its worth pointing out that the level he played this week could produce a masters win if he doesnt face the big guns with great form along the way. Unfortunately this week he faced that player and it was only "atp500"

At his best, it really feels as though Kyrgios is simply toying with his opponent. Just that sense of calm (during the point, not between them), not forcing the pace, waiting for the right time and suddenly BAM 90+ mph forehand or a perfect dropshot. So excited to be seeing this Nick renaissance in 2022, and hoping he can make another deep run at the US Open.

I think this is why rublev went out so easily. The last time he played kyrgios he was absolutely embarrassed.

I have said this many times: should every tennis player ever play on his absolute best, none would beat Kyrgios at his absolute best.

The problem with Nishioka is that he hits too much topspin on his groundstrokes (which isn't ideal on a hard court) and not to mention his groundstrokes aren't strong either. Kyrgios just puts the ball away with his strong flat shots 😂

Credit to Nishoka for making his first final at a 500 level. He may have been exhausted after having played so many tough close matches. He had little gas left in him, but still Krygios played amazing and deserves to win. Nishioka is likely to rise into the top 60 in the latest ranking. All that matters to him from now on is whether he can back up this result with another nice run in his next tournament. I don't know if he's entering Montreal. I doubt it as he would have had to go through the qualies to get to the main draw with his ranking as of last week. Having reached the finals here, he wouldn't have time to fly to Canada and play the qualies. Now he's ranked high enough to get a DA into Cincinatti, where I hope he will gain addition points and hopefullu he will record his highest ranking in his career there. Go, Yoshihito Nishikori!

I am so thrilled Nick came through. Maybe all the doubters and naysayers will sit up and take note. Stop nailing his character (which is no different to several top players who were also full of it to begin with) and watch his game. This guy has the game. He is refreshing, progressive and entertaining. Keeps you wanting more. Just what tennis needs. AND he is vaccinated! Showing respect. Yet the establishment all flop around those who dictate the terms and are not.
    Go Nick...well done!
