If you caught nick in a respected environment I'd imagine he'd be someone to look up to, unfortunately he got used up pretty good.
What a fun fight 👊 Nick always brings that killer pace and same amazing boxing to pair with that killer ground game. Wish I'd gotten to see him in the cage more the last 5 yrs
I love that nick did the light taps and then sneaks in heavy shots the opponent seems to think he can open up because it's not dealing to much damage then sneaks in a heavy shot prime nick would've gave a lot of people problems in today's ufc roster.
He's not tapping, bro. It only LOOKS like he's punching softly. He has lanky arms. His punches have "whip" and leverage to them. Don't let your eyes fool you.
So many things you see Conor McGregor did later that Diaz was doing during his reign. From the body twisting conventional while mid torso down stay southpaw to the shoulder uppercuts. I think the reason Nate and Conor hate each other is because he's either Nate's little brother by blood or he is Nate's little nephew

I said it a second ago but I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in their contract that made them unable to protect their face.
Every round nick bleeds from the face, he gets an extra 1000$ type thing.he wad a fucking artist in his work, nick; I just never believe he'd ever be champion in ufc because they would bring in a guy from fucking Russia to Come knock nick out.if he started protecting his face he would've gone miles further...but he didn't and for whatever reason I hope it's worth it. If you caught nick in a respected environment I'd imagine he'd be someone to look up to, unfortunately he got used up pretty good.
Lmao Diaz legit envisions a little punching bag where his opponents head is and just tap tap taps at it
What a fun fight 👊 Nick always brings that killer pace and same amazing boxing to pair with that killer ground game. Wish I'd gotten to see him in the cage more the last 5 yrs
3:43 "this is where Diaz likes to be" lmao.
Seriously like what😂
@@atg4005 Guess he knows something about Nick that we don't!
3:06 The face Nick gave Scott was hilarious. 🤣🤣
And got lowkey rocked seconds later
So many things you see Conor McGregor did later that Diaz was doing during his reign. From the body twisting conventional while mid torso down stay southpaw to the shoulder uppercuts. I think the reason Nate and Conor hate each other is because he's either Nate's little brother by blood or he is Nate's little nephew
I have no what you try to say
It always looks like Diaz is fighting in slow motion! Love him! He’s the type that starts in a street fight and your like what the fuck is this dude doing, and then lays the other guy out quick! 😅
The quick snap punch leaves a sting and is best for accuracy as well as preventing damage to your hands
einer seiner besten fight´s!!!! nick einfach legende
Nicks punches were one of a kind
There are no fighters like the Diaz brothers. They're very unique and entertaining fighters
The Diaz brothers' skill is just incredible. I wish they could get in a doubles league! Double Dragon hahaha
I love the lil shit like Diaz throwing smiths legs away after round 1, never a dull moment lol 😂
@0:11 first exchange, already a big right hand counter....Beginning of the end.
Nick's boxing is from another planet.
Sat 5th row for this, Nick Diaz is real fighter. So awesome
nick was piecing old boy up for 11 minutes. amazing boxing by the both the diaz Brothers
Smith should try and block those shots. Lol. Just eating them!🤣
One of many Diaz fights, where he gives a master class in boxing 🥊
Have to say. Nick / NATE are my brothers but Scott Smith has all my RESPECT. Loved watching him. Absolute warrior. His family/ kids should be damb proud. Love you bro. Total warrior
How TF are they your brothers I seriously doubt they know you exist. Please stop with your weird fantasy relationship you don't have with the Diaz brothers it's fuckin weird
End of round 2 Smith's corner could have thrown in the towel, but I know nobody generally does that.
I felt kind of sorry for Smith the look on his face at 15:15.
@John Smith Yes totally. Thing was, in this fight, it was the body shots that had him laid out in the end. Scott's chin was a secondary factor.
As well, people say Nick was slow, but regardless the shear volume and accuracy, plus going for large amounts of heavy body shots. Combined with the grappling and endurance, plus, talk about a chin. Man, Nick was the main fighter that got me into MMA.
"Nice crisp right hand by Smith! Another one!"
As Smith got wobbled lmao
OMG I thought Nate had the most accurate punches ever but Nick was just bopping that 4head
Nick was truly a beast of a fighter. And this a good showcase of his talents against a very game opponent.
They bang on about the gracies, did u forget about the gracie hunter? Took them out fighting there rules, lost to lost until gracie done the drug test.
I am crying laughing at Smith being diddy-bopp'd in the forehead for 15sec straight. Like DAAAYUM homie move ya head, fight back SOMETHING lmao
7:10 to 8:10 Scott got hit with like 40-50 shots
Both nick and Nate look like they are fighting in slow motion... despite this they always do a great job lol
Miss Nick
7:38😂😂bro punching his head like a punching bag
15:24 black nail polish😂 that's why he lost
Bro my sister just said Scott was chicken walking 😂I’m dead
I remember watching strikeforce just to watch the GOAT Nick Diaz, such an entertaining fighter.
No interviews, no press conferences, no reporters asking you dumb questions,
that's why nick was one the best fighters in the strikeforce
Happen in St. Louis Mo..
This was still when most people disliked Diaz, said he was bad for the sport yada yada yada..
I was born in Stockton so I was a Diaz fan from day 1.
I was at this fight live, and I remember people in my section were against Diaz at the start of the night. I was talking him up all night, talking about his combos and cardio, and how he can do it ALL DAY.. By the time he came out and started fighting, I had everyone around me rooting for Diaz, and man did he deliver! I was actually the one starting the Diaz chants, everyone around me started joining in... What an awesome night this was!
I never really appreciated him and Nate at the time but they were never in a boring fight and gave us a lot of entertainment thanks to both
lmfao "There's the power by Scott Smith"
Diaz: "lolwut"
3:07 just growling at him x)
Thumbnail cracks me up. Nick's stance looks like that of a kid on Halloween. "RAWRRR!!!!"
If I was in the business, I would make a movie about Nick Diaz.
16:30 Scott Smith never saw it coming. Nobody has ever been submitted with this move - the rare “bar arm choke“ 😂
Nick wanted to box Roy Jones Jr..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I never liked either of the Diaz brothers. The way they showboat and taunt their opponents is straight up disrespectful and a mockery of mma.
Loved how he pieced him up the whole fight then finished it with his jujitsu a true mma artist but Smith has hella heart he was not going out without a fight
Love both Nick and Nate! Hard work rewarded!! Legends
Nick & Nate brothers, legends, makers of combat sports what it is today!
Nick is FAR from the BADGUY. He’s a GOOD GUY FIGHTING FOR GOODGUYS! I love Nick and Nate. My two favorites in this brutal game
Absolutely .. very misunderstood
4:27 is straight out of a movie lmao
Love Diaz as much as the other guy but watching these old fights you can really see how much the sport has evolved.
This version of Diaz has pretty much no chance against any 170 top 10 fighter. He’d get his legs chopped off and brutalized in the clinch.
This is the fight that made me love nick diaz he had just won two fights and this was a month or so after his previous fight and he just backed up all he said he would do
One of the best fights I've seen in the sport honestly
Man, that whole second round I was waiting to his Smiths corner yell, *“move your head away from his fists!!!!!”* Wtf was he doing?! 😂
Nick is one of the best boxers in all of mma history!! No one puts combos together like he did, he was workin dude like a heavy bag!!
Underrated Shoulder strike 2:53
4:29 diaz baiting him after that brutal leg kick is crazy
That 5 year suspension is the best thing that ever happened to Nick Diaz’s brain.
Nick put that man through hell. I can't imagine what Scott felt like with his entire body aching as he dragged himself to his stool on all fours. True Warriors. Nick Diaz Army!
