One of my favourite thing about khajiit lore is some of their descriptions. Alkosh - His general description is that he's "a really big cat" Mara - The Mother Cat Merrunz - Described as an eternal kitten which is why he has a tendency to destroy. S'rendarr - The Runt Sheggorath - Skooma Cat Also just to add to it they have a mortal they venerate as a god dues to his exploits. Rajhin The Footpad / The Silent Walker Reported to have been so skilled a thief he stole a tattoo from the back of an empress's neck while she slept.
S'rendarr and Stendar are both cast-offs of the corpse-god of mercy, but Stendar isn't S'rendarr. Just like auri-el and akatosh (and alduin) are both Aka, the time dragon, but auri-el and akatosh aren't the same.
I love Khajiit lore, because it's really interesting and nobody else seems to care about explaining what is going on with them. They have this deep connection with moons and Nirn, but they are mostly just overlooked. And for the most I hate people who are putting Khajiits and Argonians into the same box.
Khajiits and Argonians are both classified as Beasts, which is why they are put in the same box. The other races would be put either under the category of Men or Mer(elves).
+Repub - kun you don't understand what he means, what he is saying is that the beast races are overlooked when they shouldn't be and having so much potential being unused is sad.
Good lore video, as ever. Although I would like give a minor point of critique this time, if you don't mind. I experienced a miss match between the video and the sound. Usually your lore videos (as far as I have seen so far, that is) show you/your avatar walking around in Skyrim without much going on, showing off the landscape. Which fits your story. It emphasizes your story. Just like the music; it is noticable, but it doesn't grap the attention away from the story. Now I have been watching you play several rounds of Legends as I listened, which splits my attention. I noticed myself thinking about the cards you played and the rational behind that, whilest I tuned in to listen about the lore behind the creation about the Khajits.
I was actually afraid this might be the case, and i grew a little self conscious in my decision to try using Elder Scrolls Legends for the video. Thanks for the input!
Alex Cole Doesn't matter... I can come up with a word right now, and if i say the word is the same in plural and singular, then its so. The khajiit and everyone else in the games uses khajiit to refer to both a single khajiit, and a group, and the entire race, with the exception of "Khajiiti" being used to refer to their culture... therefore khajiit is the "proper" plural.
He looks it all up and actually gets a small portion every video wrong. Also he is moderately biased. Still better then some RUclipsrs that try what he does.
+Zeivon Bradshaw (SpicedGaming) What portion was wrong this video? Also who do you thinks better? I've recently got a lot more into lore and want to find good Tubers lol so far he's my favorite.
this is why I love bethesda games. the lore is so convoluted complex and in depth. the lore brings you into the games and makes them more fun because you can kinda understand the world you're exploring and immerse yourself into the game
So much love for these educational lore commentaries, love listening while playing really makes me appreciate all aspects of the game, please make more!!!!
I love the videos where you ramble about the lore. I usually listen to these whenever I'm playing Skyrim, ESO, or generally any other TES games. It's great to learn more about the lore of the endlessly intriguing Elder Scrolls universe.
You could always return the favor and use elf and human pelts and make leather for your caravan tents. They will think twice before attacking your camp. :P
Nirn IS alive. it has a literal and a metaphorical heart, the heart of Lorkhan. "This heart is the heart of the world, for one was made to satisfy the other". Also, the Khajiit believe in a god called Nirni, or goddess i should say, Nirn has its own will apparently according to the khajiit since the moment azura changed the elves that they used to be into what they are now, nirni basically threw a fit and changed their land into a desert.
Finally, a respectful discussion of the Khajit, their origins and beliefs, without you once saying "cat people, that's weird" and dismissing them out of hand. The Khajit do have a beautiful culture, as do the Argonians, but a lot of people don't pay attention to them because they are not human-looking enough, I guess
Can't wait for thegame that'll finally take place in Eslweyr, the Khajiit are my favorite race in TES. I also wonder if we're ever going to get to play as the other bipedal/humanoid sub-breeds of Khajiit? In the first 2 games you played as Ohmes and Ohmes-raht, Morrowind and the Suthay-raht, and in Oblivion and Skyrim is was the Cathay-Raht. I'd like to be able to play as the Tojay-raht or Pahmar-raht. The Argonians also have a lot of "breeds" as well depending on how much Hist sap they were fed when they were young. Some almost look human or elven while others could look like bipedal crocodiles, and everything in between. Who else if for multiple Khajiit and Argonian breeds in TES6?
Rhexx, i have to tell you, your videos make me the happiest person alive, my life has changed a LOT thx to it, i decided to start my channel, im spanish by the way, but i started my channel beeing inspired of your lore videos, i do lore but in spanish, so now i have one of the channels with best lore videos of all spain. Before i had this chanel, i thot i wasnt able to do anything with my life, and that i wast good at almost anything, but you showed me a new way to prove myself that i can do things. So i tell you, thx MrRhexx, been following you since the High Hrothgar vid
The Khajiits are now one of my favourite races just from that backstory to the world. I always liked them but that story is so much more interesting than the others to me. Plus, bonus points for baby making.
I know a lot of people who have never played Skyrim or any Elder Scrolls games and others who dislike them. I honestly think they are great, but even if you don't like the game itself one has to appreciate the immense amount of lore and story behind the series.
I think some of human skepticism towards Daedra comes from the Ayelids. They openly worshiped Daedra, and they enslaved humans. Also, if Azura is so important to the Khajiit, how come she's not part of their pantheon in the same way she is in the Dunmer pantheon? Or is she?
She is. Dunmer, at least before the whole Tribunal thing, placed Azura as one of the most important Daedra. But Azura helped the Khajiit by tying their physical form to the moons, while Azura helped the Dunmer/Chimer by teaching them to be different from Altmer, but at the same time her position is knocked down a bit because she sometimes allies with Molag Bal, the King of Rape.
Ok, but the Khajiit revere Azura in the same (or at least similar) manner that the Dunmer do? And I mean after the fall of the Tribunal of course when the Anticipations became the Reclamations. It just seems the Khajiit faith is never as explicit as the Dunmer faith. It's almost impossible to miss their reverence of Azura because in games like Skyrim they even shout "Azura curse you!" and they've built massive shrines to her. Meanwhile the Khajiit only ever talk about the moons.
I love these videos, I absolutely love how complex the lore is behind TES, I love how there is a bit left out of each religious belief, and there is something true in each religion that isn't in others. I also love how if you pay attention the behaviors of people and events are very centered around as far back as the origins of the universe.
It was my understanding that the only difference between the Aedra and Daedra was that the Aedra were involved in the creation of Mundus and the Daedra weren't. The mortals seem to see the Aedra as agents of order and static and the Daedra as agents of chaos and change. But I thought that that distinction only made sense from the limited perspective of a mortal living in Mundus. It's one that's admittedly helped by the fact that the Aedra got themselves trapped in Mundus by giving too much of their energy to create Nirn, and now have a vested interest in it's continued existence. But I thought that before the creation of Mundus that there pretty much was no distinction between the two groups.
I can't help but love anything khajiit (I always play as one) since the moons change their height and look. Like how tall/short or what type of khajiit they'd be. Sabercats are a type of Khajiit born a certain moon phase and have changed BECAUSE of the moons, so now knowing more about their lore kinda helps more with this
These videos are beautiful. This is exactly what the fandom needs. Thank you for all your time and effort into this. Also, love the background activity (The card game). Bless you (Hugs).
I believe they came to be when Auriel shot Lorkhans heart onto the sea and turned his body into Masser and Secunda. We know the two moons play a massive role in the development of a Khajit on both the physical and spiritual levels so I feel it is safe to say that Lorkhans body still channels his divine energies which warped the cat folk of Elswyer into the bipedal species we see now. This is just my two cents on the subject having used UESP lore.
Hey Rhexx can you talk about the ideal masters and how they work also just a question is Azura an Ideal master since she has the azuras star or did she make a deal with them
Hey, Rhexx I have a question are the Khajiits decended from the Ka po tun? you know to tiger people of akavir. or is it the other way around? Or are they they related in any way? Like think about it the Chimer became the Dunmer, and the Aldmer became the Altmer. (or maybe its the other way around.) or in real life the sabre cats became domesticated cats. Do the khajiits share any Akaviri traits. Sorry for my shitty spelling.
@MrRhexx, I was wondering if you could do a lore video on the beginning history of Tamriel. It would be similar but somewhat separate from the religious creation myths.
For example, some of the earliest of recorded history by the elves claim that the beast races were indigenous to Tamriel before all other races which kinda entirely debunks the Khajiit creation myth claiming they were made from the Bosmer since they didn't exist at the time as the Aldmer. The Bosmer segmented from the Aldmer after the Aldmer discovered and started expanding into Tamriel. This also debunks the Bosmers creation story in the way of transforming into creatures and plants without more information about a event or something to explain it.
It's said sometime before modern Tamriel that all the continents were one super continent, some speculate being it to be the true Aldmeris or perhaps a time before Aldmeris, when the war between the Elnofey happened assisted by the Aedric Gods. It segmented the land creating the seas and oceans. Old Elnofey (elves) somewhere south (presumably Admeris) Other Elnofey (men) to the north and west (Atmora and Yokuda) then Tamriel/Akivir for beast races. Over time the other lands (Save Akivir) would disappear, be destroyed, or fall into ruin causing the inhabitants to migrate to Tamriel. Having a video about this would be REALLY COOL!
Rhexx, I don't know if you know of this game but would you be able to do lore about guild wars and guild wars 2? I LOVE T.E.S., but the guild wars universe has the most lore possible for the game. There is so much in it and your lore videos are wonderful! I'd understand if you said no, but it would be a perfect combination. Please consider it and keep up the good work!
One of my favourite thing about khajiit lore is some of their descriptions.
Alkosh - His general description is that he's "a really big cat"
Mara - The Mother Cat
Merrunz - Described as an eternal kitten which is why he has a tendency to destroy.
S'rendarr - The Runt
Sheggorath - Skooma Cat
Also just to add to it they have a mortal they venerate as a god dues to his exploits.
Rajhin The Footpad / The Silent Walker
Reported to have been so skilled a thief he stole a tattoo from the back of an empress's neck while she slept.
S'rendarr and Stendar are both cast-offs of the corpse-god of mercy, but Stendar isn't S'rendarr. Just like auri-el and akatosh (and alduin) are both Aka, the time dragon, but auri-el and akatosh aren't the same.

Mr.Vojtik The Bandaari need to me destroyed
JackBhoi be*
they hate each other
All this and no mention of the great Skooma Cat (Sheogorath)
Magnificence is what created J'zargo
J'zargo, you lie.....
+MrRhexx yeah i actually paid more attention to the card game than to the lore
I personally got incredibly distracted by the game and started to drift from the commentairy more to the gameplay... Still a good lore video though!
Kinda miss the Skyrim gameplay in the background as well. :)
I have to agree it was nice and interesting to see you play tes Legends, but it also made it Kind of hard to cobcentrate on you narrating
The plural of Khajiit is Khajiit... Its like sheep: one sheep, two sheep, one khajiit, two khajiit.
how do u know its a made up word
Echo Saint because in all the games i've never heard or read an npc saying "Khajiits". It's always Khajiit for both plural and singular
All words are made up idiot.
Alex Cole Doesn't matter... I can come up with a word right now, and if i say the word is the same in plural and singular, then its so.

TheGamesforreal Yeah I know that, i'm just saying that all words are made up, nothing against you.
it's crazy how much you know about Elder Scrolls XD loving your videos
He looks it all up and actually gets a small portion every video wrong. Also he is moderately biased. Still better then some RUclipsrs that try what he does.
+Zeivon Bradshaw (SpicedGaming) What portion was wrong this video? Also who do you thinks better? I've recently got a lot more into lore and want to find good Tubers lol so far he's my favorite.
+Rival Ricky look up shoddy cast for lore also
People are so racist to us Kajiits, *You'll make a fine rug cat!* I don't go around saying *You'll make a fine drum human*
How you make a drum out of a human? I’d say leather boots
I’m probably on a list now
You remind me of my cousin's cat. Killed that, too.
*laughs in rimworld*
this is as close to a religious education I've been willing to listen to since I was a small child.
this is why I love bethesda games. the lore is so convoluted complex and in depth. the lore brings you into the games and makes them more fun because you can kinda understand the world you're exploring and immerse yourself into the game
there are cat people in skyrim but no cats there are dogs in skyrim but no dog people
Lilmolthiit. Fox/Dog people in Black Marsh. Wiped out by a plague that killed the Kothringi people as well.
werewolves.
What about sabrecats?
There are many kinds of khajiit. The Alfiq would be considered a house cat by human standards.
Sabre Cats are in Skyrim
So much love for these educational lore commentaries, love listening while playing really makes me appreciate all aspects of the game, please make more!!!!
Khajiit has wares
if you have coin...
...and if you haven't, you can go to dawnstar and take what you want from the hidden stash under the rock.
Hey thief!
I love the videos where you ramble about the lore. I usually listen to these whenever I'm playing Skyrim, ESO, or generally any other TES games. It's great to learn more about the lore of the endlessly intriguing Elder Scrolls universe.
Absolutely love the long videos going into such depth. Plus you make every minute so capturing. Keep it up!
Your lore videos are literally just perfect to listen while playing skyrim.
It's kinda annoying fighting enemies in skyrim, my reason is all the enemy says is you'll make a fine rug cat, and it's just like really?why?
When you're a kahjiit
but kahjiit bandits say it sometimes well at least in my gameplay
I play as Argonian, and bandits sometimes tell me that they'll wear my tail as a belt. Not sure why they'd want a slimy lizard tale for a belt.
You could always return the favor and use elf and human pelts and make leather for your caravan tents. They will think twice before attacking your camp. :P
What if Nirn is alive & it communicates through the Hist trees.
It's probably sick and tired of getting eaten and shat out by Alduin at the end of every kalpa.
Terry Valentine the hist existed before Nirn, watch his other vid
Finally, a respectful discussion of the Khajit, their origins and beliefs, without you once saying "cat people, that's weird" and dismissing them out of hand. *One does not simply have children in the void...*
It's even better when you hear it in the video
Hail Sithis.
I either allways play as a Nord(because Sweden) or Khajiit!
I usually play as a Dark Elf. Mostly because they look cool.
+Kubo Edgeworth the dark elves kind a scare me
+destined two82 what is your fav race to play?
+Ronnlund Formula 1 2014.
+Ronnlund khajiit
i just like hearing you talk, doesnt matter what it is.
These are always a wonderful "Treat" that you upload ever once in awhile. Thank you for the wonderful vids about elder scrolls.
I love how you tell story's it makes it so much more interesting, great storyteller :D
Khajiit welcomes you, also your coin.
I love your lore videos and the way you talk along with the backround music calm me
I have literally tried to watch this 2 times for the past 2 nights but I fall asleep because of the music.
I love Khajiits and everything to do with them I hope TES 6 or even 7 is set in Elsweyr I need more giant sassy cat people in my life.
Your content is just absolutely amazing! Just recently found you and have been binge watchin your videos for a while now. Keep up the great videos!
aedra and daedra? sounds like angels and demons to me, or like gods and titans: two sides of the same medal.
please continue the lore play, it is literally my favorite series on RUclips :)
How do Khajiit babies look like? Kittens?
Cubs
Depends on what kind they are.
Rip Skyrim Lore Play
its literally put me off watching this video :(
It has put me off watching this video also, MrRexx has failed us :c
Why? I felt fine. It's like a podcast.
+Cole Vetter yeah but alot of people dont like podcasts
Cole Vetter I like visuals, admit it you like it better with the Skyrim lore game play also -.-
Rhexx, i have to tell you, your videos make me the happiest person alive, my life has changed a LOT thx to it, i decided to start my channel, im spanish by the way, but i started my channel beeing inspired of your lore videos, i do lore but in spanish, so now i have one of the channels with best lore videos of all spain. His voice is so relaxing😂 I closed my eyes and almost fell asleep
I rarely comment on videos but I love how you explained this, and it's one of my favourite lore stories
"Who Created The Khajiits?"
A very lonely old single lady XD
Yeah, her name was Azura.
The Khajiits are now one of my favourite races just from that backstory to the world. I always liked them but that story is so much more interesting than the others to me. Plus, bonus points for baby making.
"Aedra are inherently good"
No.
love your channel man learning alot bout my favorite series elder scrolls
Kill an imperial, stormcloak guard attacks me
Yessss you're back!!
I know a lot of people who have never played Skyrim or any Elder Scrolls games and others who dislike them. I honestly think they are great, but even if you don't like the game itself one has to appreciate the immense amount of lore and story behind the series.
Are you ever gonna continue with the Dragon Priests? Lore about Krosis and Vokun if there is any? Ahzidal, Dukaan and Zahkriisos maybe? ;o
Thank you for explaining the lore. The elder scrolls universe is quite complex and fascinating.
I think some of human skepticism towards Daedra comes from the Ayelids. They openly worshiped Daedra, and they enslaved humans.
Also, if Azura is so important to the Khajiit, how come she's not part of their pantheon in the same way she is in the Dunmer pantheon? Or is she?

It's almost impossible to miss their reverence of Azura because in games like Skyrim they even shout "Azura curse you!" and they've built massive shrines to her. She is she's actually the head of their Pantheon contrary to popular belief
I love these videos, I absolutely love how complex the lore is behind TES, I love how there is a bit left out of each religious belief, and there is something true in each religion that isn't in others. I also love how if you pay attention the behaviors of people and events are very centered around as far back as the origins of the universe.
I had to rewatch the video because I was absolutely absorbed by the game in the background
New Rhexx Elder Scrolls lore video! Time to turn down the lights and get ready to Relax.
Love your vids one of the best youtubers out there you deserve more subs rhexx
Can you link the music you used on background?Ty
It was my understanding that the only difference between the Aedra and Daedra was that the Aedra were involved in the creation of Mundus and the Daedra weren't. And as the planets align, MrRhexx uploads once again
I want them to put the canine races in the game (the ones you spoke about in an earlier video).
They supposedly went extinct 100s of years ago. But it would be interesting if you were to find a small community somewhere in Elswyre or Valenwood
+Alex Vazquez Right, like how the Werebears kept to themselves.
forget that, what about the Tsaesci
+CircaSriYak "I'm tired of these mf Tsasci, on this mf plane... Of Oblivion." lol
+Alex Vazquez they said the same thing about the snow elves. And then there were some in the Dawnguard dlc.
"... she taught them the secrets of the moon."
"Did somebody say moon sugar?"
this might be the true unpolluted history of the Elder Scrolls universe.
If I gave birth to cute cat baby people, I wouldn't want to stop either.
Omg, are you playing an Elder Scrolls style game of Hearthstone?! Awesome!!! I like how the playing field is an Elder Scroll! XD
I can't help but love anything khajiit (I always play as one) since the moons change their height and look. Like how tall/short or what type of khajiit they'd be. Sabercats are a type of Khajiit born a certain moon phase and have changed BECAUSE of the moons, so now knowing more about their lore kinda helps more with this
What's the music in the background? It's so calm and relaxing and happy.
Hey, all this is very interesting and I would like to know where you have learned all of this about skyrim. Are there books about all of this?
These videos are beautiful. This is exactly what the fandom needs. Thank you for all your time and effort into this. Also, love the background activity (The card game). Bless you (Hugs).
Aedrea & Daedra is "order and chaos", not "good and evil". It is easier to seek comfort in order, as chaos is unpredictable.
Get that cash grab of a game out of my face
What is that calm music that you have in every video. I really want to know.
This seems to follow the Prometheus myth. The creator protecting its creation.
The more I learn about Khajiit, the more I love them.
yesss!!!! more elderscrolls videos... u duh man rhexx

Is there a video explaining Solitude or Markath, or Riften
Hey Rhexx can you talk about the ideal masters and how they work also just a question is Azura an Ideal master since she has the azuras star or did she make a deal with them
"LITTERally". Caught that pun.
what is the the card game 's name that rhexx is playn
Elder Scrolls Legends, it's currenly in open beta and it is quite literally Hearthstone in Elder Scrolls
ok thx :D
How is it compared to Gwent or YuGiOh?
+Srikrishna Bhat it is very different
they are entirely different. Just join the beta and try it, it is free. legends.bethesda.net/
What's that armor in the thumbnail?
hail the empire also why so long for you MrRhexx to do a elder scrolls lore ,theories all for the Imperials
i enjoy these lore videos a little too much lol, would you ever consider doing other games' lore? Like mass effect or a game along those lines?
I would more like it, if you used pictures and video etc... not card game in the background. But that's just me :/
nuller87 I agree
Hey, Rhexx I have a question are the Khajiits decended from the Ka po tun? you know to tiger people of akavir. or is it the other way around? Or are they they related in any way? Like think about it the Chimer became the Dunmer, and the Aldmer became the Altmer. (or maybe its the other way around.) or in real life the sabre cats became domesticated cats. Do the khajiits share any Akaviri traits. Sorry for my shitty spelling.
Khajiits
will you do WOW Legion secrets video ?
why no skyrim gameplay on the background? :(
why is there random gameplay and not pics related to the specific topic
the race closest to my heart is dunmer, but I think the khajiit are right next to them :)
What game/mod are you playing in the backround?
Octopus It's a PC game beta for TES Legends
this is incredibly the most essentially interesting incredible essentially essential video ever.....seriously
essentially essential btw. essentially
Do you think you could talk about the Breton afterlife?
these videos make me wonder about the akavirin religions
@MrRhexx, I was wondering if you could do a lore video on the beginning history of Tamriel. It would be similar but somewhat separate from the religious creation myths.

I love lore about the elder scrolls but when are the lore plays coming back
Can you do a lore video on the giants?

Who created the Khajiits?! I created the Khajiits, FOOL!
This Kajiit is pleased with your video.
