I love that you included your various references and showed the full development of not just the illustration, but your thought process in creating it. It's so cool to see and I always appreciate getting a little peek into a fellow artist's creative process!
That was my first time on Procreate, I wanted to make a raw view of the process ( I’m so glad this software allows to entirely see it ). I’m from thoses who learned ( and still learning ! ) drawing mainly thanks to internet and artists sharing their works and process. I love see their way, how they think, what’s their reference… 😄 I hope somewhere someone see and learn something while watching my work !
@@cam-artI've never actually used Procreate, though mostly cause I live constantly side eyeing Apple's business practices. I can see why so many artists enjoy it though, it always looks like it's a genuinely smooth and seamless experience that just hasn't quite been able to translate to non-Apple products.
Is this character based on the taniwha from maori myths? If so, I really do love to see representation of my culture in beautiful art and ocs like this
Thank you ❤️ Yes it is 😊 I was searching ideas about water creatures or sea monsters then I found stories about Taniwha. Māori stories are really cool ! I took some liberties while creating this character, I just discover Māori culture so I didn’t feel to try make something too representative. However it really give me the envy to discover New Zealand ! 🙌🏻
