We Finally Tried Camping...My mom and I have been joking about "going camping" ever since we decluttered her garage. Every time we would come across something that my mom was questioning she would say we can keep it for camping even though my parents weren't into camping LOL. So we decided with all the talk of camping that we should go "camping"!

I laughed so many times! When you said you were going to just "embrace the dirt" I was hysterical cause I raised 3 boys. The video was touching, sweet, entertaining and SO amusing! I'm your Mom's age, and I'm a Kathy so I get such a kick out of her!
I love that you share your family with us. You have the sweetest parents. My Mama passed away in 2012. We were best friends hand I miss her everyday. Thank you soo much for sharing! ❤️

I need that for camping! 😂 My husband had all the fancy supplies for camping but he's never gone once in 15 years. Luckily the kids and I can make use of it with guides and scouts. What an adventure 🏕️🥾🔥
We just did a week of camping at a campsite. The kids loved it. ❤
Camping, doing everything you have to do at home -- cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids -- but way harder and way more dangerous. Glad you enjoyed yourself. :)

I'm from Spain but lived a year in California. Once we were camping in tents and a bear came along in the middle of the night to steel our neighbours beer. The bear tried to get in their car. We were in Tahoe and It was incredible. I LOVE California.

For those of us who have been following you for a while and listened to the fun “camping jokes“ with your mom, this was a treat! Now I want to go camping again!

So happy you gave camping a try. I have to tease you just a little bit. Backpackers and tent campers like us, call fancy trailers and RV's "Glamping. There is nothing more beautiful than the Eastern Sierras. We have seen so many bears, even walking behind our tent in Mammoth and Rock Creek. We always have Bear Spray; but have never had to use it. We always keep our food and all scented toiletries in the Bear Box. Just don't fry bacon if you get word bears are close by. Our kids still remember all of the camping trips we went on.

This was awesome! The scenery! You all are great! You're all so comfortable in your own skin.... & on camera! I admire that. It made me cry when you were teaching Levi to fish. I remember those days. Precious moments. When you climbed the mountain & you were tired, one of your boys said "It was worth it." That's what my brother would say. I miss my brother now.

I really loved this video! Seeing the whole family together interacting was such a treat!
I used to go camping in a “Motor Home” from the age of 8 yrs old and the first time, it was way up north in Minnesota, in the woods in the winter time. We had a little kiddy snowmobile and myself and my step sister would take it into the woods to a large lake and Speed back-and-forth on our own! When her and I were much older and looked at our kids at the same age of eight, we were like, “there’s no way we would let our kids do that, they looked so little and inexperienced!” 😂
Times have changed!
We did camp in the summertime much more than the winter and we traveled when I was 15 yrs old from Minnesota, down to Branson Missouri and then over to Georgia and then up towards Wisconsin and back home.
You guys really look like you were having a lot of fun!
I remember the video in the garage when your mom kept saying she was going to use all those supplies for camping and I was laughing so hard. I shared it with my daughters and they were cracking up too! 😂

Some of my favorite memories are those of camping. Like most things the more you do it the easier it gets. I prefer car/tent camping. Backpacking was also amazing when our boys were teenagers. Preparation is key and can take some effort - but it is well worth it! Thank you for sharing!
Awe, this has become my favorite video ❤️ YES, to more camping. There is so much to explore in the western part of this country. The boys are at a perfect age to enjoy the National Parks and to become junior rangers. Your Mom on the jack knife sofa had me rolling with laughter.

My camping days are over but my sons(45 & 47 now) still reminisce the time spent at that campsite! Enjoy. Remember it's for the kids, camping is a lot of work! I made a detailed list of what to bring and it saved me lots of time.
Yup - lists are definitely a time saver. Prep as much as possible a head of time.
Watching this video felt like a mini vacation.

I lean more towards the camper style camping instead of the roughing it up in tents myself.. if I’m being totally honest.. I enjoy campions in my house/hotel room🤪

Love this video so much. I enjoyed being along with you and the family. My favorite part was you and one of the boys skipping on the trail. ❤. The fishing on the pontoon brought back so many memories with my grandparents, boating, picnicking, swimming and fishing. Great camping trip!

I had just as much fun watching your video as you did on your camping trip! LOL 😍😍😃😃🤣🤣I went tent and pop-up camper camping with family when I was young, and we took our kids tent camping (sometimes in a cabin in a campground) when they were young. I have always loved camping! We live in the mountains of Western NC and there are lots of places to camp. We also have LOTS OF BEARS! LOL Just come to my house if you want to see a bear. LOL 😃😃Glad your parents went with your family. My parents went with us a few times as well. Lots of fun!

I appreciated so much you sharing your vacation. My family loved camping it takes a bit to get settled but then you enjoy nature. It is tiring. My boy loved it when he was young and he’s taken my granddaughters . Your mom is so funny. I think I feel like her being almost 60 lol. It looks so beautiful there. I agree ppl that have their own campers have better mattresses etc. this is also so relatable to me as I spend so much time with my grandkids and love taking vacation with them. Lovely memories ❤🌳🛥️🐟

But we still did the camping thing.! Now that the parents are gone, and the kids are all grown and married, only myself. I DO have a camper, but have never camped in it.
