  • He risked a half a billion dollars of his own money on the downtrodden Patriots and turned them into the NFL's best franchise.

being a diehard bills fan I can never cheer for the Patriots. But I think every owner in the NFL can learn from this man nothing but respect for this man.

As a lifelong New England Patriots fan. I grow up 14.4 miles from Foxboro Stadium. South Easton, Massachusetts. We are extremely fortunate to have an owner like this man. No more Patsies!

I agree with you. He was a great owner. The players loved him. Then he got screwed in my opinion. I think he and Robert Kraft along with a couple other owners such as the owner of the Seahawks is also right up there. I know I'm missing a couple more. Thank God Jerry Jones is not the owner of my favorite team the Patriots.

Mr. Kraft is very wise and is with out a doubt a man that has been blessed and shares his good fortune. The Patriots under his watch have given the NFL seven of the best Super Bowl's of all time. Only a team with a strong moral compass can achieve the impossible. I only hope that my team will learn from their example.

Risked half a billion? It's well documented, he raised about $170 million using bank loans and was leveraged to the hilt - not clear how much of that was his own money. But it did sound like he risked everything he had.
Just finished reading the "The Dynasty" which is a great book about the Patriots and Kraft albeit a positively biased one. Kraft's was a busy business man, and the Patriots were something he did to spend time with his boys.

Wait a moment, does he credit a young woman in Florida? Why isn't she being interviewed?
I live a couple of towns away from the stadium, a few years ago he tried to install a gambling franchise, and gave the Foxboro town council and also the local police real trouble. Example: The FBI had word that a criminal group that trafficked young girls would be there (at the stadium,) on game-day. And the stadium security apparatus tried to derail their efforts.
I'm not saying that he's not great businessman, he is, clearly. But there's more to life than making money. Look at Bill Gates or any of the Robber Baron's. They gave all that money away for one reason: because everyone knows their crooks.
Same for Bill Gates and Robert Kraft.

Football aside, he just sounds like a fantastic person general. Robert Kraft, the biggest Patriots fan ever. He is not kidding about the NFL being a good product, but the NFL is absolutely shithouse at promoting itself outside of the USA.

Listen to football people, players, coaches,...etc: its always MISTER Kraft. Doesnt matter if they are from other teams, rivals even: everybody respects him. Also: he decided to wear sneakers when invited to the white house and said if they didnt want him to come his way, he would respectfully abstain. Let that sink in: "Im me, I respect if you see the world another way, but I wont change for you." (btw. President Obama didnt have a problem, check the pictures)
