They can feature me if they run out of pros. I usually start with a bacon sandwich and a bit of TV. I may walk to the shops at some point for a mars bar. If I'm feeling motivated I'll smash out a 5k in just under 35 minutes. I'm not even sponsored if you can believe that.
The reason I watch SLT. Going to miss watching them race in Leeds. Nothing ever lasts for long in the UK. Even the TDY as gone. Great to watch Johnny living a hard day's training ❤ thank you for sharing 🙏
I completely relate to Jonny here, hate the taste of coffee but love the smell. AND BISCUIT TEAAAAAAAA. What a beast. Inspirational all the best for the season Jonny.
This was magnificent 👏. Missing the other half. Can wait for a documentary on both brownlee brothers 😅❤💪. In love with their hard work and determination. Can't wait to see them in Paris 2024. Let's go 😊. Legends I forget to put that. Much love 😂
Sure his other half actually cooks his evening meals, can't imagine any professional athletes live off microwave meals! Guess he's got to get paid somehow. Really nice guy seen, him do these types of videos before.
In them meals there is good carbs and protein, etc, as Alistair said it takes 3 minutes, the last thing a professional needs is to be faffing around for 39 minutes cooking after training
Damn Jonny, so little food & water 🤯 This was a barely 2000-2200 kcal daily intake there. Also this was more of a Fuel Hub ads than a day in the life ... But i enjoyed it nevertheless The man is a huge champion but i feel like there is still a huge improvement for food quality !
@@tomstephenson5452didn't show his full consumption, eg. Protein shakes Mentioned the extra vitamins/minerals but didn't show him popping them. Only saw 3 meals and not his snacks / added fuel.
Exactly. Full fat yoghurt and bacon and eggs for breakfast would be a far better option. This old dogma of carby porridge etc breakfasts is hard to shift.
Better nutrition than the previous video, but still poor for an elite endurance athlete with such a high training volume. There is a noticeable lack of protein, insufficient meal frequency, underfuelling and a general carelessness that is shocking for someone who has been so successful in the sport. Perhaps investing in a personal chef or dietician who can properly calculate your macros including your immense calorie expenditure so that you are eating enough to perform well at every session, to prevent injury, and to promote longevity in the sport by increasing your muscle mass. Your diet isn't good which is why you have nutritional deficiencies, grey hair and wrinkles at such a young age despite being an elite athlete with an otherwise healthy lifestyle. All the best, still time to improve and make changes before Paris!
@@neilfox9540 thanks for the compliment. If he gets to Paris and doesn't win gold, he'll be disappointed. Better to refine things now than get there and underperform. Easy to change microwave meals to home cooked, nutrient dense food rich in protein.
Presumably a promo as that diet is pretty poor. Alo shocked that todays athletes are still consuming such vast quantities of carbs as percentage of macros. Theres much evidence to suggest this is why so many endurance athletes suffer from heart disease, heart attacks and diabetes and much higher than normal in later life. They consume such vast quantities of carbs for such a long time and likey keep up that habit later in life also. More fat and protein is the way forward (also contains more nutrients, typically animal foods) with only enough carbs to sustain workouts (much lower than people think).
literally zero evidence behind endurance athletes carbs and heart issues. Cardio issues arrive cos the heart like any muscle grows and can become too big, so actually causes issues with pumping blood around the body. 'So many' wouldn't say that either, but i am sure you have the qualifications to tell people you know best.
@@joshyaxley1198 ah good old credentialism. Where did I say I know best? I gave my opinion. You didn't like it. And to say there is no evidence is absolutely daft. There is considerable evidence (which isn't proof of course) that high carb causes huge issues to people's health, if you aren't aware of it that's your issue. High carb consumption/low fat/low meat etc has a significant correlation with cardiovascular disease. Paul Lauren has done research and argued about how elite Endurance athletes can be fit but unhealthy (an observation i have seen and makes sense) through insulin resistance and inflammation. Redgrave is an example, developed Type 2 diabetes (now moving towards being seen as a lifestyle disease, which it is I believe, not genetic). He said his diet was huge in carbs and sugar. Peter Attia is also famous for his work on insulin resistance among athletes. Perhaps the most famous of all Tim Noakes, a Comrades Endurance runner, diabetic and world leading sports scientist. Oh and the guy who helped to develop the carb gel and of course now says they're terrible. Athletes are now understanding the benefits of CGMs. High fat, high protein, low carb is the way forward. Do as you wish, doesn't bother me. But try not to be as close minded and ignorant. Yea zero evidence.
@@ln5747 I surprisingly know all of that, I was pointing out that you indicated that a high carb diet causes issues with the heart, which from the research it doesn’t. I don’t disagree with long term affects of a high carb/sugar diet, I listen to a lot of Attia’s work and agree with that & all of what you said about its relationship with type 2 diabetes etc… Just pointing out high carb & heart issues aren’t directly related for endurance athletes, is a bit more compact than that, which is what to me it seemed you indicated.
@@joshyaxley1198 because I believe it's all essentially related and arises from insulin resistance on the most part. Which comes from carbs/sugars in the diet. I believe in 20 years athletes will not be eating anything like they do now and I'm surprised they still are. They think because they're fit, they're healthy. They aren't unhealthy as such compared to much of the population, but they aren't optimal and I believe the extreme carb consumption is causing issues which may only manifest later.
More ‘day in the life’ videos if possible please 😊
I second this notion

Nice to know I am not the only one drinking tea at coffee stops!
Jonny Brownlee along with his brother and Gomez is one of the GOATS 🐐
Beautiful video! Jonny is a legend of our sport. Keep it up
A life dedicated to triathlon for this triple Olympic medallist winner.
I completely relate to Jonny here, hate the taste of coffee but love the smell. AND BISCUIT TEAAAAAAAA. What a beast. Inspirational all the best for the season Jonny.
Really enjoyed this! Great to see Jonny in his normal environment :)
Very good video, Johnny is such a nice guy!
Excellent and what commitment to the cause, I'm thinking I met this chap in what is now Imotion Gym some years back.
Brilliant Jonny! All the best at Paris! GG!
Loved this! I wish more sports videos focussed on the importance of nutrition like this!
"Thanks Hayden" 😆
Good ad for fuel hub

Really enjoyed the video, definitely two bottles for over 40k on the bike ,
Good luck for the rest of the season 😊
Great video Jonny 💪🏻
great insight into your training - brilliant
A Fuelhub advert disguised as "A day in the life of Jonny Brownlee"
Enjoyed the video. At least a week's worth of exercise for me on that day.
We can see that Jonny is not the boss in his house. Jonny is a good man.
Jonny and his brother Alistair don't receive enough respect, recognition and support in the UK. Same goes for many other British sports people...
I love biscuit tea from yorkshire too 😋 great video down to earth 👍
That's called under fuelling, right there
Sure his other half actually cooks his evening meals, can't imagine any professional athletes live off microwave meals! Guess he's got to get paid somehow. Really nice guy seen, him do these types of videos before.
No way he eats 2 frozen meals a day
my man did not just say "soup" for part of his last meal 😂
😂
Good look on your future
Nice Short overview of a Professional triathlete. Only one concern, why microwave food and not cooking propper fresh food?
Product sponsors?
In them meals there is good carbs and protein, etc, as Alistair said it takes 3 minutes, the last thing a professional needs is to be faffing around for 39 minutes cooking after training
Sponsor meal preps
What was the total cals. Doesn't seem like much. Maybe 3,000?
I found it shocking the fact that such a legend doesn't drink coffee
Man after my own heart - porridge, cups of tea and Rhubarb crumble. 👌
Yes and the dogs will have a bowl of #yorkshire tea they love Yorkshire tea
is that Tom Dean @7:00?
no
Lovely
That’s is clearly not enough food

More of an advertorial than a day in the life, but enjoyed it nevertheless. £7.50 for a microwave meal is a bit steep though!
Crikey for a microwave meal that's wild
What breed was Pippin?
Is a microwaved meal really the best food for one of the top triathletes in the world can have?
Clearly this is a sponsored video, he's paid to say that's a lovely and perfect meal for champs :)
It's mad how much time is needed to train for triathlons, the average person who works doesnt stand a chance😂😂
Bruh this is probably like 2000kj on a 4hrs training day … not enough
12:30
Buddy does this look like 5000 calories? That dinner is about 400
how many olympic medals you won?
