Say what! What is shift lock? You can always shift on paddles.

If your battery becomes dead,gearbox is locked in park and you cant tow a car cause wheels are blocked.This video is about emergency gearbox override

Same , they must’ve changed it a year or two later cause mines the 2015 and had some serious issues with a tow company damaging my car due to this problem.

No emergency release on these ?.
XF should be under the cover that goes across the center console .
Knowing where they are helps iff you do repo work lol .
Air bag in the door frame and wire down to pull the door handle and " thank you " where's the release and it's gone .....
Love the look on peoples faces when they tell you they lost the keys so the car can't be taken lol ...
A woman in Grimsby told me the car hadn't moved in 6 months - funny how the Sainbury sandwiches on the passenger seat were in date as i passed her the school letter's dated the day before lol .
