Hi fifty. Yes. I believe with bipod and optic. Seemed like descent tactical type optic. They have name on receivers . He warranties his builds for life . I'm considering 224 val kyrie or ar 10 in 6.5. . Thank you for your help. Your builds are really detailed and nice.
I stumbled across your vids and I'm impressed with your presentation, detail, and thoughtful knowledge. Utmost respect for you. Now I'm subscribed whether I actually build a 6.5CM or go with the Grendal, I'm here. You got another fan. Thanks.
Fitty% TACTICAL do you mind if I contact you via Facebook. I am trying to piece together a 6.5 cm and would really appreciate some pointers. Every time I ask for advice in FB groups, I get shamed by everyone.
This looks like a great build to me, but it's not complete without the paperwork. The proof of the build would be the shot groups on paper at distance with the ammo you selected.
Beautiful rifle sir, i like how you explained why you used these parts over others, very informative. I live in Canada and just received my gun license(PAL) and will be building my first ar, cheers
Hello. Another excellent an informative video!! So, can I ask, what ammo would you suggest I use with an HD 300 blackout with suppressed 247, range supersonic ammo and supersonic for HD?? Thank you an thank you for your timely response. Oh do you have a Patron as well??
Glad you like the video. As for ammo to use in a 300blk suppressed, I like to run subs when the can is on and SS when it's off. No specific brand for myself personally. I run brass case subs with the can on and steel supers when not suppressed. My Patreon is "FittyACTUAL"
I cant wait to get back to the states. I've built me an AR 15 but am very interested in the 6.5 Grendel and Creedmoor builds. Which one in your opinion is the more preferred and are you doing a video on your Grendel?
The grendel is good up to 1000yrds and the creedmoor is good past 1000yrds. The grendel is lighter because its on an AR15 receiver and the creedmoor is on an AR10 receiver. I will be doing a grendel build next.
Yes, the length of the round determines the receiver needed. If it can fit in an AR15 mag it can usually be chambered for an AR15. The 6.5cm requires the AR10 patterned receiver.
That's a good looking rifle. Too bad the Aero Precision receiver set isn't available in 2020, the "pandemic period" (out of stock). I recently decided to step it up from the 308, to the 6.5 Creedmoor. The 6.5 cuts the wind much better, and it reaches out there a bit more. I simply made my decision at the wrong time. I'll likely go with a bolt action rig due to the lack of parts availability for AR's.
I have to say, this video just convinced me to build a .308 platform AR. Great video! Did you consider using any other receiver sets or did you know you wanted to go with an Aero from the start?
+Cade Miller well the receivers were something I felt I could save some money seeing as the other components cost a bit of money...lol I looked at the other receiver sets and like I said in the video, I feel like the Aero set is the cheapest, best looking, best quality for the price you can get.
Everyone has a natural point at which the trigger finger likes to sit on the trigger for a consistent trigger pull. The roller on the trigger rolls naturally to that point on the pad of the finger helping you keep your trigger pulls more consistent and for accuracy, consistency is key.
+Trab Resiak including the Burris XTRII 8-40x56mm it was between $3k-$4k and as for the accuracy Im still breaking the barrel in but the first 20 shots out of it are in the video I uploaded before the barrel dimpling video.
I didn't realize the pistol grip had that much influence on accuracy even though the grip I have on it currently is "cheap" but helps with trigger pull/control.
I know for a fact this does not need to be done all the arrow precision ones I have bought have been extremely tight fitting sir I don’t know what kind of information you’re trying to pass out
what buffer tube did you use for this. also I am looking at the cts active buffer as well, was it specifically the 'ar10 with the ar15 buffer tube' or the ar10 with the ar15 6 position buffer tube'? this build is sick and I am on the way to having one very similar.
Nice build. I've built one rifle with Aero receivers and liked them a lot. I've got another set I'm planning on building into a 6.5CM similar to what you've done. Was the Aero upper pretty true when you started lapping it? I've not got a factory barrel to fit any uppers like I'd want yet so I may end up ordering one with an oversized extension to get that nice just barely press fit when I do this 6.5 build. Good deal on the bedding. I haven't tried that yet but I've heard it'll help squeeze a little more consistency out of a precision build.
Glad I came across your videos. The work you have put into your videos is great, the background music is good and is playing at a great level, intro music is awesome. I have to say your videos are put together probably better then any i have watched.
Ok I have a question 😅. I’m building an 18in ar cause I want to be able to reach out to 800 yards. The competition people on RUclips 😅 said that having a heavier bcg makes the recoil less? I don’t know the applications for a heavier bcg but it logically makes sense if you have a light weight bcg it would be less mass moving? So less recoil? I don’t know it’s like everyone has their own thing going on? So I just wanted to know from your experience with this build 6 years ago did the light bcg work the way you wanted it? I have learned so much about assembly from your videos. Thanks for everything you bring to the community. 😅
The more mass an object has, the more energy is required to move it. If you have a normal to lightweight gun a heavy BCG will be able to move the entire rifle easier than a lightweight BCG with the same gas system. I prefer to use lightweight BCGs with an adjustable gas system to tune the rifle. If a rifle is over gassed it will have more felt recoil no matter if the BCG is heavy or lightweight.
Hey bud, great video, and my zipper broke when I saw the rifle. I just finished my upper, but I’m looking to use some of your parts for the lower. I have an Aero upper and lower... where can I find the parts list for this rifle?
Im putting together a 6.5 creedmoor precision gun soon as well! I don't think the semi auto rifles get much love because of all the negative connotations they have compared to a bolt gun. Love the video!
Love the build, I'm thinking about building one myself. How much does the complete rifle weigh without the optic? I want to make one as light as possible.
Their customer service is abhorrent and they get to it when they feel like it, it seems like. After my video the demand went up and I don't think they were ready to deal with it. Sorry bud...
One question, Why did you choose the Sentry 9 instead of the Sentry 7. What is the port size on the barrel you chose? I appreciate your feedback, as I chose some parts for my build based off of your recommendations.
The Sentry 7/8/9 have to do with gas block journal size. They are 0.625", 0.750", 0.876" and 0.936" and the 7/8/9 in the Sentry name indicates the size journal it fits.
@@FittyACTUAL right, I was assuming based on popularity that your barrel port size was .750 because that is the most common size I have found. Thank you for responding so quickly.
I'm looking for lighter creedmoor options. I have a 22 inch stainless barrel all aero parts and it's a real nice gun and very accurate but its dang heavy and I wanted to use it for a hunting rifle as well but theres no way ima be lugging that thing around the woods on long walks unless I can set it up properly and rest it. So now I'm researching lighter options and parts.
I am also a big fan of Aero Precision components. JP Enterprises trigger springs are an excellent way to go. I have a $50 trigger group with JP springs that feels almost as nice as my $150 Geissele, with a little precision buffing and polishing. Now I might have to build a 6.5 Creedmoor. Thanks a lot! Geez...
With all due respect, I legitimately want to know why you care about play between upper/lower? On my spr clone with stainless heavy match barrel, mb556k, and trijicon 5-20x50, I've shot hand loads with the stock tolerances between receivers and now am currently run a rubber stabilizing block that makes the fit very rigid, however, I don't see any discernable difference.
Reading on the Rainier website it mentions the gas block outside diameter on the CA-10 Barrel is .938 and the SLR 9 lists the inside diameter as .936. Was there any modification required to fit the SLR 9 to your barrel?
No there was no modification needed. When you get out to the thousandth it's so minimal that that difference is nothing. My SLR block slid on like butter.
To use the same bolt, the rim of the cartridge/brass needs to be the same and seeing as the 6.5 creedmoor round uses the .308 case/brass, the same bolt can be used for both. The only thing that needs to be changed is the barrel which contains the specific 6.5cm chamber dimensions.
@@FittyACTUAL Thank you very much for the quick response! Does the slightly longer cartridge length on the 6.5 affect the magazine or lower in anyway or they are also interchangeable with any .308 AR10?
Chandler Lockert thanks, glad you liked it. The rifle without scope is around 7 pounds and I'm getting an average of .6 MOA and if I had my other arm to use I could get them smaller.
Strong presentation, Pro work! Did not know of the Burris xtr II 8-40 until seeing your video. Good price point & magnification? How are you liking it so far? Video review ;) On the fence, Burris vs Vortex. Thx for the great videos and info!
Very nice build on your end! I have a question. I'm currently building a 6.5 Creedmore AR but went with a jp barrel. It fits very tight and once the rail was installed the barrel appears to be well centered. I'm using a Hellfire armory upper. Should I still lap the upper? If so, how do I go about doing that?
I have the same receive set, did you have any issues lining up the slur handguard? I just ordered the same high profile handguard. Thanks Awesome build

Je P yes I'm using the JP High Pressure bolt. No pierced primers and I don't shoot suppressed yet but plan to and everything works great eight the SLR adjustable gas block.
This is VERY close to the one I’m working on. It’s nice to see other people using JP parts. How do you like the trigger? I love the silent captured spring, BCG combos in my rifles and will probably include their trigger in my 6.5
+WesMerc thanks...Ive made the choice to only put out videos when Im happy with it so its NOT about quantity but quality and hopefully be different then the other gun channels.
I find i try out VLD ammo as well when trying to find a stable bullet with good results, sometimes they just out perform most match grade ammo. on par and sometime better than the eld x or match.
kenneth robles correct and that's the beauty of 6.5cm. The reason you can use all .308 parts except for the chambered barrel is that 6.5cm is simply .308 brass necked down for the 6.hmm projectile.
Quick question. For the AERO precision receiver set, does it matter if you're wanting to build an AR10 build as compared to an AR15 build? Their site says AR15 on those sets. I'm assuming you can get the same one for both build styles.
How does that buffer compare to a Kynshot? I'm in the last stages of my own build, and I was bouncing between buffers, and decided to go with the Kynshot. Besides for that and the barrel, there isn't much difference between my build and yours.
Well both buffers dampens and in looks like the Kynshot dampens a bit more than the CTS, but the CTS Aktive recoil buffer is still one of if not the only buffers that help center the BCG. I looked at the Kynshot when I was deciding too but obviously went with the CTS buffer. Ive also recently upgraded my buffer spring so check out the latest Precision Rifle video: ruclips.net/video/WVMXSdGnSMc/видео.html
I think it’s hilarious you say to spend all your money on parts along the bore axis then proceed to mention those parts and it’s every single component in an AR except the pistol grip
wont bedding the barrel to the upper with the Indian head gasket make it impossible to replace the barrel in the future? not trying to sound like a jerk, just an honest question. I do like the rest of your build
damupr all you should need to do is apply heat to the upper receiver barrel sleeve with a heat gun for a bit and then you should be able to push or tap the barrel out of the upper receiver sleeve.

What was the total cost of the build?
Sorry im pretty new at this, and my question is that you basically use all .308 parts with 6.5 creedmoor barrel?
kenneth robles correct and that's the beauty of 6.5cm. The reason you can use all .308 parts except for the chambered barrel is that 6.5cm is simply .308 brass necked down for the 6.hmm projectile.
I have a 6.5 Grendel Christiansen arms barrel, it fit tight in the spikes upper. Awesome build Fitty%
Dusty Senkyr thanks bud!
very nice best built I've seen yet
unfortunately I have no assembly skills
so I have to one out of the box
subscribed want to see more
i'm to the point now i simply click the Thumbs Up as i'm starting the video :-)
you're making me want to build my own 6.5
+KingTesticus well thank you bud!
Hey, when you order the buffer. Which one did you select for the build exactly?
Victory Athletic Training Center the AR10 rifle with AR15 rifle buffer tube anti tilt.
Man your videos are kick ass. Content is great! Crisp, clear, and concise. Keep up the great work.... oh and your builds are on another level..
Bigk218 thanks bud, I'm glad you like them!
What product did you use to bed the barrel to the upper?
Awesome rifle and great video! Thanks.
Alec Johnson its called Indian Head Gasket compound and I got it at AutoZone.
This is absolutely badass!! I'm looking into getting a Christensen CA-10.
This Channel Rocks ,, Like Youre Technical Approach , Just Sub'd
John Willis thanks bud!
Fantastic! That was right around what I was hoping for in a build like this. Keep up the good work.
Love this build and im doing research to build my own long distance AR!! Loved all the info you gave out. Keep doing good things!
I know it has been a while since your post. I belive for PRS you want more weight not less like he went for.
Dude you got a sub! really like the way you put your videos together. you own my dream rifle.
Thanks, check out the video on the new updates to the rifle!
Quick question. For the AERO precision receiver set, does it matter if you're wanting to build an AR10 build as compared to an AR15 build? Their site says AR15 on those sets. I'm assuming you can get the same one for both build styles.
Josh R no, the M5 receivers ar AR10 and the M4E1 is AR15.
Ok, thank you!
My 6.5 is better then yours
Sweet
Is your upper and lower receiver M5E1?
Just a M5 set not enhanced.
@@FittyACTUAL thanks
Thanks for the reply. I might try the CTS in another build.
I think it’s hilarious you say to spend all your money on parts along the bore axis then proceed to mention those parts and it’s every single component in an AR except the pistol grip
Ok, guess you could skimp on the stock, but everything else you shouldn't.
Hey there Romeo, did you know I was a Tango? lol
wont bedding the barrel to the upper with the Indian head gasket make it impossible to replace the barrel in the future? not trying to sound like a jerk, just an honest question. I do like the rest of your build
damupr all you should need to do is apply heat to the upper receiver barrel sleeve with a heat gun for a bit and then you should be able to push or tap the barrel out of the upper receiver sleeve.
Awesome, ill try this on my 6.5 Grendel build. Thanks
Why did you use a 6.8 suppressor adaptor ? And not the AR 10 one ?
