Thank you for the video. It would be nice if you let Excel 2021 users (desktop version) know that you are using MS 365 and it is Required to play along with your video, otherwise you are stuck at "data types". All of this training should start with what version of MS Excel you need to participate as there are many different levels and you can spend hours (apparently) searching for what you have and trying to guess what version Simon Says It is using.

This 2 hour video is not complete, right? It stopped at Module 3, cleaning data. Section 4: Analysing Data and Section 5: What If Analysis is not included.
this tutorial was so so good. my only problem was the xlookup part because my version doesn't have that yet, so i had to find an alternative by combining the index and match functions

Hi, Excellent video to start for absolute beginners with Excel. The only "poor" think that I've seen is "advertising" the Merge (and center) as it can become a really pain in the a.. (I'm French, so you certainly can pardon my French 😁). Centering across the selection is slightly longer to achieve of course but if the result seems to be the same, it prevents all the issues with selecting range and copying and pasting. Again, very nice video that I will share with absolute beginners before starting courses when mixed to non beginners.

@@najidmouhammad9708 Because you are not modifying the structure of the sheet, merge & center deletes cells and center across selection leaves the cell structure intact allowing to insert columns, sorting and filtering.
You didn’t use the format as table to unlock even more powerful functionality. For example, changing the data into a table would have turned filtering on. Also the flash fill function works even better when the data is already in a table. Calculations fill down columns

You can use any version of Excel for data analysis, but there may be functions that are only available in the later versions such as Excel 2021, and of course Excel 365.

Hi,
Excellent video to start for absolute beginners with Excel.
The only "poor" think that I've seen is "advertising" the Merge (and center) as it can become a really pain in the a.. (I'm French, so you certainly can pardon my French 😁).
Centering across the selection is slightly longer to achieve of course but if the result seems to be the same, it prevents all the issues with selecting range and copying and pasting.
Again, very nice video that I will share with absolute beginners before starting courses when mixed to non beginners.

If I may add, watching the second half of the video, I was surprised to see the formulas dragged down manually instead of double clicking on the fill handle (that's a time saver, especially when you have loads of rows!)

could you please explain why it's preferable to use Center across instead of merge
@@najidmouhammad9708 Because you are not modifying the structure of the sheet, merge & center deletes cells and center across selection leaves the cell structure intact allowing to insert columns, sorting and filtering.

You did not talk about or demonstrate the power query tool for cleaning data despite saying Excel 365 is best
You didn’t use the format as table to unlock even more powerful functionality. For example, changing the data into a table would have turned filtering on. Also the flash fill function works even better when the data is already in a table. Calculations fill down columns
what version of MS Excel must we use?
Since Wolfram is no longer supported as of June 11, 2023, what else is used instead?

Which excel version is needed for this osam practice..?
You can use any version of Excel for data analysis, but there may be functions that are only available in the later versions such as Excel 2021, and of course Excel 365.
Hello why dont I see in my excel file the data type to see options like geography, flag, populations and the likes?
Geography I think is only available in the Microsoft 365 version.
My Excel 365 does not have the power automate feature.

nvm i figured it out, you click on geography in the data type, then you'll see the same icon that is shown on the video click it and click on currency code for column B

This was recorded with Excel 365, but you can try going to File - Options - Customize Ribbon, and then from the dropdown, All Commands, then search for Data Types.
