    • @parker1ray
      @parker1ray Год назад +7

      This has been done by big business and Government for the last 30 years! Where do you think all the independents have gone. When I was a teenager in the 70's, mom and dad had four trucks and the majority of trucking was done by small independents. Now it is large companies like Snyder. Our politicians and the big boys have had laws and policies enacted to force out the small guy just like they did in farming and meat processing and retail.

      Have that 12 pt turbo wheel pulled off. It would make a great reminder on a wall or in the shop We have had 3 fires. An apartment building got hit by lightning. A single family rental -the eviction being served that day. The women helped us get top dollar for a fully update home. Then our personal homes stove caught fire. We were in the process of building on 28 acres. God's plan was to get us there with a true mobile home. I was able to build the septic and finish the electrical runs. You are never ever put into anything too difficult. And it is always darkest before the dawn of blessings.. YOU AND YOUR CREW ARE GETTING PREPARED FOR SOMETHING REALLY BIG. I suspect Insurance companies are not making the insane margin they used to due to all the trucks simply not being on the road any more. Instead of scaling down, they're just raising prices for what customers they have left. They know you have no option if you want to keep operating your business. I'm usually not one for regulations, but we definitely need some consumer protections against these thieving insurance mega corporations.

    • @GRANITEMONUMENT
      @GRANITEMONUMENT Год назад +3

      Tim, what the company mean by your policy is “locked down”, was for changes, most likely why the 2011 was not removed from your policy because it was “locked from making changes” , it’s not locked from being able to identify what your premiums are, or what coverage you have., if you agreed to “just keep paying, and we’ll tell you how much later, and this has gone on for months” then you should not be making RUclips videos, or being out working on trucks., you would have every driver return to base, once all trucks are parked, and all drivers are in office, license in hand, you call the insurance and let them know your police is temporarily suspended all trucks are parked and only need coverage to be parked., until, your agent can give you a quote, in fact I would have you and every insured driver meet at THEIR office to “figure it out” ., and you may need to have the wife, be contacting insurance agents every six months,. What ever my current policy is, to switch companies keeping all coverage equivalent deductible the same, a new quote will almost always be cheaper… you need to shop it around CONSTANTLY…

Too bad they aren’t taking accountability - I’d see if you can contact the attorney general in your state. If not, you might want to get an attorney to pick this up to help sort it out since this insurance company can’t seem to get out of their own way and they’re giving you the run around. What their doing is 100% unethical and may even be illegal.

    That insurance is ridiculous!! How do you survive with insurance, rates and fuel like that

    • @Boomhauer333
      @Boomhauer333 Год назад +1

      If load rates don't start picking up there will be a lot of small businesses and independent owner ops leaving the industry.
      I mean, I already see it. So many trucks now are being sold and for a good price, where not that long ago it was hard to find a good deal on a truck.

    You have mostly older trucks without all the safety features on newer equipment, you have your trucks turned way up not goverend.
    Your learning in today's market you either play by the rules or you pay..

    I think the rate has gone up because they passed a bill to allow 18yo drivers from when it was 21 for safety purposes

    • @bowslap
      @bowslap Год назад

      In many states, 18 year-olds COULD obtain a CDL…..but with the caveat of being intrastate, NOT interstate.

    • @cautloa

      @bowslap I was aware of this however my point is that I think that is their reasoning for increasing rates of course this is just speculation.

    I would talk to a lawyer about the insurance , you are paying for their laziness .....Insurance is insane and needs some HEAVY regulations and reconstruction ,the same bs they done to me with my health insurance ... no claims but jumped from 67 a month to 180 then to 462 then tried to jump it to almost 900 ...they are just sooooo greeedy its disgusting

    How did you inspect your truck and trailer and not see the leaking seals on the trailer?
    Do better bud! You get on the scale and that's one of the first things DOT will notice.
