Thanks Johnny, I grew up in Brampton from 1956 - 1966 before moving to the Kitchener area. You walked within 1000 ft of a house my sister lived in, now about 1/4 mile a little farther. This video brought back many memories of the Old Downtown core, sure has change. I really enjoyed this video, like all your others.

@@JohnnyStrides Yup, I'm an old fart. It was a fun time those 10 years we were in Brampton, lived on McLaughlin Rd. That was the end of the western part of town until Northwood Park subdivision was built. :-)

We moved from Brampton to the Kitchener area in 1966, I was 16 and had a girlfriend while attending CPSS. I briefly moved back to Brampton and attended Sheridan Collage. My sister hooked me up with a girl while there. I eventually married her when I had moved back to Kitchener (1972) and she attended Waterloo University. Lot's changed after that my best years for dating was after we got divorced Living in Boise Idaho.
Married now, since 1998.
I lived in Brampton from 1970 until 1992. Ahhhhh the good old days. Thanks for this posting from far away on Vancouver Island.👍🏾

We move out in 1966 to the Kitchener area, then Mississauga, before moving west, Boise Idaho in 1978.
Brampton sure changed from the 10 year I lived there. I was 7-17 years old back then.

I agree, the lrt should have continued north of Steeles. Although hard to imagine from this video, Brampton becomes gridlocked at certain times of the day.
Gvmnt wants less cars on the road then undermine a solution.
The stretch of Main Street between Steeles and Queen has the homes of some deep pocketed NIMBYs. Everyone else wants the LRT but they don't want to have to look out at track infrastructure, and because Brampton's city council is more beholden to them than regular citizens, we're here now.

Not me it's the worst place in this provence that I have ever lived. Full of crime and theres f all to do. I'm from a small town and can't wait to get the heck out of here. This city is a complete dump shootings are on a daily basis here. Not such a nice place to live I freaking hate this city... Only thing here is work. But the price of rent will starve you....

I would take the KW area over Brampton. I lived in that area for a few years before moving west, Idaho.

Since I’ll be visiting Brampton in a year, I thought your video was interesting. I’m really more than a bit surprised at the number of small parks in such a relatively small area. I’ll hope to visit some myself.

I am coming in Mississauga..... from where are you originally?
There was a single Brampton council a few years ago that ruined the LRT project. Every council since then has been pushing hard to get the Shoppers World stop moved north of Steeles, and the extend the LRT into downtown (though they really want a tunnel in that section). The problem is Metrolinx and the province are now not cooperating as much with the city.

@@haariskhan5307 I would love to move back to Montreal but since my husband doesn't speak french we will stay here. The next place would be in Sarina the lake is wonderful you can go swimming or fishing sailing on it etc. and the place is quiet safe and clean. Dating as far as I know is done online. Instagram is the best for that because the person can see your photo's right away and then you can chat on line safely for a while before meeting up. I have seen lots of people exchange social apps info rather than phone number. You can always block the person if your not interested. xoxo
