PSA for people about to buy, check the 1% lows first and foremost. If it goes below 60fps, that's the stutter that you feel. So although the ryzen 3600 could be gotten for cheap 2nd hand, it has bad 1% lows in a couple of games. Better go 5500 or 5600.

Thanks for the heads up. I was doubting which one is better, since 5500 is slightly cheaper than 3600 here.. I'm not sure which one I should go for.

@grindawgrinjaw6027 I'd honestly go 5500 on a budget. However the 5600 does have slightly more features (don't think 5500 supports PCIe 4.0)

Some feedback for you. This video was released a month ago but you have csgo still in the benchmarks and yet cs2 was released in september of last year. You should really be putting when these benchmarks were taken as there have been loads of updates to not only drivers but games so the fps in the games could be way off

Damn. The R5 3600 might be my best investment yet. Still rocking it after 4 years. Even in the 1080p results (the most demanding resolution for CPU), 3600 still trades blow with Zen 3. Pair it with a more powerful GPU, then you got yourself a very capable 1440p/4K CPU. Truly a beast.

Same here. I find it difficult to upgrade my CPU to any of the 5000 series. The uplift in frames per seconds isn't much so I can't justify spending to upgrade.

Keep in mind : older CPU with newer GPU = use faster ram to maximise FPS in many games. If these tests were done with 3600mhz ram or faster, the 5600 would have more of a lead.

When testing cpus, you want to test them with the best possible gpu, this will show you how powerful the cpu is because the gpu won’t be as stressed so fps difference would be guaranteed to be because of the cpu and not because a gpu is suddenly struggling

El cache L3 es un tipo de memoria que usa el procesador para almacenar información. Es una memoria muy rapida (pero mas lenta que la L1 y L2). Tener mas memoria cache hace que el procesador sea mas rapido.
