I'm on my second Multistrada 950. First was a 2017 model...but when the 2019 models came out and had all the mind-blowing upgrades (Skyhook suspension, LED lights, TFT full color dash, hydraulic clutch, cruise control, 6-axis IMU, auto-canceling turn signals, the list goes on) I had to have it. I got the 950S with the touring kit and it, for me, is absolute perfection. It is as if an engineer and an artist came to me and said, "we want to build you your perfect bike." The new bike is sharp, for sure, but I've already found my forever bike. This is coming from a guy who started out on dirt bikes doing a little motocross in the 1970's/80's and then rode cruisers from 1987 till 2018. The cruisers just got boring...the Multistrada reignited my love for riding. Bellissimo!!

I love it. I definitely like it better than the old one.

I liked the look of the old one better, but I like this engine better. Not because of performance, both have plenty, but because of the simplicity of maintenance. I saw that valve checks are now every 40k miles if you feel like it. Also, no more cam belts to replace. This means change the oil and ride. My kinda bike.
I only wish they would have put the pegs more forward and maybe a little lower. The bent up legs is fine to hit the twisties, but not so great for the ride there and back. And with all the available luggage, this would otherwise make a great touring bike.

Be great if the new engine can keep the performance and excitement of the high end of the outgoing model and also make it less of a handful for city town work. Dont get me wrong the existing model is very manageable in the city and has great balance at slow speed but really does not like being under 4K revs and the clutch can become tiring when stuck in traffic. Looking forward to getting a ride on one asap. fingers crossed.

Yeah, the Testastretta really hated the low revs. In the end that combined with the desmos (and the heat from cylinder 2) made me look elsewhere. This version will be interesting to say the least, well done Bologna.

@@903lew Yes, as much as I love the Testastretta, it's not the best option for a touring bike. It's one of the reasons I sold my 950 S Multistrada. Amazing do it all bike with very sporty credentials, but not really happy just cruising. The new V2 might do this better, but I fear it might lose some of its character. But we will see.

Roughly speaking fuel ⛽️ will be .75 kg per litre. 19L tank, let’s say 16kg max. How did you get 20kg?

German says “V2” over and over again and I have images of rockets 🚀. These new models are “wunderweapons” in the right hands for “blitzing” down Strasse und Strada.

Too bad the S version doesn't have a single side swing arm and 17 in front wheel like the V4 Pikes Peak

23 litre fuel tank would have been better. Oh well maybe on the next model Desert X they will.

That 'military' green looks good - bit more character than the std Ducati red. The V2S should be the std version, and at the std price whatever that will be.
