Had a question: will there be an audiobook version? I just finished Ashes of Man. Basically listened to every book in the main series back-to-back and am blown away.

Hello, I was looking at amazon and saw that Empire of Silence is sold out(which is great!), and the cover on Amazon for paperback doesn't really match the one I've seen for Empire of Silence everywhere. So my question is, did the cover get changed with the new copies being printed right now, or will the other cover be back in stock with the new printed copies? And sorry if this is a dumb question haha, I am not familiar with the printing/publishing/etc process at all haha. Thanks!
Great question! You are probably looking at the UK edition, as opposed to the US--or vice versa. The UK one is blue and has a black silhouette, while the US one is purple with the Romanesque suit of armor on it. The US edition is the one currently out of print, and it should be back any day now.
I'll miss the glossary, but I understand why it has to go. I'll be buying the e-ARC for sure (on top of getting a hardcover later), especially if it gives me the opportunity to nitpick typos.

Christopher I just finished reading Book of the New Sun……and boy do I have questions. The biggest one I wanted to ask you is this. (Spoiler warning for those who haven’t read BOTNS) Why is it that when the Alzabo potion is used at the feast in book two it is rightly portrayed as an occult ritual and a very evil act, however in book four when Severian consumes part of the brain of someone it’s shown as the right thing or needed in that moment. That really surprised me since I generally believe cannibalism is wrong and thought that the book has been presenting a similar view up to that point…. Thanks for any insight you can provide. I did love the books overall but I have many questions 😅
Man, that's a really big question. I'll try and do it shortly. But Wolfe's treatment of cannibalism is kind of ambiguous because it's really wrapped up in Catholic Eucharist symbolism (in which we eat the Body of Christ). Vodalus and his ilk are usurping the power of the sacramentals and trying to use it for evil ends, to obtain power and knowledge in this life, and for pleasure, whereas the Autarch is a deputy of the hierodules (the angels, the 'holy slaves' of God), and so the sacrament of creating an Autarch is essentially allowed because the angels said so.
