I had not realised just how much I missed Sun Eater until I heard this. Even though I had finished book 5 two months ago I was still missing Hadrian, his tale, not of the Legend of Half-Mortal but of the man inside of the matryoshka doll of his story and legends.
At this point I can read anything and everything this man spews out!
Incredible work as ever. I just began Ashes of Man on my latest re-read, now including all offshoots, extras and ancillaries, and was just yesterday struck by the rather pleasant notion that I would still be revisiting these passages many years hence. Thank you.

This was incredible! Had me excited to start my rereading journey!
Just finished The Lesser Devil (SPOILERS in my comment) and…
…oh boy. The part where Crispin first says Hadrian will avenge them… after he had said earlier that he wished Hadrian was safe and well despite being lost… I was unready for that emotional gut punch hahaha.
I had kind of thought in the scene before Hadrian escaped that maybe Crispin was trying to tease him a bit and wasn’t trying to be malicious intentionally. My own social skills suck and I know I’ve horrifically offended people trying to playfully tease people. But I did not expect that Crispin had that much love and admiration for his brother and that love was so pure that in a moment he thought he might die he would think of his big brother and imagine Hadrian as this protective older brother who cares about him too. Just devastating that it was so one sided. But also really really much hoping they truly become brothers beyond just blood.
After finishing I had to come back here and relisten to see if the patrician’s name matched that of the Catholic Frenchman in any way.
There are a hundred other things, but I’ll stop gushing for now.

Really bummed the audiobook wasn’t coming out for a while as it was a great listen while I was working. then I realized I really do enjoy sitting down and reading a good book. Preordered it and I’m going to do just that.

On Hadrian's age being 616 standard years. You might be aware that one of the manuscripts for the book of revelations mistakenly read that the number of the beast was 616. Is there a purposeful connection?
Hadrian's ages are always meaningful.

I had thought that Disquiet Gods would be longer than Demon in White according to some interviews I may misremember. On Amazon it says it's 704 pages however. Was I wrong with my assumption ?
It is about 3000 words shorter.
If i havent read the Lorian novella, will i be behind for this book?
I read it, and the chances of it being essential to the story are low. That said, it was a good book. Definitiely scratched that sun eater itch at least for a litte while.
Nope. The novellas are not mandatory.
