Food for thought. I don't post a lot of videos but what I did, was make a GoPro Mount and a phone attachment on to my radios. So I just point my radio at the rig that way I can easily rear steer and video. Love your videos! Cheers from Duchesne, Utah

Nice I will watch this later on tonight, I get my parts tomorrow I copied you , so far I did the motor with the pinion gear 11 tooth, I'm waiting for the overdrive gear set and rear stock gear set just harden steel as well as the front brass portal and knuckles, SSD wheels with proline trepadors.
Looks sweet, works well, and can't wait to see the next version.
I have a Capra with your 3 link kit and AR45 portals from a 10.3. With 90mm shocks it looks great and seems to work well so far.
you can underdrive the rear ring and pinion.

I have my rear steer on a three position switch. Left/right and straight. Just allows me to use it easily with the thumb rather than a dial.
I just finished a Capra build where I used Rock Pirates Interceptor skid plate to mount a 3 gear Amazon transmission with dig, swapped trx4 axles with a servo on axle mount, over drive front, underdrive rear, stretched wheel base, 1.9 trepadors on Amazon deep dish wheels, 90mm shocks, & a fusion se 💯👌🏼
To make life a bit easier, I think Sidney could hold the cell phone for you 😁
I hope my question makes sense, but when adding the fusion where do you run the lights?
Even pinioned down with Fusion SE, my Capra 4WS is faster than I want it to be. I currently have 37% OD installed and thinking of underdriving f and r ring and pinion if I can find some that will work
Hey Logan. If I ended up getting desert lizard shocks would I recommend 90mm or 100mm. Let me know your thoughts thanks.

Hey Logan, nice Capra have a Question about f9 axles gears should I go with underdrive gears in the rear or stick with stock gears. Doing overdrive portal gears in the front it is for an rock pirates build. Mike and going with a 3 gear trans
Overdrive the front with a 3 gear it will be plenty slow

With the iphone, the videos seem very over-exposed, washed out. Maybe need a filter or polarizer? Dunno, I'm far from a video expert.
For whatever reason my editor does that with the imported footage. I can’t get it to look right tweaking the settings. I hate it too lol
@@westdesertwheelerwhat editor do you use? I know iPhones if turned on will shoot in a form where the color needs to be adjusted in post (Dolby vision I think) when properly converted it should look normal
I got an old AX10 3 gear in a WDW 3 link Capra and a Vanquish 3 gear in a WDW 4ws winch/suck down Capra. Both on a Vader skid plate. Love them
Really like your videos and the quality videos you put out but these overexposed videos are hard to watch lol. Couldn’t even get past 10 minutes on this one.
What is your opinion on a rear link riser? I noticed you didn't run one on this build.

For increasing the wheelbase do you add the 5525 just to the axle end of the links?
Either end will work, if you add links to both sides uay need to extend driveshaft as well I can't remember
I have a 1/18 Scale Capra that I want to build. Is there a set of parts that you would recommend to make it super functional?
This isn't a shot by any means but I'd rather wait for a video than have you film on the iPhone again, it washes out so bad that I can barely see the terrain
so when you cut and shut the tires is it for width of the tire ? and are you making the tire bigger or smaller ?
Shocks had not struggling the whole time
I did an axe 1400 kv and pinioned up. the axe 2100 with 11 tooth 32 pitch was great but the low speed of a 1400 kv axe with 14 to 17 and 12.5 or 46 percent overdrive right now. might add 12.5 to the rear and the 46 to the front for 33.5 front overdrive.
desert lizard droop shocks , reefs 777 front 444 rear, SSD kuckles with amazon heavy brass filed down to fit together for a few extra grams. Last thing is I have kept the dig with an 8.4 volt micro servo from homes hobby with the servo saver.
Top rig tied with my VRD carbon. they both clear a few lines the other truck can't touch so still trying to declair and overall winner.

Why did you take the treps off do these tires work better
This car never had Trepadors. I have many tires and swap often. This set was made specifically for this car with these wheels

Any concerns on over stressing/burning up the BEC in the Fusion with two steering servos? Want to go this route but don’t want to cook the BEC.
I’ve never cooked one. Definitely a good idea to add an external bec but this is short term for this video
I just asked Hobbywing this question, and this is the reply I got back.
Typically not. But with super high power servos, maybe. "Size" of the BEC tends to come down to amp rating. The "more" amps you have, the stronger the BEC is. You can't really have "too much."
Adding a BEC requires special wiring, so be sure to read the manual for the BEC carefully and follow all the needed wiring changes.
