I just tried it, in case you haven't, yes, if it has the option to activate achievements, just enter your account, save the settings, skip retroarch, enter retroarch and enter a game and that's it.

I seem to already have the retroarch folder from playing games that use the retro arch virtual menu and there is even a folders and files on it that the downloaded retroarch folder doesn't have and vise-versa, what do I do?
I followed everything right and my retroarch dont stop the "arm11 (core 0 ) translation error" . When I tried to load content it crashed, reinstalled then the app wasnt oppening and after that just crashes when I click on donwload folder after load content. I just cant get it to work right.
What's killing me here is that I have retroarch downloaded on my 3ds via Universal Updater. I can see it in my FBI but I can't get it to install and I can't find a guide anywhere.

@@BelowAverageGaming I am having the same issue. It is not compressed so you can't extract it, and I do have 7zip installed because I used it a lot during the modding process.

Hey I know how to download twilight but do you know how to install NDS core for retroarch? Its because i want to get retroachievments for my NDS titles on retroarch.
I put 3DS and DS games on the SD card but they don't show up in the downloads folder once it's inserted into my 3DS. Am I don't something wrong? I added them the same way I added games from other systems which do show up.

I’d recommend that if you’re trying to emulate NES/SNES games, twilight menu would be a better option. Retroarch should be used for PS1 games and such. Hope this helps despite my response being a quarter year later…
Any recommendations if you're having input issues? My controls haven't been configured properly. The right on the dpad and B button are messed up. Can I configure them myself? Any help appreciated

how do i increse he speed of the games i play i try to increase the frame and throttle and even set to hot key but doesnt seem to go faster on any of the gba games or game boy games i play. ps the videos you make fucking rock.
Not sure honestly, never really messed with the speed function Try opening up the retro arch menu mid game and see if you can adjust in the settings from there
tried this with a gba game and it got to the game's title screen but as soon as it went past that, I got a fatal error screen saying an exception occurred and that the exception type was "data abort" I have no idea where to go from here..
@@OCELOT_2221 Sounds like it has to do with the installation of retro arch. Make sure your SD card isn't locked and I would delete and reinstall retroarch

It seems you have been living under a rock Nintendo close the eshop and so you cannot access anymore games from the virtual console plus there were not alot virtual games

How do you switch discs through the forwarder? Whenever I try to do it, it crashes or resets and goes back to disc 1

I read somewhere that ps1 games should be compressed to chd. Runs faster. Haven't tried it myself yet.

The GameBoy game you downloaded never showed up. Never saw a "Gboy" folder, which you created in the "downloads" folder you created earlier on.

Each emulator should have their own configurable settings with the emulator it self

As well it is mame running on a 3ds So not every gamble run smoothly or at all.

If you're having trouble getting it to load, you could always just go in the universal updater and download it through there
