@@M3rtyville Yeah, i forgot about them. Visions seem to be a fusion of Destiny heroes and Crystal beasts. And Xtra heroes are Link monsters. That's it.
During Jaden and Koyo Hibiki’s first duel, Jaden played a HERO deck much similar to his anime counterpart. So you could make the case that his extra deck would be similar minus the Neos fusions
Master Rule 5.2 HERO deck has an unlimited extra deck. But they can only use HERO cards or cards that are related to it directly. No generic handtrap, no non-engine, and pure HEROES both main and extra deck.
Anki is also the better choice considering how it's blatantly a reference to Kamen Rider Hibiki, where all of the oni/Riders in the series have their title end with "鬼" to create a "-ki" name scheme (Hibiki, Ibuki, Todoroki and Zanki for the main Riders but because of the worldbuilding of the series a ton of other Riders get namedropped or brief appearances and they all follow this name scheme). Keeping Anki as-is makes for the most elegant way to translate the reference. A lot of the Masked HERO cards are far less specific in their references that it's tough to actually pinpoint what they're referencing and especially tricky since you have to keep in mind the time period they were first drawn, If Dark Law were printed yesterday, it would be easy to assume it's based on Kamen Rider Vulcan. The manga artist also seemed to (usually) be more subtle with the references. Sometimes you get Anki or Contrast HERO Chaos which are blatantly obvious where the inspiration comes and sometimes you get something like Acid where you have to squint and analyze the small bits and say, "Probably Kamen Rider Drake? It has an asymmetrical design, a blue outfit with a gun and the silhouette is kinda close." I think that more than some obscure comic book character the artist likely has never even heard of, the most plausible inspiration for Dark Law is Faiz, but put through a few filters - namely, that it's Faiz except with wolf elements added in because Faiz is also the Wolf Orphnoch. The pose Dark Law is in is almost always resembling Faiz' iconic leaning pose.
For situations like Flame Wingman and Phoenix Enforcer, why not just break the diagonal symmetry of the grid? Currently Flame Wingman holds two spots because of the formatting, but that doesn't need to be the case

Anime Jaden and Manga Jaden are 2 different characters just with the same name and design, also manga Jaden's deck additionally had Elemental HERO Core for the original and Contrast HERO Chaos for the Masked HERO deck

When I had the chance to build a hero deck in legacy I feel in love with the Omni and Masked Hero's, feels so fun to bring out the right tool from my extra deck to deal with the opponent I face.
The manga is its own continuity, Jaden never got Neos in the manga. He changed his Deck to Masked HEROs instead of added the Neos cards to his hero deck
Well he did just bring up one of aster's cards at the end, since aster also used the elemental heroes but used different fusions that Jaiden didn't have such as Phoenix enforcer and it's shining variant (aster used the ones that Jaiden never does as Jaden doesn't have them but then aster fully swapped to his destiny heroes)
@@bulbaa2241Makes me wish they took their time with his cards. Like have him show off a few variants of Jaden's fusions first before bringing out the Destiny heroes.
While Phoenix Enforcer is definitely a thing, it was never played by Jaden. Aster was also playing elemental heroes at the beginning of season 2 and he played both Phoenix Enforcer (Avian+Burstinatrix) and Shining Pheonix Enforcer (Phoenix Enforcer+Sparkman), to the surprise of Jadan. So it's safe to assume that neither of them were in Jaden's deck.
Are we gonna count Pheonix Enforcer as one, bc I am pretty sure only Aster used it in the anime. Also others already noted abt Contrast HERO at the end of the manga. What abt Vision and Xtra, I believe only Aster used Vision HERO in the manga. Cross Crusader also clearly states "Destiny HERO" in it's txt, so would Xtra also be an Aster exclusive? Most the Xtra HEROs are dark attribute similar to the Destiny HEROs except for Wonder Driver.
I think Manga Jaden didn't use his old Extra Deck. The only time he used his old Extra Deck(A. K. A. the Anime HERO cards, minus Evil Hero & Neos) is when he's a kid, Vs Kouyo. After Kouyo give his deck to Jaden, Jaden never tinker with it so he put no old Extra Deck from his childhood Hero Deck. As for his Masked Hero deck, he didn't put Kouyo's Extra Deck inside the Extra. Which means, Masked Hero Deck is separated from Kouyo's Elemental Hero deck, except for Winged Kuriboh. That card is a must for Jaden
Still got neos versions too my binder of 50 sheets cant even hold all the elemental hero extra deck i use to run a extra deck of 45 tile the limiter was added to 15
Actually, the Masked HERO's, unlike the Elemental HERO's are based on the Kamen Rider Franchise instead of regular comic books, though i guess Kamen Rider has had a good amount of Mangas too but theyre mostly live action
Fun fact, jaden could have a 15 card extra deck, but he would have to swap out cards. If you look at "specific requirement fusions" then jaden did, before neos have 15 fusions. It wasnt until like season two that his extra deck exploded.
I know heroes have enough monsters, but I want all these variations to be finished: Remaining NEX upgrades for NEOS Specials and their corresponding Neos Fusion upgrade Remaining Evil Hero counterpart that should reasonably exist The 'Metamorphisis' upgrades without the need of the spell that is banned. Remaining anime support like that awful Bursttrinitix support card or Clayman's go-kart And of course remaining Mask Change upgrades.
I'm convinced at this point that in the anime an extra deck/fusion deck doesn't exist & the Kaiba corp software just generates fusions or similar conditional cards as needed. Like, I refuse to believe that Dark Sage was a real card & Yugi had it in his deck on the off-chance the overwhelmingly specific conditions were met, it was definitely just Kaiba fucking with Joey.
@@MrEntaray Exactly the same. The software, or the duel spirits maybe, just naturally have their effect by their own nature. Kinda like how in Duelist Kingdom you had absurd shit like a moon causing high tides which strengthens aquatic monsters, it's just what the spirits do.

I really wish the og E-HEROES got more fusions between them as it would’ve been cool imo to have the base handful of heroes be more connected. Like fusion combos like Wild Heart and Burstinatrix or Necroshade. Avian Sparkman and Wild Heart. Bladedge and Burstinatrix etc. Also more consistency among the existing ones, and some retrained better effects because Christ they are bad in some cases. I think they could’ve had any LvL 4 HERO fusions have no more than 2000 ATK or DEF but with unique effects to counter that (and can be summoned outside of Fusion in someway). The LvL 5-6 ones could have up to late 2000 level ATK or DEF values with reasonable effects for those levels. The LvL 7 group should consist of as few as the LvL 4 group and be the last “2 materials” monsters, these should be powerful but in specific areas of the games play state, and have at most early 3k ATK or DEF. Level 8-9 should require 3 monsters period, have up to late 3k ATK or DEF values and have very strong effects but with other aspects that open unique combos. The only LvL 10 should be Electrum with 4K ATK and 35K DEF, and some slight changes to his effect just personally that I think would work. These parameters are general and could be slightly different for specific cases, such as Mudball having the highest defence besides Electrum. Also, a Flame Wingman and Necroshade fusion would’ve been sick along with a Bladedge one too.
Extra deck limit is only in the card game and does not apply in anime. I don't really remember that there's extra deck card limit mentioned or something. That's just made up for the physical card game.
