I think that "Reduction Barrier" couldn't get printed because it makes one instance of damage become one tenth of it instead or 10% of the damage you would have taken. This is simply because Yugioh players already struggle with basic maths, so this would be astronomically difficult to figure out. Imagine like us doing 10% of flying castle of darkness (or whatever its name is) and have to subtract that from our life points. Crazy.
@@unclepera2893 The castle's atk ends on a 5, so you would have to deal with decimal numbers IN YUGIOH. I don't think Neuron has such a feature. Just imagine having to do subtraction WITH DECIMALS AS A YUGIOH PLAYER. IN...FUCKING...SANE!
@@NoirEmperor18 If you get stuff halved enough times official games iirc will actually round and never take a decimal. I forget if it rounds up or down, but it will happen if you keep halving till you get to single digits LP.
Its kinda crazy that literally any deck can play ivy bind castle. Even when it destroys itself due to you not tributing a predaplant you've already skipped the opponent's turn once and probably have lethal on board already. Imagine literally any meta endboard, but add on a one-sided skill drain + imperial order + royal decree. At least with Mystic Mine it affects both players so you have to build around it.
Ivy Bind is stupid broken with the anime version of Z-One because you can blow Z-One up with a card like MST to have it gain the effects of Bind Castle and due to Z-One havinf an effect that it can’t be destroyed by card effects, it stays on the field having all the effects of Bind Castle, meaning that it’s a one sided Mystic Mine but only for your opponent lol
Judgment arrows can easily have it's effect re-written to be "in this card's Column and adjacent zone". The op part is the link arrows. but if you remove the link arrows you kinda destroy the identity of the card to the point there is no reason to print it.
@@djt08031996Yeah judgement arrows doesn't seem that bad and even then I'd like spell and traps with link arrows. I think it harkens to the original balance idea akin to XYZ monsters where the monsters effects only would affect those the arrows are pointing to, so position matters and if you have to keep a position open for them. Even if it sounds like a non issue if you could imagine the spells doing nothing at all unless an arrow points to them but having stronger effects to justify them, Judgement arrows would force you to not only play links, but also have link monsters in the main monster zone so that's two layers of integrated balance to consider. Links are really powerful cause they forgot to mechanically balance them like they did Fusion (requires polymerization), Syncrhos (requires tuners), and XYZ (limited uses and delayed graveyard placement). If Links had a mechanical limitation to their summon condition or effects, then the spells and traps with link arrows would be a fantastic mechanic for Link decks.
@@MarioMastarLink Traps are an excellent idea! You must Activate this card so it Co-Linked (you may move this trap to another Spell/Trap Zone on activation)
Maybe give it this effect too: "You cannot Summon monsters to zones this card points to, except Link monsters. Also, you cannot Summon Link monsters, unless those monsters are Co-Linked."
Power Balance is also too OP for the TCG. When you have no cards in hand (infernity would love it!), you flip it and your opponent discards half the cards in their hand, then you draw the same number that they discarded. Yes, I would love to go +5 off a single card.
Weeeeeeeeeell. If you go first you actually draw 3 not 5 since the opponent would have 6 cards in hand. But if they have activated any handtraps on your turn, then you get like 1 or maybe 2. Also it is a trap that requires you to have no hand. Plus, in today'a age having your opponent send cards to the gy isn't really a good idea, except for only certain decks that don't have many gy effects.
@CrimsonConqueror look, i play wiraqocha floo, and let me tell you, sending 3 cards from my opponents hand at start of duel normally spells defeat to them 90% of the time. The other 10% probably still lose anyway, but they will try and bounce back.
In Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds anime there are three cards used by misty Treadwell Sorrowful memories unwavering truth and sorrowful chain One of them says if either player draws a monster card during the draw phase they shuffle it back into the deck The second one is for spells the third is for traps with these 3 cards neither player can have their draw phase
Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories, Sad Story - Unwavering Truth, Sad Story - Atrocious Day, and Sad Story - Sorrowful Chain. They're all parts of Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings.
Here's one you didn't mention. The pillager. Appearing in the first season of the duel monsters era, bandit Keith plays this card against Joey in the semi finals. The pillager allows a player to look at his or her opponents hand and take one card to add to their own hand.
we thought numbers evaille was too broken to be printed but they did it. so imho almost anything is really on the table in terms of effect or power. theres a few mechanics that cant be printed though like the upside down effects of original arcana force monsters. this is a fun type of video :D
I'm still waiting for performage support and Trapeze witch to be printed to work with the Xyz Trapeze magician. along the other unreleased performage cards that can be Reworked to Work in performage niche strategy.
Ah yes, the Nibelung cards. I remember having a deck using "anime only" cards as well in YGOPro back in the day. An Exodia deck that is. It had the 3-3 copies of the Nibelung cards, 3 copies of Royal Magical Library, the bamboo swords, and 3-3 copies of 2 more anime only cards: "Spellbook inside the pot" Effect: both players draw 3 cards. "Magician's Library" Effect: add 1 spell card from your deck to your hand. That deck was so damn consistent, I never required any extra turn. Any one of the 9 draw cards mentioned here would be too broken to print. The ring was just... a collateral. Also, the first version of Nibelung's treasure was worder differently. It didn't necessarily require Nibelung's Ring. It just stated that I had to give a spell card from my deck to my opponent who has to activate it on their field at once if it meets it's activation condition. Meaning I could just give them the "Spellbook inside the pot", have them draw 3, while I draw 8. It was an insane engine.
Judgement arrows would be bad even if printed with its anime effect. Link and Pendulum decks do not need the extra link arrows to function properly and the Limiter Removal like effect, while cute, is irrelevant when you're killing your opponent in a single turn with Borrelsword or Accesscode.
To make Ivy Bind Castle not that broken. Having the clause, that you can only SS or activate the effects of Predaplant Monsters for the rest of the turn or the duel might fix it.
Umm...no Modern Predaplant can already flood the board with strong monsters, a floodgate, a Kaiju, a removal, and a beatstick that I've personally reached 64,800 with, with several spare materials. Ivy Bind Castle's most broken part is that it's paired with an archetype that can just flood materials like it's nothing Meanwhile Mayakashis & Shiranuis get an even stronger version of Winda as a trap, and it doesn't see any play due to being attached to such fragile/slow and xenophobic archetypes
Judgment arrows seems like the most passable the one thing I would change is the attack gain. Maybe during the battle phase if a L.M battles a monster, it gains half of its own attack or gain 300 attack for each of that monster's links.
Making a monster big isnt really a problem, and the card itself already has a requirement that makes it not abuse links. The problem with judgement arrows is simply that it is a whole new mechanic for just 1 card.
doubling a monster's attack isn't that bad, cyber dragons have been doing this for as long as i can remember and OTKing your opponent is not hard today. It's an nearly unsearchable brick on turn 1
Also, Noah's Arc deck master effect is batshit. It is necrocosmos on crack, meaning that it CAPTURES all monsters sent to the gy and you can RELEASE THEM in order to gain 500 lp for monster banished. Imagine that being a continuous spell that cannot be removed, because that is what deck masters are like.
@@klockenberg2299 Well, when you can summon all monsters in both gy's at the snap of your fingers and gain life from it, I would say that it is pretty close, if not even better.
@@klockenberg2299 I searched it and it is actually Shinato's ark. And here is the effect. Hold your horses. Shinato's Ark This card is treated as a Monster Card (???-Type/???/???/ATK ???/DEF ???). Any monsters sent to the Graveyard can instead be equipped to this card (this does not count towards the Spell & Trap Card Zone limit). When an opponent's monster attacks while you control no monster(s), you can Special Summon 1 monster equipped to this card in Defense Position for each face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls. Once per each player's turn, you can banish any number of monsters equipped to this card and gain 500 Life Points for each removed monster. When this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane" from your hand or Deck and treat it as your Deck Master.
"Spell Sanctuary" I think would be neat as a once per turn. As for the search, it could lock players out for the turn involving that name added an only allows normal spells to be turned.
There's two of them Cards of fate - You drew the cards the same Number as a dice, Then you mills the same amount Star blaster - Tribute one monster and roll a die, Then you can summon a monster with the same total amount of the tributed monster's level and the result of the die. (I.E Joey tribute a scapegoat token(LVL1) then the dice result was 6, 6+1 = 7, Then he can summon 1 level 7 monster)
For the Gladiator Beast Assault Forts.... they would probably make the second text-box it's own separate card and make it so that instead of "transforming" your other Gladiator Beast spells and traps into that card, you ditch a couple to activate some copies of it from your deck. That would be a reasonable way to adjust.... ONE of the details about that card. Underworld Circle might be able to be done by making it normal Special summons (that don't ignore summoning requirements) and requiring both players to have a number of monsters in their GY already to activate. Judgment Arrows actually isn't to much of a big deal since big ATK isn't as important irl then it is in the anime.... so it's only real plus for you is more Link arrows.... which require you to already do some link shenanigans to activate on a not-very searchable card. Ivy Bind Castle, Nibelung's Treasure and Spell Sanctuary however..... yeah, those would require much heavier overhauls.
Having watched Vrains it's terrifying to think we got a nerfed version of Gumblar, it's awesome when the cards do the same thing but I'm glad for the most part there's a limit on the blowout cards.
Ironically, the Egyptian Gods would get shredded in the modern era. The problem is each card only has so much space to type all 52-65 effects on the card
I was actually surprised *Time Fusion* wasn't included here. Its a normal Spell Card that can summon *ANY* Fusion monster from the Extra deck ignoring the summoning conditions. Its like Gold Sarcophagus but on Fusion support and you only need to wait for 1 turn at the cost of -1 (which is banishing one card from your own hand) and doesn't have a hard once per turn restriction. Definitely beyond broken if you ask me.
there was one card that stops the entire duel and forces both players to continue the match while skydiving. that was all. it does not give either player any advantage. just CARD GAMES WHILE SKYDIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Id like to add Supreme King Brutality- Basicaly look at your opponents hand and destroy cards up to the number of Supreme King cards you control (Anime Zarc sent 4). Also Anime Zarc is super busted
Fair Exchange (Clark Smith - 5DS) Spell Card Send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. Your opponent sends cards from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard equal to the combined Levels of any monsters sent to the Graveyard this way. This card would enable mill decks, either milling yourself 3 cards, or highrolling high levels and milling your opponent a lot. Elegant Light Lvl 4 (Howard X Miller - 5DS) Trap card When this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Deck. Ok... summon from deck is busted now, makes Foolish Burial Goods a one-card combo in so many decks. Raise the Woof (Pip - Zexal) Spell Card Shield Wall (Gurimo - Duel Monsters) Quick Play Both are Spell cards which summon 4 tokens (Raise the Woof with the restriction of not having Level 3 or higher monsters and Shield wall is a Quickplay, both having the restriction of cannot be tributed) then, Scapegoat without the restriction of Summoning. Giant Flood (Noah - Duel Monsters) Spell Card Activate only during your Main Phase 1. Send all monsters on the field and from both players' hands to the Graveyard. Field Removal without destroying plus discarding, it is kinda balanced because it is for both players but you might play around it.
Spell Sanctuary was just there to keep the duel as close to the manga as possible because in other duels, they could change the spells to trap cards. or replace some of them with similar effects and it would not change too much of the narrative in the manga, the rule stated that you're only allowed to either play or set 1 spell and 1 trap per turn - if you want to use 2 of the same type, you must have already set 1 of them from the previous turn. You can also activate a set spell card in your opponent's turn. for example: Yugi could only set a Spell Binding Circle (spell) and Magic Cylinder (trap) in a turn in his fight with the doll dude in the anime adaptation, both cards were trap cards, which match irl cards (this nullifies the original rule - which was one of the reasons some fans thought they were smarter than the characters.) in this particular duel, a lot of cards are too much to change so they just created this card to justify keeping the spell cards as they were.
Judgment Arrows doesn't have a very good effect as far as the modern game is considered. However, the fact it gives you 3 free Link Arrows without committing resources would make it played a lot.
Spell sanctuary would actually be the most broken of all these if you think about it or have ever used it in anime duels on ygopro but things like underworld circle could be released and so could judgment arrows. Underworld circle might need to be changed to only work if you have less than 1000 lp or something to prevent abuse, but judgment arrows serms to already be ok as it is, of course itd prolly be limited instantly but it already has a fair cost...
I want to go down the one at a time myself too. Ivy bind is 100% Printable, an Archetypal skill drain is Konami's favorite answer for legacy support. I'd argue it'd even be kind of mid because as a floodgate it outs itself unless you play predaplants and you'd only use this out of archetype if you were a blind second deck and sided it in in-case your opponent made you go first so you can OTK on T3 after it pops itself. Judgement Arrows is terrible. Sure, it's a neat atk boost but every modern link monster is printed with very compatible arrows and that's usually not an issue, the fact that it points to 3 zones means it'll probably just enable Extra Linking but Underworld goddes exists and it removing the monsters it points to if it's popped is devastating. Obviously you'd need the searcher guy to use this but him being a monster with 3 upward arrows and needing battle destruction makes it functionally unsearchable, you read something like Branded Loss or Tearlaments Scream and it's pretty obvious this card doesn't really mesh with Yugioh. Spell Sanctuary is absolutely broken and probably shouldn't be printed, however, this card letting your opponent also search and letting them immediately activate spells in their hand is killer, they could search backrow removal to out it if this is an issue if you use it to search a combo starter they can always ignore it and search their own board wipe or if you're a combo deck, imagine wuixk effect Dark Ruler No More 🙃 Turns out being nice to your opponent is too balanced in Yugioh. Nibelung is also funny and 100% an anime style effect, but what's funny is that because you have to give your opponent a monster before you set this up turn 1, it's actually probably okay solely because it would be more a going second engine. Also the ring being a hard garnet hurts a lot since drawing it whiffs all copies of treasure and it alone does nothing. The funny thing about Treasure is it's functionally targets on resolution and negates any monster on the field. Sure you can't out untargetable bosses since to equip a card is to target it, but it would trade 1:1 with cards like Baronne. Underworld Circle has no howevers, never let that card exist, you could delete every other effect on that card except the fissure their deck an would be an auto win 99% of the time it resolves. As crazy as that Gladiator beats card there is one Minor, minor issue. You're playing gladiator beasts, you're never activating that trap because your opponent will just wipe your monsters or force you to crash to activate it. Let's say it had no activation condition and didn't pop everything non-gladiator beast you controlled it would still be kind of whelming, let's break it down. You have to have a critical mass of your Continuous backrow to special summons name from decks, honestly even if you just had this one trap that's fine, but too bad it doesn't treat itself as a Gladiator Beast monster so whatever you summon is a Vanilla. The floating gets rid if your other backrow and monsters, no. That effect will never be worth triggering unless your opponent decides to desk with everything else on your field before this trap. For Text Box 2 it's more of the same except it's worse because it didn't need to say it's a spell card, it functionally just says "During your main phase you can activate these effects" The burn shuffles away a monster you control in it's adjacent main monster zone for a minor burn, unless time is being called you want those monsters on field to summon your fusion's It summons from deck at spell speed 1, agajn they're vanillas but this is fine. The battle protection is quick effect but it's battle protection, lol, lmao, an actual joke. Relevant for the deck, but relying on the battle phase is not very smart. Targeting Destruction protection is way too little protection, targeting non destruction, Non Targeting Destruction, and non targeting non destruction all get around it. True words have never been spoken about text, same reason the god cards can't be printed, they look scary but ultimately do nothing and have so much text that does nothing. And weird how something as old and as simple as Mirage of Nightmare is probably better than all of these except for that monster that deletes decks and would see olay in exactly runick Stun for easy deck outs
Lmao sure bro, imperial order is banned but a card that's mystic mine, royal decree, and imperial order with a burn effect and also only for your opponent is fine to come. It's toxic sacky card that turns off your opponents turn, yes salamangreat foxy can pop it but you need to hard draw it since you can't activate anything to search on field and have a link-1 just to out this one card. Yugioh players man
Ivy bind is literally too op. It's a floodgate that negates everything. It doesn't negate on activation but as an effect. So on t1, you can sit on it and your opponent won't be able to do anything. On t3 it's destroyed but you just otk and win.
-Ivy Bind Castle could be only active while you control a Predaplant monster, basically locking it to the archetype, not to mention it's unsearchable. -Nah, Judgement Arrows should not be printed. It would basically make any Deck that uses Link Monster broken. Can you imagine using Accesscode or Borrelsword with this? -Spell Sanctuary could either allow you to set one Spell each turn depending on whose turn it is and any card set by this effect can be activated, or you can activate one set Normal or Continuous Spell during your opponent turn. -While not Treasure, I could see the Ring being printed. And the monster discard effect isn't that broken. - Underworld Circle could just have the revive effect, but negate its effects -Gladiator Beast Assault Fort... Yeah I have no idea how to use this in real life.
Actually Ivy Binds doesn't lock It will just be destroyed during your stand by phase if you don't tribute a predaplant Good luck at starting to play at turn 3 (also being unsearchable except by field spell searchers isn't a great argument, since Mystic Mine is banned and Ivy Binds is a far better version)
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Judgment Arrows is unplayably bad, lol. There isn't any link deck in the game that needs the extra arrows at this point, and the ATK buff only matters if you're going 2nd, which makes this a going 2nd continuous spell that all it does is buff ATK and says "you lose the game" if your opponent pops it... play Evenly Matched, Lightning Storm, a hand trap, literally anything. With the restrictions ontop of everything and the fact that 0 link decks released rn would be able to search it... my lord it's bad. It's a fun casual card at best, maybe you could steal a locals match win, but this would never see competitive play, would have to be buffed.
I mean alot of older anime cards are more underpowered now. It's a meme that the god cards in the real game are basically unplayable and even if they made the anime ones they'd probably be rarely played still
1:45 this is the one ruling im curious about since there are cards that allows you to put link monsters in the S/T zone. does it still count as being linked?
Cubic Defense is one I see never coming out without major changes. The effect from the DSoD movie is that “If a monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle: Make that monster(s) unable to be destroyed by that battle, and if you do, Special Summon 2 monsters from your hand with the same name as that monster you control.” It’s very generic and would work with any deck, as a Cubic player myself, I want to see this card reworked and released
Judgement arrows could get released tomorrow and would see zero play. Its an unserchable spell that doesnt belong to any archetype and it also has basicly no effect. Link decks uve mentioned like salad marincess or sunavalon have enough link zones to play and would rather play going second cards or extenders instead.
my argument for one of the strongest cards in all of yu gi oh's history: alter of restoration. it's like a spell reproduction, trap recycle, and monster reincarnation all rolled into one, but with a completely trivial cost.
with the master rule rule to limit pendlum summons from extra deck to extra monster zone or to fields link monster point to could also profit from judgement arrow
Life Force is also up there as a card too broken to ever be printed. Life Force is a continuous trap used by Syrus in his duel against Zane in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. It reduces each instance of damage you take to 400 LP. No cost and no limit on the number of times per turn you can use it. If you don't have a way to negate or destroy the thing, it would turn into the most excruciating stall card in existence.
judgment arrow is garbage Glorified attack boost that literally does nothing for consistancy or disruption nor does anything by itself. Literally just playing against top tier makes this card worthless. Link decks like sunavalon, salaman and marincess have no use for something like this as they re going to be too busy fighting against the hand traps or any disruptions on the opponent s field. Also those decks literally have no problem with the monsters being link summoned starting with the extra zone. The worse judgment arrow could accomplish could be making extra link easier and even then, nowadays meta decks are meta because they aren't entirely fucked when you seal both extra monster zone.
it relies so much on Judgement Arrows. That's why Sunavalon is bad because Judgement Arrows is not printed and never will because the metakeks will cry
Judgement arrows will also boost pendulum monsters. Link into beyond the pendulum, activate this in middle s/t zone and now you can pendulum Sumon 4 pendulum monsters from the extra deck.
What about Double Arms from 5D’s? It is a generic equip spell that doubles any effect damage the equipped monster deals. Or Kaiba’s Deck Destruction Virus from the Pyramid of Light movie? It mills 10 random cards from the opponents deck every turn.
How is judgment arrows broken, ur joking right? Most decks won’t play it, why not play moon mirror shield or equip card like united we stand. Boosting atk is out of date already, sure you can have multiple monster gain atk but most of the time duel would be over without it. Both accesscode or terahertz clear solo anyways
I dont think the attack gain on judgement arrows is that big of a deal. Cyberse decks already have a link monster that can give any monster that uses it as material 2 attacks. So this card would be worse since you have to draw it or search it. The only problematic part are the link arrows since it can lead to easy extra links, but extra links arent that good unless you're dueling another link deck or using iblee.
The cards no way good as mine Because your opponent can use effect in gy or in hand u must only play for fun n never play at in events or in tournaments
Would the shuffled back glad beasts activate thier effects to summon another glad beast from the deck because if that worked glad beasts would be tier 0 the amount of interruptions would be wild . I already play glad beasts on master duel and it gets me to diamond the combos are wild af
My lord that Gladiator Beast card. You could probably make it somewhat workable by consolidating all of the text onto the trap itself, thereby making those "once per turn" effects actually once per turn, but that's still a novel contained within a single card.
I will say in the defense of the Ring and Treasure combo. I will say that they could probably print the Ring no problem and just never print the Treasure card. The only way I could see them printing Treasure would be lowering the draw to 3 and discarding a card from your hand and limiting it to 2 or 1 or if they kept the 5 card draw effect I'd say they wpuld have to put either a huge life point cost on it, but that would make most people not really play save maybe Exodia decks or any decks that are used to los8jg life points, but I think the other methods I mentioned would be the only way we'd get both cards and be able to use them reliably in my opinion
Make it shuffle your hand into your Deck before drawing, also make it only equip the ring to a monster your opponent owns. Makes it a going second exclusive card, and it wouldn't be nearly as game ending as Maxx C.
Judgment arrows is not that broken it just need a restriction that it has to be co-linked to a link monster so you can use the zones for a link summon also restrict it to Cyberse monsters only since the armatos legio archetype is Cyberse and maybe if its seems too broken still the attack boost will be applied only to the monsters this card points to. Also i dont think this card will be extremely relevant in a lot of Cybers decks this way, it can be used mainly in code talkers or firewall decks since the salamangreat and marincess usually dont have more than 3 link monsters on the board at the same time.
The cyberse restriction would be a bit harsh honestly, also considering the fact that even in the anime Specter was able to use it, being applicable to all links of any type should be fair game. If anything, it should only be activateable if a link monster points to the spell/trap zone from the main zone like how it was emphasized in the anime; that'd probs be enough of a restriction
There are other anime cards that are 'OP' and unprintable. Well... Not sure if they are considered OP. There's Lost Pride. This trap card enables you to discard a spell card from your hand and pay 1000 life points to steal a spell card from your opponent's graveyard. and there's Scrap Fusion. Scrap Fusion enables you to banish fusion materials from your opponent's graveyard and you fusion summon a monster from their deck to your side. And there's Drain Time. If you control a destiny HERO Plasma, you can skip the draw, standby, main 1, battle or main Phase 2.
In Ygo pro I made a crazy deck with Underworld circle to banish both of our decks and would gain a bunch of life off soul absorption, then would play necroface to reshuffle the carda back multiple times for billions of life points, then ran them over over with gren maju
Shoutout to negative energy generator, used in the first duel between kaiba and yugi to multiply a monster's ATK by 3. Would be OP if it wasn't kaiba playing it, as he used it on a monster with 600 ATK and (iirc) proceeded to never mention or use it again.
If Judgement Arrows could only be activated if a link in the main zone pointed to the spell/trap zone and applied only to co-linked cards, it'd probably be enough. It would fit it with how it was portrayed and emphasized in the anime as well without being too strong
Ivy Bind Castle is another in archetype floodgate. It's par for the course in terms of legacy support. So it'd fit right in. Honestly it's easier to out than Mystic Mine. Just make sure your opponent doesn't have a monster to tribute by the time their turn rolls around and there are plenty of ways to do that. Judgement Arrows is terrible now, even in Link dedicated decks. Because only Pendulums and Links really rely on the EMZ now. If this card came out during the MR5 time when the EMZ was mandatory for all Extra deck monsters, this would've been a staple. Now? They could print this thing as is and it probably won't see play outside of pendulum and link decks. It's way to easy to just remove. Spell Sanctuary is busted just for being able to search a spell from the deck upon activation. The only downside is that you give your opponent the opportunity to do so as well. But that's well worth the trade off because 9/10 times spells these days are not designed to work as traps. It would definitely need some harsher restrictions. The Nebelung cards would definitely be abused just for the draw effect. No player alive is gonna turn down a draw 5 spell that activates a negate from deck. And all you need to do is play 1 garnet? Immediate include. Treasure would be banned with the speed of light. But the ring would be fine as is. Your opponent can draw 2 every turn? Pfft, good luck keeping that beatstick with no effect alive long enough to benefit from that. There's already a card that can let you draw 2 for the rest of the duel and no one uses it. Underworld Circle would be an immediate ban. It's a game killer. You activate this turn 1 or 2 and it's NOT negated? Immediate lost. All monsters are destroyed and all monsters in the deck are banished, right upon resolution of the card? With nothing in your grave you now have nothing to summon. Oh nah that's too toxic, I would see an emergency ban within 2 weeks of release. Assault Fort is unprintable because it's just convoluted and I can see at least 2 ruling nightmares coming from it. The effects are actually pretty mid. Just some standard protections and some burn from what I can see.
Ivy bind castle is a one-sided skill drain and attack stopper. If your opponent cant remove it, it basically wins you the game instantly. By the time you even need to pay the maintenance cost you're already so far ahead that it doesn't matter.
@@paulitics6931 on par every other legacy archetype skilldrain. It's literally no more powerful than any other floodgate. Your opponent can't get rid of it, it can win you the game.
You can't pop it with the usual board clears like Duster, Lighting Storm or Evenly since they would just be negated. You can't even attack to clear your opponents monster so they are guarranteed to still have tribute fodder.
3:20 Fun fact: The only reason the anime gave Kaiba this card was to allow the manga rule of the same effect to work for the duel.... despite duels working under that rule for the entire anime, lol. It makes so little sense, especially since the very next duel works under the same rule anyways, so it's not like they did it to change the rules or anything like that.
Thing with GB Assault Fort is it doesn't need to be so overly convoluted. The whole thing of making cards be treated as other cards is stupid and unnecessary. Make the Continuous Spells actual cards that Assault Fort searches or activates from the Deck (GB Assault Tower or something). Then Assault Fort can have the effect of milling a GB monster to deal effect damage, and the Spells can give GB monsters battle and effect destruction protection
Not going to lie the crush card virus was actually very Opie and that was all the way back at the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh I could be wrong but I think maximillia Pegasus used it or maybe it was seto kaiba, either way the card was so good they even put it in my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh game and I think would be the best out of all of them Yu-Gi-Oh duelist of the roses that's how good the card was along with others, Not going to lie the Yu-Gi-Oh game on PlayStation 2 Yu-Gi-Oh duelist of roses really should have gotten a remake and I'm still hoping that one day soon it will get a remake?!😢❤
Judgment Arrows could come into the game with a simple re-write, even with the arrows. It's already printed downsides have to persist of course. The card also could have a restriction like: "You can only summon Link Monsters to a zone this card points to. Also, Monsters summoned to a zone this card points to must be co-linked to this card."
The piliger used by Bandit Keith could never be printed. Cards like confiscation and delinquent duo are banned and the piliger is even worse cause you take the opponents card and add it to your hand.
Gladiator Beast Assault Fort with only 2nd part of text while nerfed a little like they have done with other cards wouldn't be bad to make into a real card. Why didn't you cover possible reasons why professor Eisenstein's deck from the GX anime only has 5 cards printed as real cards?
The Predarplant cart ist pretty op, and i play this deck. maybe playabal if konami change it to Tribute 1 fusionmonster and tribiute 1 fusionmonster to aktivate this card. Fusion need to be Predarplant to stop it to bekom a stapel. (I whould love to see new pred suport, so my unspeakebel monster could be a littel more spezial) Ps. sorry for the Bad Englishfisionmonster
Give it one of the harshest locks in existence : "You cannot activate cards or effects or Summon monsters the Duel you activate this efffect, except "Polymerization" cards, "Ivy Bind Castle", "Predap" cards and "Fusion Dragon" monsters and their effects." Yup, no handtrap, no generic staple, no outside fusion.
With Nibelung’s Treasure the effect should be once per turn and only that turn. And after you draw your 5 cards you would have to banish 4 cards from your hand face down
The only one I care about is Judgement Arrows because it has strong significance to the Ignis in Vrains S2 and lets its associated mechanic break into new ground in the way it was meant to. I think Armatos, Stormrider, Hydradrive, and the Drones need a new lease on life with exactly the kinds of edits that will make sense in the coming years, but the Arrows themselves are a must.
Crazy.
Dude, just remove a 0 from the damage
Anything to make “End of the Line”, a draw 2 Trap where you want 10LP, a little easier to use.
It makes damage calculations that arn’t supposed to exist in YUGIOH.
My solution would've been to have it work on Link Monsters pointing to it
@@djt08031996Yeah judgement arrows doesn't seem that bad and even then I'd like spell and traps with link arrows.
You can only active one "Judgement Arrows" per turn
It’d be OP in the OCG too, since Maxx C isn’t banned there
@@bsgfan1Master Duel, too.
@CrimsonConqueror look, i play wiraqocha floo, and let me tell you, sending 3 cards from my opponents hand at start of duel normally spells defeat to them 90% of the time.

In Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds anime there are three cards used by misty Treadwell
Sorrowful memories unwavering truth and sorrowful chain
One of them says if either player draws a monster card during the draw phase they shuffle it back into the deck
The second one is for spells the third is for traps with these 3 cards neither player can have their draw phase
Yeah but they aren't overpowered since they effect the controller too
@@Yu13oh guess so
*Runick has entered the chat*
Those aren’t really overpowered. I’ve used them before, they are far from broken and can be more of a nuance for yourself than the opponent.
It had the 3-3 copies of the Nibelung cards, 3 copies of Royal Magical Library, the bamboo swords, and 3-3 copies of 2 more anime only cards:
"Spellbook inside the pot" Effect: both players draw 3 cards.
Magician’s Library should be real 😭
@@bmwjourdandunngoddess6024 the closest we have, is Triple Tactic's Trust I believe.
Judgement arrows would be bad even if printed with its anime effect. Link and Pendulum decks do not need the extra link arrows to function properly and the Limiter Removal like effect, while cute, is irrelevant when you're killing your opponent in a single turn with Borrelsword or Accesscode.
if it was easier to search it would probably be played at 1 on some OTK decks
@@skkadoot9533See, OTK decks, by definition, already OTK
To make Ivy Bind Castle not that broken. Having the clause, that you can only SS or activate the effects of Predaplant Monsters for the rest of the turn or the duel might fix it.
Umm...no
Modern Predaplant can already flood the board with strong monsters, a floodgate, a Kaiju, a removal, and a beatstick that I've personally reached 64,800 with, with several spare materials. Ivy Bind Castle's most broken part is that it's paired with an archetype that can just flood materials like it's nothing
Meanwhile Mayakashis & Shiranuis get an even stronger version of Winda as a trap, and it doesn't see any play due to being attached to such fragile/slow and xenophobic archetypes
How would that fix it?

@@GlacierMoonDragon yeah... that does nothing.
how incapable do you think predaplants is?

Necrocosmos?
@@klockenberg2299 Well, when you can summon all monsters in both gy's at the snap of your fingers and gain life from it, I would say that it is pretty close, if not even better.

Shinato's Ark
This card is treated as a Monster Card (???-Type/???/???/ATK ???/DEF ???).

Ill be back when Ivy Bind Castle gets printed :)
"Spell Sanctuary" I think would be neat as a once per turn. As for the search, it could lock players out for the turn involving that name added an only allows normal spells to be turned.
probably the sole reason judgement arrows will never get printed is because its a spell with link arrows and the only one of its kind
What about Joey's dice card that lets you draw cards equal to the dice result, AND summon a monster from the hand?
There's two of them
Cards of fate - You drew the cards the same Number as a dice, Then you mills the same amount
Star blaster - Tribute one monster and roll a die, Then you can summon a monster with the same total amount of the tributed monster's level and the result of the die. (I.E Joey tribute a scapegoat token(LVL1) then the dice result was 6, 6+1 = 7, Then he can summon 1 level 7 monster)
I don't think judgment arrows is that overpowered. Stat changing cards don't usually have the big an effect on the meta.
That’s not the OP part, it’s Link arrows, besides the Extra Monster Zone, you can summon Link Monsters or Pendulums more easier like that
I could definitely see Underworld Circle being relentlessly abused in Runick.
I’m sorry, but I hate the nerfs so much. 😭 Because I’ve used some of these anime cards and they’re not all that compared to what y’all are saying.
Yusho playing through Ivy Bind Castle and still being in a position to win is one of the greatest Yugioh moments ever.
Might be the best fusion spell ever, even tho pre errata Future Fusion would give it a run for its money.
there was one card that stops the entire duel and forces both players to continue the match while skydiving.
that was all.
it does not give either player any advantage.
just CARD GAMES WHILE SKYDIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Underworld circle would see play in every floo deck and should never exist
Id like to add Supreme King Brutality- Basicaly look at your opponents hand and destroy cards up to the number of Supreme King cards you control (Anime Zarc sent 4).
Also Anime Zarc is super busted
Fair Exchange (Clark Smith - 5DS) Spell Card
Send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. Your opponent sends cards from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard equal to the combined Levels of any monsters sent to the Graveyard this way.
This card would enable mill decks, either milling yourself 3 cards, or highrolling high levels and milling your opponent a lot.
Elegant Light Lvl 4 (Howard X Miller - 5DS) Trap card
When this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Deck.
Ok... summon from deck is busted now, makes Foolish Burial Goods a one-card combo in so many decks.
Raise the Woof (Pip - Zexal) Spell Card
Shield Wall (Gurimo - Duel Monsters) Quick Play
Both are Spell cards which summon 4 tokens (Raise the Woof with the restriction of not having Level 3 or higher monsters and Shield wall is a Quickplay, both having the restriction of cannot be tributed) then, Scapegoat without the restriction of Summoning.
Giant Flood (Noah - Duel Monsters) Spell Card
Activate only during your Main Phase 1. Send all monsters on the field and from both players' hands to the Graveyard.
Field Removal without destroying plus discarding, it is kinda balanced because it is for both players but you might play around it.
Spell Sanctuary was just there to keep the duel as close to the manga as possible
because in other duels, they could change the spells to trap cards. or replace some of them with similar effects and it would not change too much of the narrative
in the manga, the rule stated that you're only allowed to either play or set 1 spell and 1 trap per turn - if you want to use 2 of the same type, you must have already set 1 of them from the previous turn. You can also activate a set spell card in your opponent's turn.
for example: Yugi could only set a Spell Binding Circle (spell) and Magic Cylinder (trap) in a turn in his fight with the doll dude
in the anime adaptation, both cards were trap cards, which match irl cards (this nullifies the original rule - which was one of the reasons some fans thought they were smarter than the characters.)
in this particular duel, a lot of cards are too much to change so they just created this card to justify keeping the spell cards as they were.
Gotta a have Sabatiel - The Philosopher's Stone on this list for obvious reasons
What about that Kaiba card that discards half the opponent's hand and then he draws the same number of cards that were discarded? All for NO COST.
Damn I forgot about that one, it's hella OP
@@SubZex99 Yeah that card's busted...
Narrow tunnel from 5d's. Better summon limit + kaiser colosseum that you can circumvent with monsters that cannot be destroyed by card effects.
Judgement Arrows would be a cool card IRL.
Spell Sanctuary is absolutely broken and probably shouldn't be printed, however, this card letting your opponent also search and letting them immediately activate spells in their hand is killer, they could search backrow removal to out it if this is an issue if you use it to search a combo starter they can always ignore it and search their own board wipe or if you're a combo deck, imagine wuixk effect Dark Ruler No More 🙃
Turns out being nice to your opponent is too balanced in Yugioh.
For Text Box 2 it's more of the same except it's worse because it didn't need to say it's a spell card, it functionally just says "During your main phase you can activate these effects"
The burn shuffles away a monster you control in it's adjacent main monster zone for a minor burn, unless time is being called you want those monsters on field to summon your fusion's
It summons from deck at spell speed 1, agajn they're vanillas but this is fine.
@@aye2zee485gonna be honest I didn't see the part where it said all cards and read it as Monsters. That certainly changes a few things.

Underworld Circle gets even more broken when you realise that Holactile exists.
- Underworld Circle could just have the revive effect, but negate its effects
-Gladiator Beast Assault Fort... Yeah I have no idea how to use this in real life.
Actually Ivy Binds doesn't lock
It will just be destroyed during your stand by phase if you don't tribute a predaplant
Good luck at starting to play at turn 3
(also being unsearchable except by field spell searchers isn't a great argument, since Mystic Mine is banned and Ivy Binds is a far better version)
It's a meme that the god cards in the real game are basically unplayable and even if they made the anime ones they'd probably be rarely played still

this is the one ruling im curious about since there are cards that allows you to put link monsters in the S/T zone. does it still count as being linked?
If you don't have a way to negate or destroy the thing, it would turn into the most excruciating stall card in existence.
soo tame compared what people post.
2:40 Im sorry, are we still in MR4 where link arrows actually matter?
judgment arrow is garbage
Glorified attack boost that literally does nothing for consistancy or disruption nor does anything by itself.
The anime have broken because every dual the players are always negging.
I would love Armatos Legio to be released
it relies so much on Judgement Arrows.

Time fusion is bonkers it cheats out vwxyz dragon catapult cannon for free
What about Double Arms from 5D’s? It is a generic equip spell that doubles any effect damage the equipped monster deals. Or Kaiba’s Deck Destruction Virus from the Pyramid of Light movie? It mills 10 random cards from the opponents deck every turn.
How is judgment arrows broken, ur joking right? Most decks won’t play it, why not play moon mirror shield or equip card like united we stand. Boosting atk is out of date already, sure you can have multiple monster gain atk but most of the time duel would be over without it. Both accesscode or terahertz clear solo anyways
Does anyone remember Bandit Keith's "pillager" card? It let him look at joey's hand and steal a card that he liked
I like how judgement arrows was just the seal of orichalchos again
I can see them printing the first card, but have it limited to 1 since some of the Predaplant cards had been hit already.
When Phantom Knight’s Possession? It would actually make the effects of Raging and Rebellion Dragon useful.
Ivy bind Castle is like mystic mine but it has a combined effect of cauldron if the old man the only restriction is the predaplant tributing part

The Gladiator Beast card is an essay itself I would just scoop if I am facing someone playing it
My lord that Gladiator Beast card. You could probably make it somewhat workable by consolidating all of the text onto the trap itself, thereby making those "once per turn" effects actually once per turn, but that's still a novel contained within a single card.
destiny board literally just killed you in the manga. could they print that?
Judgment Arrow is basically Weather Painter Spell/Trap. Give monsters it "points to" some effects.
for ivy bind castle, you just add the gimmick of predaplant, counters. You negate the effect and stop the attacks of monster with a predaplant counter
Another good example from dm was the original card of demise. Draw until you have 5 cards in your hand and the downside doesn't even matter
Seal of orichalcos
that card already exist and is dogshit.
5:28 this would have the heavily linked to he's archetype, and in turn you would have to take a hit on activating spell cards on the turn you do this.
Some of the cards that have been released have way more broken anime effects like golden castle of stromburg where your opponent pays the cost.
Judgment arrows could be printed tbh with the downside and the fact that most decks don’t care about extra link to much
Ivy Bind Castle is another in archetype floodgate.
I skipped the 7 gladiator beast episodes so never knew they made such a broken trap lol
I preferably think that if Judgment Arrows was printed, Crusadia would climb up to a tier 0 deck.
Underworld Circle:
Maybe instead of banishing all deck monsters, maybe the effect should be BOTH PLAYERS CHOOSE 1 MONSTER FROM THEIR DECK TO BANISH.
Judgments arrows goes crazy ngl.
Pot of Greed.
Easy card advantage with no cost or downside. A card like that could never be released into the actual game.
Funny interaction with underworld cicle, u can summon holathyle with it without tributing the egipcian god cards to win
Its a OCG exclusive price card and not legal for play anyway.
@@dragonmasterchief2492 is it funny or not to summon a win condition (literally) ?
Spell sanctuary MAYBE could be printed if they took off the search effect or gave that part a HoPT or HoPD clause.
That glad beats card too OP. On top of burning the opponent potentially to death with some combo. You set up fusion materials.
Maybe Spell Sanctuary should have a restriction where only you must set your spells first before activation.
Not going to lie the crush card virus was actually very Opie and that was all the way back at the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh I could be wrong but I think maximillia Pegasus used it or maybe it was seto kaiba, either way the card was so good they even put it in my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh game and I think would be the best out of all of them Yu-Gi-Oh duelist of the roses that's how good the card was along with others,
Not going to lie the Yu-Gi-Oh game on PlayStation 2 Yu-Gi-Oh duelist of roses really should have gotten a remake and I'm still hoping that one day soon it will get a remake?!😢❤
Judgment Arrows could come into the game with a simple re-write, even with the arrows. It's already printed downsides have to persist of course. The card also could have a restriction like:
"You can only summon Link Monsters to a zone this card points to. Also, Monsters summoned to a zone this card points to must be co-linked to this card."
Or... don't, the card is bad as is, lol. There isn't a single link deck out rn that needs the crutch to do the simple act of link summoning.
@@camerontheninja9592 Yeah sure having a unstoppable Accesscode Talker with 10.6k ATK is fine. Kappa
Spectre himself said what Sunavalon needed is Judgement Arrows
Judgment Arrows should be printed as an unique card like the Divine-type monsters.
they should print these as prize cards but put in the text (can't be played in a duel)
The Predarplant cart ist pretty op, and i play this deck.
maybe playabal if konami change it to Tribute 1 fusionmonster and tribiute 1 fusionmonster to aktivate this card.
Fusion need to be Predarplant to stop it to bekom a stapel.
(I whould love to see new pred suport, so my unspeakebel monster could be a littel more spezial)
Ps. sorry for the Bad Englishfisionmonster
