As a carpenter trying to go out on my own these videos are really great 👌keep them coming
Thanks, will do! I appreciate your kind words and am glad they help
Good to see that you also price in wear and tear on your tools rather than just your time element. Your accountant will be impressed 👍
Good man, as an old man of 64 who has been in the building trade since i was 16 it's good to see young people starting out and doing a good job, hopefully it will inspire others to come into the trade, Nice one.
Thankyou for the kind words I hope so too
I’m the same and couldn’t agree more.
Good job showing your apprentice PPE. A lot of old school guys won't wear it but it's important to. No one gets sick the first, second or third time coming across black mould but 20 years down the line when they have a cough that just doesn't go away, they often wonder why. Your body is one of the resources you use when working so it's important to keep it safe.
Very very true PPE is very important
Hello, You are doing a great job. As a Kenyan carpenter I look forward working with you in future so as to share and learn some carpentry skills. When you are reading UK let me know.
😅 i’m abit confused with this comment
As an apprentice carpenter I find your videos so knowledgeable and entertaining. Keep smashing it man your work ethic with social media quoting working is seriously impressive. Keep grinding I hope to be working for my self soon and following your steps
Love these types of comments thankyou
Great job. It's depressing that in reality, there's an issue with damp or condensation in that property which is causing the mould. Someone will be living there and inhaling the new spores that will develop.
They day 2 feeling when you walk back into the job and realise how much still needs doing and you wonder if you should ever have started this job 😁
You have got this spot on 😂😂😂 that was 100% what I was thinking 😂
Being a floor layer don’t have this problem unless on site 😂
You all worked really hard on that one and you earned every penny. You added value to that property which surely outweighs what the landlord gave to you. Well done - top work.
thankyou i appreciate the kind comment
I like your videos they are really interesting for someone who doesn't have a clue about your trade. The way you work and the professionalism you show is fab and always clean up afterwards. Well done👍
Thankyou I really appreciate your kind words I’m glad you like the videos
Excellent transformation , even though it is like you said like for like you did fabulous..
Be proud Brother I would 👍🙏
So interesting to see a full project like this. So many different skills that go into it - thanks for making the videos and keep up the good work!
thankyou i appreciate the kind comment
I work for myself and make as much as you can when you can!
What a Great Guy .... Absolutely Brilliant !
I really enjoy watching your onsite videos and appreciate the time you take to film and edit them. And I've picked up plenty of great tips through them!
Thankyou very much I’m glad people appreciate the time it takes aha , I’m glad you find it useful
Just discovered your channel. Really interesting. I'm a DIY weekend warrior carpenter who's planning to supplement my income when I retire (or if I get laid off before my retirement) so it's really helpful to get an idea of what sort of jobs come up, how much to charge, potential pitfalls etc... so I'll be working through your video archive & learning + smashing the like button to help out the channel :)
"Where there's muck there's money" Well done chaps, that was a nice little earner 👍
Thankyou mate I appreciate it
A nice little earner?!?! Pro rata he’s making as much as a GP!!!
@@cityzens634 Sadly the building trade doesn't work pro rata. We all have our good days but far more often we don't.
@@jrsuk1170 But that’s what that customer is being charged for a weeks work, the customer isn’t responsible for the tradesman’s lean periods, that’s my point.
Well done. Mold will come back they shud have put an extractor fan in that vent
Great video man! Keep up the good work and for allowing us to see a day in the life. Good to see others wearing PPE as well. Cheers
thankyou
Tbh its a good video it really shows a budget job based on what you said "like for like". We're use to seeing rebuilds be all brand new and massive changes. But this job is 🔥 shows how a small renovation can make a big difference. Nice Job! 👊🏼
Hats off. 👍
I love how honest and open you are. Job was bang on, Well done lads 👊🏻
Thanks mate really appreciate it
No shade at you, as your just doing what you’re asked to complete. The landlord should address why there is mould, maybe more ventilation or more powerful fan. Good video content though from you!
Exactly, just a sticky plaster job, i would never put my name to that sort of job , let alone put on RUclips 😮
Glad u charged so much as u did, persumeing ur really quiet taking jobs like this on.
1st class 👏🏽👌🏽
Yes I like it what you done ! Roundabout price fine! Wish you all the best !
Smashed it!
Flat pack kitchens .. I feel your pain ..
great job 👍🏼
well done buddy thanks for the heads up iam twice your age and a retired joiner but you have empressed me with your get the job done attitude great stuff
Thankyou I really appreciate the kind comment
Very good video keep it up bro thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge 👊
Love your vids man. It’s really helpful to know how your pricing things up. I’m just starting out and sometimes pricing a job can be scary, as you don’t want to under quote the work/s.
Really enjoy watching your videos as an apprentice too myself, can’t wait for the days I’ll be doing it myself and would like to follow in your footsteps by documenting it too. Real inspiration man, keep smashing it
Thankyou I really appreciate this comment , good luck in your apprenticeship
Excellent as always mate! Watching you is giving me the kick I need to give it a go by myself so thanks for the great Vids!
Thankyou I’m glad I could motivate you , but get the right plan in order first
Great job ye smashin it 🔥👊
Well done mate, a very disciplined job all said and done. I subbed when you said you gave the apprentice a bonus.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
😂 thanks mate I really appreciate the sub and the kind comments
I'm not and never had anything to do with the building trade, but have just found and really enjoyed your video's. Very watchable and interesting, glad to see you have an apprentice to teach a trade. Alex.
Good video good to see someone self employed successful and enjoying it 👍
Thankyou I appreciate your kind comment
Amazing video. Multi skilled abilities really good.
Well done brother is the second video I’ve watched and I love it👌🏿

Great video , learned a lot of things I didn’t know before 👍 keep them coming 👊
Thankyou im glad the video benefited
Don't know how I found your page but love the content and your work ethic. I can see that you're getting out your comfort zone by getting in front of the camera but good on you for pushing the boundaries bro! Keep it up and keep grinding 👊🏾👏🏿
Good luck, cheers for posting, And showing how much you charged . You and your apprentice had week of graft. All the best to you.
Your welcome and Thankyou I appreciate it
I just subbed and liked Young Man - Keep up the good work and I will support you throughout - Urban Suburban Plumbers RESPECT
Well done lad’s looking 100%better for next people who rent it,👍👍👍👍⚽️🇬🇧
Thankyou I appreciate it
Such a nice chap
Salute mate, keep up the good work..
Thankyou I appreciate it 🫡
Enjoyed this pal 👍 as a carpenter of 20years looking to start out on my own , thus is interesting. I've subscribed keep up the good work
thankyou i appreciate it
A nice take for a week, good work mate! As a chippy in Australia I know it can be hard to charge what we think we’re worth as customers seem to expect us to be cheaper than plumbers and sparkies despite all the tools and knowledge we have. so always good when you can make some good coin on a job.
I’m fortunately comfortable enough to have the mindset these days that I’d rather have a day off than work for peanuts. Which never happens anyway 😂 I work alone so I always have enough to do!
✌🏽
As I commented on one your other videos, you're doing a great job bud😎Keep it up and I enjoy watching👍Cheers Del
Thankyou Del I really appreciate your comments
@@ttdowgcarpentry2390 👍😎
really dope stuff!!!
i thought carpentry was just wood cutting but you're doing so many different tasks! Just found your channel, not a trader or anything but I like to do some HOME DIY and learnt a lot in the lockdown. Great to watch and learn some new skills, thanks for breaking everything down. Subbed.
Woodcutting 🤦🏻♂️ omg
awesome
Love the channel! good video and a nice week in the office!! keep it up 👌💪
Thankyou really appreciate the kind comment
Love the video's!
thankyou
Well done! Great job. I can't believe the landlord lets out the property with those outdated fittings (as was and the bathroom still is) and I wonder how long all that mould had been there. The landlord wanting like for like is probably to do with the expenses allowable - if replacing a kitchen it should be like to like. However as the existing kitchen was so old they probably could have got away with fitting the nearest modern equivalent and had a more modern layout.
Class video mate and good job👍🏻
Thankyou I really appreciate it
Good job mate respect the grind
Thankyou
Literally watched 4/5 videos in a row. And nice to see a joiner doing other trades. Most joiners I know wouldn’t touch plastering with a barge pole 😂 I’m hoping to post some handyman/DIY videos soon. Enjoy the pace of your videos. Keep it up
thankyou mate really appreciate your kind words and hope it goes well for you
Brilliant channel guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thankyou I really appreciate your comment

Decent video keep up the good work 👍

Great work! That kitchen was a health hazard. Excellent video.
thankyou i appreciate it and yeah it was bad
You can put the backs on the units with a finish nailer👍saves a good hour of nailing by hand
Thankyou I’ll try this next time
Love this positive video, I’ve hit that like and subscribe button. Please keep them coming 👍
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it I will continue to post every friday. Thank you.
Joining bar, much quicker and cheaper. Ive just cut 3 masons mitres in my kitchen. Proper PITA
Good video very informative 👍.
I'm sure you are local to me I'm Sheldon/Solihull based
Thankyou I’m glad you found it informative
Very good job mate, keep on like this i just subscribed
thankyou mate i really appreciate it
Nice.
Thankyou
Nice job mate.
I would imagine the LL was the kind of lady that if you overpriced the job you wouldn't have got it, therefore you must have priced it at the market rate.
Keep up the gaff 👍
I think that’s a fair price. Some things seemed a bit much then other jobs I’d of charged more for so 👍 Really enjoy your videos
Thankyou I’m glad you liked the video
High grade vinegar kills mold 20% vinegar work mega and you can get stronger in the acid value which you can water down it's the acid that kill it...... it will kill all molds . But the construction companies don't want you to know.. Bleach doesn't kill mold all it does is discolour the mold and that's all ... Hope this helps you in the future.
Hey mate great video love watching what you've been doing 👍 trying to start something similar uploaded first video yesterday, have a geez when you have some time 😊
Mate im new to your channel but love your real world jobs and reasonable prices , id use you all the time if you was in London , great job. Great to see a budget job , the Zinsser paint is the nuts , expensive but you get paid in long run.
very true i should do a video on this product alone it’s amazing , and thankyou for the kind words i appreciate it
I admire what you're doing. I kinda did the same thing when I was still living in Holland, but there's to many rules and regulations. I see you have to get a plumber and electrician? Now I'm in the US and I am a General Contractor, here I can and do everything, no need to hire sub contractors. I do framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, tiling, flooring, painting, roofing etc. I can build a complete house from the ground up without somebody looking over my shoulders! I prefer new construction and remodeling, although my own house was build in 1790! At least it is still solid and there was no mold anywhere even though it's in the humid NE. I like watching your videos, keep it up!
Thankyou I’m glad you liked the video , my goal is to be a great carpenter as well as knowing everything . You have got it right , knowledge is key . I would like to be able to build a house from the ground it some day. But at the moment repairs and renovations are my favourite things to do.
Not sure if its just your own work ethic but shout out to you and whoever taught you your trade
nice work mate
Thankyou
Nice job with the canvas you had and add on the restraints of the customer.
As to the pricing a very fresh and honest reveal, there are lots that wouldn't be so honest AND that alone I'd hire you to do work .... Good for you definitely a like and subscribe from me!!
keep making these detailed project. gained a lot of knowledge- wished it was longer and more detailed.
Wow. That was a decent price👍
900 to clean the walls 😂
Looks like a local authority job getting it read for the new tenants. I done these jobs in Camden some are diabolical.
Nice work guys, it’s a definite improvement. It would be great if the landlord also improved the bath, sinks and made the job bigger for you guys. Nice work nonetheless and have subscribed too.
Running this entire project for your client saved them time, effort and the hassle and expense of organising multiple trades. You appear to have pretty much project managed this entire job and for the price you charged were a bargain in my opinion. Keep up the good work 👍
Ok about the mould but at least they could have creared the kitchen before you started .you earn every penny
From what I’ve read, bleach just bleached the mould white and doesn’t kill it, mould can actually feed on bleach, so using a dedicated mould killer like you did was the best action.
Great insight into what you do daily, any videos on door jams, making/installing correctly?
i’ll get on this
The Apprentice has come along a lot! I've just started watching BUT I"m sure the video I see was roughly 5/6 months old and the apprentice was finding it hard to stay awake let alone do any work in fact he did fall asleep sitting down watching (if thats what you call it) lol!!! He's lucky really cause anywhere else and that would have been "P45 For the Apprentice" lol!!! "THE SACK" ALSO TOPMAN FOR GIVING YOUR APPRENTICE A BONUS not a lot of ppl would do that especially to their apprentice!!!!!!
Decent man and a decent price!
Thankyou I appreciate your kind words
New subscriber here. Good uploads and videos. Do similar myself. Keep up the good work. Nice to see the apprentice getting looked after well too 👍
Adding a comment as well for ya mate for the engagement 👍
thanks mate really appreciate it 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
Nice vid bro!
Thankyou I appreciate it
That kitchen is shocking. Why wouldn't the landlord put units into the corner or make the wall units the full width. Shocking.
w vid as always
Thankyou i appreciate it
I think you have to get small shop vac AND cyclone filter. You will born again ( dewalt vac is not the same)
Damn, £2,400 in a week is good money , but that isn't easy work so it's fair
