How did you get started?
Where do you get your leads for these jobs
More vids about price/ quotes/ money.
thankyou i will make sure i do more , thankyou for the feedback
£295 for 2 and a half hours work. Did you have any other jobs on that day? I really need to up my pricing.
I thought you guys in UK would measure up in metric not imperial.
Do you not put any money on materials you’re time picking up etc?
normally i do
He put £50 down
Nice job! What happened to the apprentice?
He got grounded
He is grounded at the moment will be back soon
Can I ask what being grounded as an apprentice means exactly?
Thought you made £300 a day? Personally always put at least 20% on materials
that’s what i try to make £200minimum average £250 - £300 a day
Do you charge a markup on your materials?
People who do that are snakes. Anyone who has pride in their work shows receipts to the client
@@DRAINTVofficial I disagree. No business buys and sells something for the same price. You wouldn’t go into Tesco and demand to see the price they bought the product for. It has no effect on the pride or quality of my work
@@RickTVification you're providing a labour service. No product delivery. Your main goal is to deliver a service.
@@DRAINTVofficial a labour service would be something like a gardener who doesn’t supply any materials, or a labourer on building site. Carpenters’ supply product and labour. They make money on the labour, and also have to make money on the product too. Any business that supplies product charges a markup. If you’re showing the client your receipts, good for you, but you won’t be in business that long
I would hope so. That mark up covers the time and fuel sourcing them and will also allow for warranty issues. . Im a spark.and i charge markup on all materials if i supply them
How come did you not follow your dads path of electrical?
i tried a lot of different trades and i just took to carpentry best and i’m glad i did because i love it aha
What’s your marketing strategy do you use stuff like check a trade or my builder or is it all through word of mouth bet I said that wrong at stupid o clock 😂🤦♂️ it’s my only free time to watch videos
Great video as always, how about a cheeky 15k sub giveaway? 😀
I dont know much about business and stuff, but dont you need to include your VAT on your jobs for the tax man?
Where's the apprentice
grounded 🥹😭
@@ttdowgcarpentry2390 hahaha what do you mean grounded? from his parents? usually going to work would be the punishment? hahha
£100 per Hour Amazing 👏
More money than a plumber
Irritating background music that is really unnecessary and is very distracting
thankyou for the constructive criticism i will improve
Put a margin on your jobs mate, you’re running a business, and why do businesses exist? To turn a profit.
At least 20% on top, we have a limited lifespan on the tools, make money when you can.
