Treat others how you wish to be treated. Good lad
My number one rule
He deserves it mate, I had 2 apprentices at once, I bought phones, alarm clocks, dinner, bonus, clothes, power tools, hand tools etc and one just absolutely wasted my time 😂 I’ve still got the other he’s great, I can just tell how great this lad is he really is
Wish my boss did that for me when I was starting up 😂he was as tight as a parrots chuff 🤦♂️
Top man
@@Happy-mh8xq sometimes you gotta be the boss for yourself, and choose a business that appreciates you. if you do the work, and the boss is a good human, he will realize how much help you are. If they're pricks, it's for a reason and they don't deserve a good employee
Alarm clocks?? But why I wonder 🤣🤣🤣
You're like an older brother to him, good on you pal.
doing good things for our young people... potentially keeping them off the streets mad respect
thankyou mate i appreciate it , this is very true
A rare combination of a grateful and respectful boss and employee. Well done gents. Keep up the good work
There aren’t many bosses like you out there. He was really so happy and surprised. This right here is what will make him never leave the trade! Great video
And then he left a few months later 🤦🏾♂️
What a fantastic boss and mentor i applaud you for your mentality hes a lucky lad to have you in his life and great things will come because of you.. top bloke!!!
I think what your doing with your apprentice is so good. Hats off to you fella.. excellent leadership shown here.
So pure bro, fully deserved. When he walked after you in the shop askin you to turn of the camera hahahah priceless
This warms the cockles of my heart. Well done mate 💙
😊😊 Thankyouu
The apprentice looks genuinely happy, the gaffa is going to get the best out of him and the kids going to have decent tools to do decent jobs with. PS, I’ll have the DeWalt 18v cordless drill! Best of luck in the new year!
Dude I want this guy as a partner in trades business. Class act.
Wow, he is one lucky young man👍
Certainly is, hope he appreciates this as this doesn’t happen everyday. When I was an apprentice I was handed a pair of gloves and a dust mask, everything else I had to acquire as I progressed in the trade. This is why I value my tools so much
Makes my day seeing this. Good on ya for sorting the young man out.
Lol What a Boss he looks like he appreciates it. Did the right thing giving him some pocket money as well. He should be taking you to the Takeaway now 👍
Well done mate! Such a nice gesture looking after the lad like that!🙏🏾
"He's Gassed" (translation) "He's Happy" haha that bit took me out. Love to see the youth grafting from young. Big up yourself
Massive respect to you for this what a great gesture 👏 👍
thankyou i appreciate the kind comment
Really enjoyed the video. Love the apprentice's reaction - he seems a great lad to have around, and you deserve so much credit for the work you're putting in. Top man
Thankyou mate I really appreciate it and I’m Glad you enjoyed it
You’re a good man, thanks for the great videos. Also props on humouring the guy showing you the transformer light you already own 😅 keep it up!
Top boss, well done mate, you should be proud of yourself. I hope the apprentice realises how lucky he is to have such a fantastic gaffer.
this is impressive, fair play to you and the young man, I have had a few young apprentice's over the years but none as humble and committed as your lad they always seem to let themselves down.
Just found your channel and so glad to see some positive things on U tube! Nothing like making someone else’s day better, working in the trades is never easy but getting a leg up when starting out is something he won’t ever forget!
A pleasure to have you guys...Roll on 2023 😀
Seems like a top kid and you seem like a top bloke things like this will make him a better tradesmen in future 🙌🏻
Damn man I wish I had someone like you coming up.
I wish I had someone like me aha
This made me cry 😢

If you own a small buisness look after your guys or someone else will.
Keep it up bro 💪
You’re a legend. I dine my 4 years apprenticeship and it was terrible. From the company to the training it was a joke and made me stop once I had finished the apprenticeship. Would have amazing to have a gaffer like you 👍🏼 love the channel as well
Makes yer day seeing a reaction like that!
Hey guy, I admire and respect you.... nuf respect..
thankyou mate i appreciate it
Top lads! That’s a good kid right there.
You are a great boss and mentor, this lad is lucky :)
I am full of smiles with this new video.
thankyouu i’m glad you enjoyed
09:48, the bigger side of the table of the saw sits on the cutting board, not the smaller bit! Just a hint. Well done mate. Keep it up.
Keep the hard work up
you know what dude... i bet he will really appreciate what he means to you.... it will give hin the drive not only for himself... but the desire to give you 100+%... love your content
such a good thing to do I hope he is still working with you :-)
If you treat your workers like this, you know they will never half arse anything and know that they’re representing you!
Congratulations what a lovely gift every tradesmen shouting at the apprentice a KETTLE a RADIO 📻 AND A BAG 🎒 keep using the boses tool's 😝🔨🍻
The mitre saw is a good call. So useful on so many tasks. 👍.
thankyouu
Wow very kind boss
When I was a young lad I got bought a can of Stella on a Friday
Some of the best feeling being in the trade is when you walk into the DIY Hardware store and look at all the pretty power tools lol
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Love this! 👌
His reaction Priceless 🤣😂
Top blokes 👍
⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👏👏👏 nice one buddy
I love your videos but I hope your apprentice sees you as generous and not an idiot
Brilliant.
Brilliant this
Top man.
Love this
Gotta love the fact he nearly fainted in the Milwaukee section 😂😂
My boss when i was an apprentice.... (An apprentice electrician not the handyman/carpenter i became)
Didnt pay me for 7 months.. My old man got the money out of him in the end. And the only thing he ever did was give me the hair dryer treatment for every mistake.. He was horrible.
So your apprentice is very lucky.
Legend
The light couldn't make it up ,last thing on my mind ,I would go saws drills impact router sander, fair play
Well done..
thankyou
All I ever got was a bottle of whiskey at Christmas and I don't drink whiskey.
Top guy 👍👌
He needs a van now to put all his tools in.
Ive got the 250mm flexvolt mitresaw its a beast
I guess that he has a drill/ drill driver already, as he didn't select probably the most used tools any tradesman would need. Not quite sure if the light was a needed purchase. It was a really nice thing you did there.
What 3 tools would you have bought, if you were choosing.
Yes I was surprised by him not choosing the absolute must have for any work , a good reliable and robust drill. Maybe he already has ?
A grand chopsaw, circular saw and a drill combo set and spare blades with the change!
Respect
Top man love dewalt tools id have the lot haha
I like your apprentice, he is switched on! He has delayed himself and not jumped straight in, and he is thinking hard about what to chose, he is probably thinking what will I use the most what will make my life easier etc.
Legend ,my mum had to pay for collage and I would try by every week it took years ,
GREAT BOSS
thankyouu
I wonder when if he knows this could be a multimillion business or if he's just working hard. 😊
Hu ? 😅
Wow! Where is that shop, its like an aladdins cave!
Circular impact and jigsaw is what I would pick
As an apprentice carpenter this video blew my mind 😂I would have picked up my tools within the first 10 seconds a nailer skill saw jigsaw impactor batterys recip sds fatmax tape levels …. My guy was lost🤷♂️😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that’s very true
Wish I had a boss like that.
thankyou i appreciate this kind comment
I noticed from a video of you taking off skirting with a nailbar and a hammer. Some advice I can give to you (apprentice) is to learn to accurately hit things with the hammer holding it at the bottom of the handle to put more force into the hits you smash
I hated my apprenticeship. It was a place filled with insecure little people who compensated by being bullies, bigots and misogynists. The level of intelligence was low. At 17 I thought this was natural and this was how workplaces were. I visited a mate at his place and was shocked at the contrast in working conditions and how workers treated each other. I quit and transferred my apprentice to another place and did much better. Barber school. I went there the other day. Free haircut. The young guy on first impression looked really unenthusiastic. Anyway, I didn't say anything, sat down and he started clipping. Turns out I was his second ever customer. He was 17 and what I thought was mopping behaviour, was just shyness. He lacked confidence. I too left school at 17. Started a welding apprenticeship. Very hard place to work. Very violent and abusive. We got talking. Talked about what his plans where. Slowly his voice grew in volume. He stood upright. I joked that it was ok for a barber to maneuver a customer's head and ears for a better cut. Built the chap up. I got a good clipper cut and a beard trim. I acted towards this 17 year old in a way I wished someone would have done to me at the same age rather than being beaten up. Real men build others up. I shook this lad's hand at the end. Looked him in the eyes and treated him with the respect he deserved as a human who is doing his best in starting along the path of advancing himself in life.
I mean after this i'm sure he is going to be very loyal to you.
he better be 😂😂
@@ttdowgcarpentry2390 😂
Man wish someone would buy me my stuff when I started out!
I own the big brother to that saw... its a beast to carry around😅
yep 😂😂 a little to big for me to carry around
i got £30 for my xmas bonus and a verbal warning for causing a leak. that’s how my apprenticeship is going
looks like my kinda sweet shop were is it 🤩
I turned up to site today to open up for the lads, I took my new Porsche 911, they said wow that a nice car. I said, lads if you work hard and put all your hours into the company….I’ll buy another one next year 😂😂😂😂😂
Merry Christmas!🎄😅
make sure he learns about saw safety and kickback and especially the safety squint.
Be great to see more black folk grafting on building sites
What a great gesture to make however I don’t think apprentice, must have a name surely? has enough knowledge or experience to choose the 3 most important power tools . I was surprised he didn’t automatically go for a high spec cordless drill that IMO is the basis for any trade. Or does he have 1/2/3 already?
Beats having a miserable boss for 4 years, legend
Man said he wanted a jigsaw and never even got one.
apprentices are very indecisive
Where’s this shop
wait?!?! did he ask whats a reciprocating saw as a carpenter??
