Like PART 1, make sure to correct me on any incorrect info or villains I missed so I can make sure to fix it in the future compilation video. Thanks!
gotta do your due diligence and play suicide squad kill the justice league. if you want to get super crazy you can try liking the game too
Though these villains are returning villains. They're very different versions of the villains we know. Im talking about the Audio Dramas on Spotify of both Batman Unburied(2021) and Ridder: Secerts of Gotham(2022). An example is the Ridder, which is more part of the Bat-Family than he is a villain. Knowing Batgirl and helping Batman a few times, or Azrael, being the main villain of Secerts of Gotham, killing unknown rogues as to please his God, and kill Ridder last.
I'm assuming that the WW2 Tank posesed by a confederate ghost is some other hero's villain then...Because I'm pretty sure that was a villain on Brave and the Bold
@@nightspawnson-of-luna4936 He's not a villain, he's the Haunted Tank.
@@GamerSlyRatchet1 Oh...Sorry...
Quick correction: The Long Halloween comic actually ends with the reveal that there were multiple Holiday killers; Gilda and Harvey doing the inital killings and Alberto coming it at the end as a dillusional scapegoat.
No Alberto and Gilda both did the killing. Harvey didn’t till the end. Gilda couldn’t have been holiday the whole time because Alberto had to fake his death
@@paulakroy2635 Oh oops. I misremembered, but the point still stands Gilda was always Holiday.
If I remember correctly, the reason that story is so iconic is because they left it ambiguous who did what.
A classic case of ending a story without actually explaining anything so people theorize about it forever.
Like inception, or total recall, or depending who you ask, The Killing Joke
@@spencernaugle no, wtf are you on about? She literally explains that she did the killings. The story is overhyped ass with people headcanons giving it more depth than there actually is.
As a fun fact, the giant penny isn't even necessarily a reference to the Penny Plunderer. The penny's origin was retconned a few issues after the Penny Plunderer's debut to be related to the Joker, and over time, it has been attributed to other villains like Two-Face.
The Penny Plunderer has been so disrespected that DC has tried to disconnect his own memento from him. I expect DC to realize their mistake and feature the Penny Plunderer as the main villain in The Batman sequel, and then give him his own TV series
But does it double in size every day?
A potential addition:
In the Batman: The Brave and the Bold series, Calendar Man does make his first on-screen debut, but he isn't actually able to summon holiday icons. This power belongs to Calendar King, who is Calendar Man given reality bending powers by Batmite. Calendar King may be considered as a separate villain, but I can't remember if you counted villains with the same identity (like Firefly and Phosphorus).
He did court them
Weirdly enough. I'd honestly consider Calander King and Man to be the same but not Phosphorus and Firefly. Like it feels more like the difference between King Joker and Joker vs. Twoface and Judge, which feels more seperated
@@icantnotthink3282 There is a Batman villain in the comics called Doctor Phosphorus, but he's unrelated.
I defintely think a follow up video could be done where you tally each time a villain has shown up. I'd be really interested to see how often the joker is in batman related media
!!!!
I like that idea. but the only problem!, is that most of the reoccurrences are going to be just the joker. which might get kind of repetitive after a while.
@@cherishporter5314 maybe instead of doing each film in turn and the villains that appear in them, you could do the villains and all the media they appear in? (So the Joker would be first, then as the list goes on it’ll be more obscure villains)? Idk!
@@cherishporter5314 it would allow for less repetitiveness and to be able to see more closely how each villain evolves between all their appearances!
@@cherishporter5314 I think sort of a shorter video where its like Joker at first with x number of times, then so and so forth. Obviously its all joker but who would be second? Thrid? and so on
Polka dot man mentioned in both videos, Polkheads keep winning
what about KGBeast being in Batman v Superman? He's the guy working for Luthor who Batman shoot in the Warehouse to save Martha.
Yeah and there was a KGBeast in the Justice League show
@@shokkushock He is only looking at Batman exclusive media
Wasn't that just a random thug
@@drikeatmeyIt’s KG Beast in that his name is Anatoli Knyazev, which Batman says earlier in the movie while talking to Alfred. But he never gets a costume or a villain name or anything like that.
@@drikeatmeyhe added Catwoman, Birds of Prey and Pennyworth…. I mean I think we all know that JL animated not only clears these ALL three of those shows, but it actually features a guy. I think you might know him. Cape, cowl and pointy ears. Goes by the name Batman.
Gentlemen Ghost I'd argue is more of a Hawkman enemy, but whatever. Tweedledee and Tweedledum aren't just henchmen. I don't know how they've been used in modern comics, but they began as main antagonists and had no relation to the Mad Hatter.
I Mean, Hatter, Alice, the White Rabbit and the smoking catterpillar all make the cut, but the twins didn't...
also Chesire did not make the cut, but I understand that one
As an Arkham fan I was very annoyed every time a new villain appeared on this list JUST before their Arkham debut happened meaning that Arkham’s games got little mention
Thank you for these videos. I'm impressed by how much Batman media you include. A lot of hard work went into them and I'm always very fascinated by Batman villains, no matter how obscure.
My only two nitpicks: Tweedledee and Tweedledum are usually independent criminals and have only been linked to Mad Hatter in adaptations and more recent comics like Paul Dini's Detective Comics run. The second, you missed Matatoa in Beware the Batman. He has a minor role, but he's from the comics, he's not anyone's henchman, and I think him being named and his background being discussed distinguishes him.
Glad to know that not only was Beware The Batman featured (of course) but that it was present in the thumbnail.
I've had a fascination with obscure early-2010s action-driven serialized animated shows (Tron Uprising) and black sheep adaptation of a popular superhero franchise (Spider-Man The New Animated Series) as of late, and I was wanting to watch that show any way I could
It's on Max if you have that!
I have to say every time there's a dramatic reimagining of the Rougues the art directors always cook so hard with Scarecrow specifically, I've yet to see a bad Scarecrow
I prefer to think that it's not the lighting that makes you blue, you just happened to get back from a blue man group audition before filming this. Anyways, another reccollect banger, let's go
Can't believe he went on camera after he blue himself
@@eggshelf didn't even audition yet, just blue himslef prematurely
Reccollect is the GOAT of media deep-dives. Heavily slept-on.
I love how much joy you take in doing this, it really radiates through the whole thing.
Always love your deep dive... challenges? I don't if I should call em that. Anyway, great job, mustn't be easy researching these obscure media
You continue to blow me away with the effort that goes into these media rabbit holes. The dedication to research then edit these behemoths is crazy.
I love when questions I have get answered that I'm too lazy to figure out myself. Such an underrated channel Reccollect!
This was so much fun and so informative thank you
Once again, your special ability of making me watch hours of deep dives of franchises I had no interest before is astoundishing.
I am not a Batman fan, so I don't really have anything to contribute, but maybe there could have been a mention of the canceled 2022 Batgirl movie that had Firefly as a villain.
Hell yeah, part 2
a banger video dude!!!
Pennyworth's Raven Society was originally considered to be the villain of the 1990s' Batman Returns but Penguin obviously got the roll instead. The plot was supposed to be a sort of Batman esque Maltese Falcon storyline featuring ravens instead of falcons.
Great vid!
reccollect RETURNS!!!
you are a fucjking legend bro
i loved this!
Very awesome series you've done here!
Great video!!!!
Me and the boys been waiting on this one
YOU LOOK SICK AF IN THIS VIDEO
Thanks for all the Gotham nostalgia
Gotham Knights does feature Starro the Conqueror as technically the main villain of the later added mode.
He's typically a Justice League villain though.
Idk how much time you spend to make this, but its very good.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Twiddle twins but they definitely should count since they started as their own villains in the comics.
How the fuck did you make this so interesting?
You should do this but with spiderman Villians next
Part 3 def gonna open with someone using Failsafe
Really love this series man, have you considered doing something similar for other DC characters like Superman or Wonder Woman or even doing something like prominent Marvel Comics characters like Spider-Man or the Xmen
These videos have been great, I'm still watching the video so maybe you say something at the end of the video- but do you have the villian list somewhere we can access? Would love to have a peek at it
im that poor ive been converting these to watch when i dont have wifi and i have to say i watch you more than TV hahahahahaha best videos every.
hey, I had that phone game as a kid. Dont diss it. it is truly amazing
Finally I've been waiting for a long while on this
Something something "The Key's unlocking fingers" something something "getting fre-key 👅"
22:51 I actually played this when I was younger and I loved it. If you can find one to play, I recommend it
LET'S GO.
This series is SO GOOD.
Music mister was in justice league unlimited, in the episode where they meet the 1950's comic book characters and the creepy psychic mutant thing
This didn't occur to me during the whole first video, but a few minutes into this video i cant help but think of all the antagonists in The Venture Brothers. It feels like they were inspired by some of these wacky Batman villains. And anyone who hasn't seen that show should btw
Fun Fact: The guy who played Floronic Man in Batman and Robin was John Glover who voiced the Riddler in BTAS.
You looked like the Dano riddler in the opening
This was an amazing series!
Though if you REALLY wanted to check every nook and cranny, do board / tabletop games count? Theres multiple boardgames based on batman, some of which come with figurines to represent the characters such as Batman Gotham City Chronicles from Monolith. Theres even a Batman Miniatures game from the company Knight Models where you can create a team of heroes/villains to fight with. It even included both Comic Bane and Dark Knight Rises Movie Bane as two separate characters!
Lego Supervillains game: "Am I a joke to you?"
Gilda was one of the three holiday killers in the comic
56:59 SNOWFLAME?!
Kite Man
Hell Yeah
35:39 how could you forget about the infamous spoony
omg Crimson Cloak is a synonym of Red Hood
ok the inclusion of Crimson Cloak technically ups the Clayface count by 1 which I am happy about!
9:15 this guy sounds somewhat like a character called nemesis
Brave and the Bold was so elite
You forgot the funniest bit about Kite Man. His name is Charles Brown
In Dark Knight Rises, Deathstroke does appear as the CIA guy who captures Bane at the beginning of the movie
That's Bill Wilson AKA CIA, not Slade Wilson.
It took this long for the Court of Owls to appear?
36:21 Iirc the carpenter is mentioned in the lore for batman arkham city and she appeared in one of the arkham tie in comics...
What about the Posessed Sherman Tank from Brave and the Bold
ALSO no Batmite!?!
3:17 - 9 planets? poor guy got a nerf...
52:46 It has excellent songs like "IIIIII'M A WOMAAAAAAAAAN"
You have to do this for spiderman !
You forgot the best villain in the brave and the bold John Wilkes booth
39:08 Oh, dude, does the penny double in size every day?
Dudes research is insane
God bless you ✝️ 🙏 ❤️
mannnnn get this dude outta the blue room
I really like the videos but can I suggest to tone down the blue on your face cam sections. Its a bit straining to look at.
❤❤❤
John Pork vs Batman
Did you consider the kid in the ninja costume as a Red Hood variant?
Now do it with Spiderman!!!
But ever since Batman the brave and the bold, Tweedledee & Tweedledum became their own Villains I suggest they count
Who would have thought batman would beat up Cthulhu.
I mean would Phillip Stryver count in DKR...maybe cause I'm coping with I won't get a Burn Gorman played Scarecrow but I can dream
Suprised you considered Black Masks sister Circe Sionis from Batwoman, yet didn't include Black Masks father Richard Sionis/The Mask who originated in the Gotham show before making his way into the comics books
I don't think it goes with your rules. But the Carpenter was in Arkham City.
Well.
Their cards were in Zsasz' hide out, it's mentioned she worked with a lot of the villains getting them lairs.
The Telltale series is AMAZING. I recommend you play it, especially if you're a fan of the recent film. Since said film stea- err, 'borrows' a few plot points.
Gotham City Imposters mention! Shoutout to the 100 other people who played this!
*in Matpat voice* MUUUUUSIAAAACCCCC MEEIISTER
luckily doctor double X couldn't make another clone or...
I misremambered the Professor Pyg/The Batman reference. I guess it was Beware the Batman instead.
Was it intentional for #243 to land in Arkham Knight? Riddler anyone?
The only thing Batman related in BVS is Batman, Alfred, David S Goyer writing and a Joker and Harley Quinn Easter Egg
i'm blue daba dee daba die...
Deathstroke and Tarantula are both more Dick Grayson Robin/Nightwing Villains than Batman Villains. I know you mentioned it for Deathstroke, but it should also be true for Tarantula.
is #163 owl man a separate person from watchmen owl man?
Yes, one is from the watchmen universe, the other one is from the universe where everyone good is evil
Plus his name is Nite Owl.
What's with the blue camera
What about the lego dc super villains game
John Carmack?
Pretty sure White Rabbit was from Batwoman, not Gotham
Talon?
Is it too late to say you forgot the multiple Batman pinball tables? Don’t think they have any new villains-especially since they’re mostly based on the films (89, Forever, The Dark Knight) and the Adam West show-but still. They’re still considered games to me, especially since I still see them in arcades and the like
Of course it'd be you
Blue
29:10 batmite?
Isn't Gentleman Ghost mostly a Hawkman villain ?
He kind of a shared villain like clock king and vertigo
