Honestly when i played joyful i was expecting buddy to lose against big L, Since every Warlord she had killed up to that point was either weak already or severely weakened (Dice and Sindy) But big L? He was at full power and is just as strong as satan, a guy that Brad could only beat with 3 more people helping him, Kinda weird that buddy can Just kick his ass honestly.
Honestly I agree. Big Lincoln not only is incredibly strong but also experienced. To see a warlord with such an intimidating design and also a buildup (though not a big one) died so easily is so disappointing. The only excuse I could give is that Big Lincoln was holding back the entire time because Buddy is a child and the last girl in the world, this lead him to be bested by Buddy, but I am sure he choose this. Atleast that is my speculation.
It’s also worth noting in the room you fight Big Lincoln in you also see the corpses of about four other people who seem to have recently fought (and got their shit kicked in) by Big Lincoln. Coming fresh off of that (presumably more intense) fight would not have been good for his stamina, making it so Buddy had a fighting chance. In addition, Big Lincoln is still one of the hardest bosses in the game, meaning you’re gonna be fighting tooth and nail to beat him, and the whole line about Satan needing to be fought by four and Big L only facing one can be explained by gameplay differences (Satan is a bonus boss, Big L is mandatory). Oh, and if you subscribe to the theory that Sweetheart is female and/or Hopeful’s Amy being canon, then it can be argued that female Joy mutants (and by extension, users) could be much more powerful than male mutants/users, with the Joy providing Buddy a leg up over Big Lincoln (who has no evidence for using Joy and was probably not an addict).

If you've ever seen it, Lisa the Painful's setting is more like Twin Peaks than it is the Last of Us or something with very defined parameters and dangerous hazards. More surreal than realistic. Lisa sort of follows dream logic at times and is far more open to interpretation, especially when every fan cannon has their interpretation or slight alteration to what happened to cause the Flash.
Late post but I always felt the Lisa-verse played it fast-n-loose when it came to concrete power levels. Austin always seemed more concerned with telling a compelling story with horrible characters than he did creating power-scaling charts and tier lists. For example, Austin, in a twitter statement stated that Lisa was in fact the "worst" character in the game. He further clarified it wasn't because he viewed her as the most morally evil; after all, she was an abuse victim and a child. No, the psychic trauma of what happened to her resonated and carried on through integral characters such as Buzzo and Brad who arguably played a great roll in shaping the world. Lisa the person was a physically weak, helpless victim. Lisa the concept, however, is a nightmare that haunts the entire world, as seen from the POV of Brad and Buzzo. So from a narrative perspective, Buddy as a character represents an attempt at breaking the cycle and the desire to be free from trauma. Trauma that she isn't even fully aware of such as Marty's abuse of Lisa, Lisa's abuse of Buzzo, or Brad's childhood impacting many of his life choices. Unlike Lisa, she embodies this in the literal sense as well, having obtained more power than something like Big L in an extremely short span of time. It's not the perfect answer as it sort of boils down to Austin simply writing her this way for the sake of giving the broader story a conclusion. But I think he was more concerned with the message or idea of it rather than the finite details.
I will focus on making theory/explanation/speculative content for the main games for now. If things are going well , I will go to fan games side and start making speculative content about them too and also reviewing their content. I hope that I could become significant enough that I can show some spotlight to some fan game project. But for now you can expect me to ramble ramble until the sun set.

I have a theory of my own, a bit boring and includes fangames, which of course is not really legit since world building has long improved over the course of almost 7 years. But what fun is that? It's just as simple as how much they want something, joy intensifies the user's innermost desires. Joymutants come in all sizes and danger levels, you may think that women get much stronger compared to men but there's mutants in lustful (I know, dead demo, sue me) that are pathetically weak. We have mutants that pose little threat like Punkert, Neg and Buzzo and then we have mutants like Amy, Sweetheart, Heart, and Herb who are very dangerous and aggressive. We know Hart's motivation, wanted to get laid more than anything, and even going the lengths of starting a gang and searching years with 0 proof that there was one out there. Buzzo did everything for Lisa, he's obviously very strong but mutated and mutilated himself for her. Buddy's resolve is cemented into her very character, able to reject Brad, Rando and the entirety of Eastern Olathe. The ending if you don't take the vaccine, I think her resolve changed as a mutant, she completed her goal of never being held back and protected and seems docile, maybe she matured she wanted to "save the world" assuming that's the kid in her arms. Very frail theory but it doesn't hurt to share.
I'm pretty sure there isn't a genuinely 'good' reason outside of it being the simplest method for her to just be OP due to Joy and a cracked kit. No offense to Austin, but Joyful was either fairly rushed out or just cranked out to "get it over with" when compared to Painful (though Painful's 3rd area was pretty hit or miss too) and considering he's all but washed himself clean of the series; I'm going to assume it was the latter or a combination of the two. He also would've had to take a lot more into account if say, Buddy was dependent on Dusty "protecting" her, or attracting aggro for her to deal damage, or if she just relied on Dusty entirely to even beat the fights due to skill gap (which would've made the most sense in my opinion given this is a prepubescent kid we're talking about).
In my opinion it would be great idea if buddy cant just kill strong enemy or couple of enemy in fair fight. Imagine how cool it would be if buddy need use stealth mode for killing enough people for fair fight, or make her enemies in bad situation (like using tnt for some rocks on a hill to block exit of some cave and then kill all people in the dark). Also would be great if buddy can die in 3 serious hits, but you can ambush (like beltboi) and using dodge skills (like alex), it would be more interesting concept for the game.
Yeah and also i think it would better if buddy had a reason other than " i hate men" for her to kill the warlords Like they get ambushed by vega so they have to kill him Try to get help from mr beautiful but he attacks them Then rando getting kidnapped so buddy has to sneak to the hernandez arae to steal a car or smth and aslo accidentally kills lardy and so on and so on
It would have been cool to also see her learn other skills, like we know brad trained her so say you unequip the sword and you can start use Armstrong style or maybe later down the line she learns to use Armstrong style with her sword or maybe have terry hintz ( forgot what he changed his name too) teach buddy finger beam or dodge skills so not only we see buddy get stronger it gives terry more reason to be their besides activating easy mode
