      I wouldn't say it was that bad. I personally dont like the 3 game wild card format as it makes it less intense but twins vs Houston was a nice series, Braves vs Phillies while disappointing for the best team in the reg season still had some amazing highlights with some good tension, and the Alds and Nlds are where your bigger moments should and probably will happen.

    As a Rangers fan, I'm still in disbelief that this happened. The Rangers took down the Goliath of MLB for the past 6 years on their own turf and they did it in absolutely commanding fashion. As much as we love Dusty, his decision making has made no sense and led to a lot of failure. Like 2 times the entire season?

    Tbh all the pressure is on the Phillies. Many thought this series was over after game 2 but a young star emerged from the Diamondback pitching staff to get it done and now he has the ball in game 7. He turned it around starting wise and Phillies now have the image of choking a series they failed to put away atleast 3 games ago.
    Ik it's crazy seeing how the Phillies have handled pressure so far but I got the kid on the mound for the dbacks with them taking game 7 (plz don't age like milk with him getting only 1 out 😅).

    Astros fan here, tough loss but I'm proud of the way the team fought over the last month. Coming off the KC sweep I wasn't even sure we'd make the playoffs so to rally and come within a game of making the WS is still a great accomplishment. Gonna miss Dusty even though I do think it's time for him to hang em up.
    This exactly what you'd want from a rivalry series. Hats off to the Rangers for fighting back and beating us four times in Houston. Respectfully I hate yalls guts! lol Yall play a great brand of baseball and honestly I really like a lot of the players on yalls team. Especially the rooks Jung and Carter. All hustle and heart with them. We kind of had that last year with Pena but this year I felt we were a bit lacking in the young spark plug department.

There's nothing showing it wasn't intentional but there is surely showing it is (also Abreau doesn't have control issues, especially inside pitches or with his fastball, as he only hit one guy all year).

      It's weird they were trying to act like there was zero question about that. We're supposed to believe it was just a coincidence the hottest batter and the guy staring down his home runs gets hit by accident?

    As much as I like the Dbacks players, team & fans, I really hope the Phillies win because: it would send a HORRIBLE message to the MLB owners & GMs if a team with a bottom 10 payroll can make the World Series (same with Tampa in 2020).

    • @ajsantiago8574
      @ajsantiago8574 7 месяцев назад +1

      Did people feel that way when the Florida Marlins won the World Series in 2003? When the White Sox and Cards won in 2005 and 06 with middle of the pack payrolls, or when Tampa made it to the World Series in 2008 with the 28th payroll? Rangers in 2010 were 26th. So many examples throughout history where a mid to bottom payroll made the world series and even won. These DBacks would not change or send that type of message. If anything, it should send a message that owners should consider locking up their stars early, a tactic that the Braves do a lot of as well.

      1. The white sox & cards were 13th & 11th in payroll for their respective world series wins + for context: each of their payrolls were still much more than half of the 2nd highest payroll (not counting the yankees because obvious reasons).
      2. The marlins & rays have near always been bottom 10 payroll as franchises, which sends the message of "we don't like spending money" to their fanbases, that responds kindly with continuous bad attendance numbers.
      3. I can concede the rangers making the world series in 2010 even with a very low payroll has actually turned out well (or at least ok) for that team.
      - The Dbacks this year (which again i do like) have less than half the amount of payroll of the Phils & Rangers, *which includes old madbums albatross contract. So again i say, i REALLY don't think it sends a good message to the league if they find too much success in the postseason.

    I have been waiting for Simien and Lowe to get going. Still waiting. I hope Seager and Doli stay hot and Simien and Lowe get on a little four-game heater going. I am a lifelong Rangers fan and this team has totally shocked me. I know they're good, and I know I shouldn't be shocked because Boch is at the helm, but i remember back to April and I was like....'Who are all these guys?' after watching an inning here and there of abysmal baseball last season. I mean i knew Simien, Seager, Perez and Leclerc....but I had to get to know this team. It's been a ride, and I love my boys of summer. Them boys rake.
