Thanks for the great video. I think yours was the first video that had a positive spin on these changes. I liked your perspective. All the best. Cheers!

Thanks, Dave! I think, in general, people are super freaked out about the future, and boy do I understand that. But naive optimism is the only thing that gets me out of bed these days, so I'm sticking with it. :) And on that note, have a Happy New Year!

Great video, as usual! I'm not as excited and kinda unsure about this new direction, but chapters definitely needed to go! Anyways Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!

I'm always nervous about change, so I get the conflicted feels. Fingers crossed, tho. And Happy New Year to you, too!

There are a couple of characters i'd like to quest with again.

It would definitely be nice to have more missions from the Mages Guild. It can take quite a while to level up since we only get one mission a day, and Lore books are just 5 xp.

It's been a while since I checked, but I don't believe the Fighter's or Mage's Guild dailies give a faction bonus. The Undaunted definitely does, tho.

You are about one of few people excited for new year. I am completely not excited. So much so that I bought bunch of other games on sale, as ESO basically went like "I won't have ANY content in 2025 and pray that I not will render myself unplayable". All changes, minus separation pve from pvp sound horrible. Especially when they boast about 'more zones like Craglorn' where I ask myself if devs even know their own game. Craglorn, was a FAILURE. So much of a failure that it's failing sent them scrapping northern Murkmire plans altogether. Craglorn is still map where people do .. at best World Bosses ? And sit in Belkarth or grind xp at Spellscar. And ZOS is threatening even Spellscar activity if they increase difficulty for everyone.
And when they announced lack of dlc they promised 'return to old stories' well two years passed with zero except for insulting Mel quest for Greymoor event as proof. They also promised to heed player feedback, adress Cyro .. two years passed and we saw nothing. So why would I believe now ? Now when I hear their idea of 'return' is guild stories .. I legit cringe. DB and Thieves need good writers first. Mel quest was horribly insulting to anyone who played and paid attention to Greymoor. Mages and Fighters .. second one has no need for new storytelling, first one was awful so I really don't look forward for new quests to overglorified bookworms.
There was one chapter people asked them for years to fix, and it was Greymoor. Then we have abandoned side plot of Summerset with Darien .. none of these are 'guilds' stories. I would say companions deserved more quests, but they spoke nothing about these.

There will definitely be new content, it just won't come in one big dump in June. You mentioned Darien--I think he's one of the NPCs we'll be seeing more of, though that is a guess, not based on inside information. But the Ithelia story concerns the Magna Ge, so I'm expecting Meridia & Darien to show up in '25 or '26. The letter doesn't specifically mention the Companion quests, but "expanding on current stories" covers them as well, and I believe both Zerith and Tan have hooks in their stories included to set up additional plots. YMMV, of course, and I get the frustration, but I genuinely think the letter is good news.
Hope it's a good year for you!
