I saw the music video about the guy seeing the mother in an abusive relationship and I kind of shows he loves her not her daughter which I think some people think that's what it's about, but I think forest gump interprets the song better, I feel it's a man whose in love with a girl who is troubled doesn't have to be jenny's situation and tries to runaway from love like she doesn't deserve his love in a way
