- A quick run through of how to change the lamps/bulbs up front (not indicator)save the guys at Halfords a job .
Main beam bulb H7 and high beam bulb H1

For all those who wonder how to replace Position Light -- small bulb bellow big one, visible on 0:53, bulb with white base, transparent orange back with thin white and orange wires.
1. remove big bulb (High Beams) as shown in video, this will give you better access to Position Light.
2. hold Position Light by white and transparent orange base, twist it 1/4 and pull it out.
3. take out old bulb (it will be a bit stiff) and place new one in.
4. hold Position Light by white and transparent orange base and insert it back inside (it makes CLICK sound).
5. put back the High Beams light (as shown in video)
6. test the lights, if it works don't forget the black sealing.

Just want to take 2 mins to thank you. Dipped blew on the motorway on a late night run to emergency doc appointment for the Mrs. Sunday night, pitch dark. Pulled in at a Shell garage, happened to carry an H7, watched your vid, and was back on the road in 2 minutes. Life safe. So, thanks again and keep up the good work.

Those retaining clips can be a bastard when you can't see what you are doing sometimes

Was that second lamp (with the orange cover) under the sidelight, the highbeam? Or is your highbeam in the same bulb as your headlight?
Right so the single bigger bulb is main beam ( H7) the single bulb is high beam (H1)and the one with orange rear is side light

Good video. Had to change a headlight bulb on my 9n polo, they put 2 torx screws to hold the bulb in and hardly any space. Took 40 mins for one bulb and some garages take the bumper off to change the bulb. Why make them so difficult.
+Lone Mechanic I know it's ridiculous it's a serviceable part on every car , can't believe I'm saying this but far easier on a Renault lol .
The cjrshop Agree they should be easy to change. To change both sidelight and headlight bulbs in a yaris only took me 5 minutes. Have see friends take the bumper off a megan to change a bulb.
You can do that left hand light without removing the battery maybe I should do a video 🤣🤦♂️👍✌️🛠
On mine the washer bottle is preventing me getting in. Garage said the washer bottle needs unbolting to they can move it aside

Move the expansion tank out of the way. Elf sized hands also help.
Hello, I have to change the small light next to the high beam on a 2013 Civic (Belgium). So it is behind the battery. I see one round cover, is it the same cover for this little light? Thank you.
How did you get the coolant reservoir out?? Stopped me going sny further.

Very simple twist out the lamp holder and pull the 501 lamp out .
I can’t seem to remove my 501 bulb. Any reason? I turn it as you suggest but nothing?
How the fuck do I access the on the coolant tank side? That hose beneath is hard and blocks the access..
I can’t take oute the little lamp any advice?

A real fiddly job to do. Heaven help you if you’ve got big hands! It’s a lot easier if you lift the coolant expansion tank out of the way for the near side lamp, and remove the battery to get at the offside lamp. Someone holding a torch is a great help as well, even in daylight.
Don’t touch the lamp glass, but if you do, be sure to clean it with a clean cloth or tissue.
My main lights for driving at night have stopped working, is this to replace them ones? Thanks in advance

you need to pull out 3 top hoses out of the cooling box, lift the box out and slide it to the side. there is another hose on bottom side, dont remove that. now you can reach with your hand and remove the bulb

neno202020 can coolant spill? I’m afraid of pulling out the hoses..i tried lifting it without pulling out the hoses but windshield washer tank is in the way..

Dipped beam (normal driving headlights) are H1. H7 is for the full beam.
What kind of bulb does the 8th gen take? H7?
