Dude. 100% need to release a CuJo compilation. I can still remember the intro to like NHL 99 or whatever when he misplays the puck behind the net and then dives across to stop it with the shaft of his paddle. Totally Epic, totally due for a resurgence in relevance. Steve's Paddle Emporium demands it.

Toronto talk : My prediction was correct, not wearing the C made him step up like crazy while he evolved. Suddenly a wild Matthews appears. Tavares will retire eventually, Matthews is next. Reilly was a close second in my mind. Bunting is crazy good. I'd give him the Calder myself. I still think Campbell is injured, something is up. I'd go with him in the long but they might be keepin him off not to compare goalies but because of another reason which is scarier. Remember what happened with Potvin and Cujo - switching up and making them compete makes them both worse. I'm a goalie I can't get too much time off otherwise I lose my rhythm. It's a thing. I know we're goalies. Deal with it.

Jake Debrusk being moved up to the Bruins top line with Bergeron and Marchand scoring his first career hat trick against the kings. Also the fact that goal number 1 happened like 1 minute into the game. Goal 2 wasn’t far behind goal 1.

I think that's a bit out of scope for hat picks, because that's not a play. If The Hockey Guy never mentioned it in one of his videos, it would be fair criticism, but the various hockey programs on RUclips have different focus.

@@Deadman012 Yeah, but that's an exception, not the rule, and there have been at least 3 numbers retired around the league this season, and I don't recall the others being in hat picks. It's not what these are about.

Watching Hat Picks on a 65 inch TV was a mistake. Steve's face is way too close to the camera, which only really works if you're watching on a phone

@@therealten8090 The obvious answers are Jakub Zboril and Zachary Senyshyn from 2015. Trent Frederic is in the NHL, but not playing up to a 29th overall pick. John Beecher at 30th overall is not yet in the NHL, but his numbers at the University of Michigan are not impressive (although he's probably a bottom-6 forward there, considering how many elite players they have). I didn't have a particular player in mind.

I've been a Jeremy Swayman Stan since he was at UMaine. He is gonna do FANTASTIC things in the NHL
as a Carolina fan I enjoyed that first hat pick but also feel a little disappointed. There were two incredible passing plays in this game and my personal opinion is that the better of the two was left out. Watching this game I was hoping both would be grouped together into one hat pick.

Not sure if this was filmed before it happened, but the Avalanche saved a goal off of the goal line against the Islanders (I Think). You couldn't see white, but you could see a little pink! As close as it gets!

The thing with Quick's saves is that when he makes the save it's amazing and no one can believe it, but when he misses he is lambasted for being grossly out of position.
I'm with you 100% on that. It's his style and too many "fans" just don't get it. Gotta keep in mind, it's LA. A "what have you done for me lately?" town.
