Here are some other Horror movies: Annihilation, The Tall Grass, The Green Inferno, The Ritual, Identity, Color out of Space, The Void, Identity, The Thing 2011, Hellraiser 2022, Old, The Belko Experiment, Beach House and Coherence 💡👍
Just watched the MEG2. or Basically Jason Stathoms character from the Expendables and Fast and Furious save the world on a jet ski. This was a way better SHARK movie.
Fun fact: I was watching a marine biologist rate shark attack movies and she stated that the whole blood attracting sharks is a myth and the blood would have to actually get in their nose for them to pursue you. She stated that sharks are curious creatures so I take it a flare would probably draw their attention instead of ward them off
Actually funny because they demonstrated this in Finding Nemo. The shark sees Dory bleed but doesn't react to it until it actually goes into his nose lol I never thought about that until now
You guys should react to Crawl (2019). Like this movie, behind a basic title hides a surprisingly good movie with a great level of tension maintained throughout
Claire Holt is a phenomenal actress. She’s most famous for her role in The Originals which is a spinoff tv series from The Vampire Diaries. Technically she’s in both but she’s mainly in The Originals 😊❤ I love her and she played in an Australian show called H2O Mermaids. Cuz she’s Australian. 💖💖💖
I really love Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. I completely agree that they had great chemistry in this. Which makes it even sadder that the sister dies. I have to be honest, the hallucination hint completely went over my head so I was pretty surprised with the ending lool. I loved your reaction to it! So much fun!
Completely confused how this movie was so underrated by audiences when it came out. It's one of the finest shark movies out there. So freaking tense, and the sharks look great!
When the guys were pulling them onto the boat, that shark that yeeted Lisa by her leg really did not want her to live. It said nah girl where do you think your going.
this movie is definitely one you watch with friends. Saw it in theatres with some old friends and we had a blast despite my absolute fear of the ocean, but i honestly couldn't tell you much of what happened lmao. 🤣
By the way, please react to “Crawl” (2019). It’s a great modern day monster/creature movie like this movie that you both just reacted to, but with a better or proper ending. The intensity is real. Just because you are on land, and not underwater doesn’t mean that you won’t have the same level of intensity 😊
I absolutely love the cinematography in the direction... However there was a foreign film I seen in the Philippines that has such a similar twist that I can't help but feel they watched that film and almost Copy/pasted ... So much so that I knew exactly what was happening just like Greg did but for the completely different reason of just seeing the prior film... Aside from that detail do great film and also not a chance in hell I would ever do this in real life 😂😆
Matthew Modine is so good at playing weird and creepy characters but he is literally the nicest person ever. He came to a small film festival and stayed and talked to everyone. Very chill, just happy to be around other film nerds
7:58 i can totally relate, the first time i got in with scuba gear on i was positive i couldn't breathe because it felt unnatural to be breathing underwater.
You guys are right about the ending, it totally messed it all up for me. It could easily be edited to cut out that last scene and just end with her in the cage happy and the guy yelling at her to try and make her realize she's hallucinating and that would be a stellar film with that so close but no hope feeling like what you get with Open Water (I think that's the right movie)
Moral of this story: if your bf says you're boring and your sister tries to use that to pressure you to go on a boat with strange men in order to go in a cage to see sharks in the middle of the ocean... Tell her to F**k all the way off. Then order another drink and lay on the beach. 😎
IMDb often rates movies lower, that’s why I look on Amazon to see what the people rate it and I think it’s usually more accurate. Haven’t seen the first one in so long I mixed it up with the second one. I thought it ended differently but enjoyable movie.
My town does shark cage diving, we don't burley the water though, they've found certain music attracts them. Something about the vibrations in the water. Great whites are migratory so its entirely seasonal but we have a regular female who comes back every year who's been nicknamed Moo.
You almost got it. You mentioned that at the end it felt "Hollywood", and earlier you were complementing the groundness of it. That was the point. The Hollywood ending was a hallucination. And it felt different from the rest of the movie.
I think it goes on too long, it takes the big climax of the movie but instead of a normal falling off resolution it takes a nosedive back from the tension while completely undermining her "escape" with the casual rescue from the coast guard I agree with them, the rhythm of the scene just doesn't feel right. Maybe if they had just faded out after it showed she was hallucinating, or she hallucinated something totally different while ACTUALLY escaping it would feel better idk I thought she would just be hallucinating her sister lived but when they got to the surface she would realize her sister isnt even there.
i remember a video I saw once where they had like a shark expert watch some shark scenes and comment on it. And she said that a shark may take a bite out of curiosity but a regular human is not big enough to provide the protein and nutrition that the shark needs so they would most likely not eat us. And especially they would not make a lot of effort to eat us cause it's just not worth it.
This movie is severely underrated and an all-out great monster horror film! As someone who’s only really afraid of sharks and deep water, this movie got ALL the nipples chilled. The ending hallucination bugged a lot of people, not me so much, but I get that it falls into the “it was all a dream” trope, so yeah. Great reactions ❤
This movie is dope as hell, never watched the sequel. But I did watch Fall and lemme tell you, that film was also dope as hell!!! Y’all should check it out
I love it when Greg is with Tara or Roxy lol they all have great chemistry and the banter is always super funny. this is a pretty good movie I love a good shark movie I wouldn't have gotten in that rusty ass cage and I want to cage and free dive eventually.
This movie is one of the best shark movies out there. It feeds on the fear of claustrophobia more then the shark, but still lets the shark get its moments. The acting is pretty damn good, and of course the cinematography is amazing. I believe they built a huge pool to film most of it. A great feat on the Shark genre. The sequel is good too but not nearly as good as this.
This movie is so underrated! It’s not even funny! This is the modern Jaws in my opinion. Because it is really scary for a shark film. Also Greg says that hallucination Cate being alive was really Hollywood…but it is very plausible that Cate survived a bite. She had all sorts of metal in her arms right in front of her so the shark potentially could have bit her and got a mouthful of metal and left her be. Because shark bites genuinely are them curious to find out what you are and if your food or not. Most sharks hate the taste of humans and spit you out after they figure out what you are. I hate the ending but love it at the same time. I hate it because I wanted Cate to survive but I loved the hallucination reveal. I think the tension building is just sooooo good! The acting is really good and well acted.
Yall don’t even understand how intense it was when I first watched this. And my taslaphobia was through the roof, I really enjoyed this film and that twist the very last minute at the end of the movie honestly left me stunned. I’ve watched this movie least four times now
For me personally, the second one was drivel. Some scenes were great and the sharks certainly looked good, but they were far too magical and overpowered given the unique scenario.
Rule number one... never Never! Get in a cheap shark cage... from strangers as well! F that! And rule number 2.... when you break up... don't go in the cage super risky to prove your ex you are "fun" .... man! Loll I would never never
saw this movie in theaters because it came out on my 17th birthday truly the most stressful birthday ever. my hands were over my eyes for 50% of the movie

I’m ngl… the first time I saw this movie in the theater, I almost screamed when the flare revealed the sharks. But when one of them almost got the girl, I did. And then my sisters laughed at me 🥹🥴 GREAT MOVIE THO!! AND I WAS 16 😤
Fantastic movie with an ending that was neither here nor there for me. Their daring escape was incredible, it was tense, it was stressful, it was awesome, edge of my seat throughout the whole thing. But then they had to retcon it with 'it was all an hallucination!" which is a cheap trick at the best of times, and have them be saved instead, taking away the fantastic character growth. If they really wanted the hallucination route, then at least have the spine to go The Descent route and have it just end on her alone in the cage laughing from oxygen deprivation, Kate already dead, as the lights flicker out and die and its just darkness, just like the movie began.
47 Meters Down (2017) is one of those movies that make a great double feature NOT with its official sequel but instead the similar movie released around the same time, The Shallows (2016)! Those two movies work together rather well! I do prefer 47 Meters Down (2017) over The Shallows (2016). With the latter one the protagonist makes more visible stupid decisions to HOW the person ended up there in the first place. You don't have that in this! Everything happens not so much because of the protagonists decisions but because simply a mechanical error on the boat (which even that they shouldn't expect as everything went fine when the guys got in the cage). All in all, this movie is really great! It also reminds me of the Ryan Reynolds movie "Buried (2010)"

Tara’s the cousin you get super excited for when you see them arrive at family gatherings for the holidays 😭😂
Love this comment ! Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling
No Fr tho I get so giddy when I see her in a video 🥹
Until she drinks too much wine and starts to sing.
Greg and Tara acting like Lisa's fed up besties when Lisa texted Stuart had me dying.
Claire Holt is always fantastic. She’s not acting much right now after having children but can’t wait for her to come back and do more.
Hearing Claire without her accent is wild to me every time. She did American accent well

also Fall (2022)
Definitely Fall 🤣@@mintnite
@@IVNHYPRFNKdo you have to be negative while also being positive or can you just be positive
@@IVNHYPRFNK 47 Meters Down is far superior to both The Shallows and Crawl. The Shallows only has one character, and Crawl has damn shitty dialogue.

I hope y'all react to Fall (2022)! It also captures the feel and tension of this movie but with the fear of heights! Loved the reaction
Watching Fall is pretty funny after watching 47 Meters. It's almost exactly the same story, told from the opposite direction
Well wait a minute, this film had a sequel lol, let's get through one movie reaction at a time. If they do the sequel I mean.
Fall is way better than this...and i only saw the Pg13 version . Not the r rated version!!!
@thcoct89 they are very similar
Fall is terrible compared to this. That movie made me so mad. Just a couple of unlikeable characters in a ridiculous situation.
"How many meters down do u think they're gonna go?"😂
I really love Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. I completely agree that they had great chemistry in this. Which makes it even sadder that the sister dies.
